Story
Danny and I have spent many hours in the park and he loves to chase the ball and explore the trees and bushes. He is excellent at following directions, staying close to me and gets lots of attention from everyone that passes by. He is such an unusual and handsome boy. Danny is an avid chewer, as we have said before, and really needs plenty of bones and chew toys. We have also been working on his separation anxiety and it is almost gone completely. Danny needs a job or a playful companion. Since he still seems to have puppy in him, he plays hard and fast and needs either a high energy human/runner, or another high energy doggie to wear him out so he doesn't get bored and get into things he shouldn't. As I am updating this Danny is lying at my feet sound asleep! This is a wonderful dog that just needs a family to call his own. Story
Mater is a 1 year old male corgi/terrier/chi mix. He is always happy and cute as a button. You can't help but smile when you see him!He takes a day to get used to new environments so give him a little time. As soon as he is used to it, he will perk right up and his personality shines through. So far he doesn't have an interest in cats. He would love to have a buddy to play with either at home or with someone you know. It takes him a minute to get used to the bigger dogs, but he comes around. He will still need a little help with the potty training, and we are waiting to get him neutered before he is available for adoption. However, don't let that stop you. We are taking applications now so don't miss your opportunity to have some sunshine in your life.Adoption fee goes toward the cost of medical care which includes vaccinations, neutering, microchip, and heart worm test (negative) If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Millie also known as “Velcro” is the absolute best snuggle buddy ever! This sweet girl is great on a leash and she’s housetrained. She loves to chase the ball but hasn’t quite learned to bring it back … but when you are this cute who cares! When we first learned about Millie she had 2 adorable pups with her. Sadly an out of state rescue took her puppies and left Millie behind when they learned she was Heartworm positive. Thankfully we were able to help and since then Millie has been treated for Heartworms and spayed. She is now healthy, happy, and ready for a snuggle party with a forever family! Millie is approx 31 lbs and 2 years old. She is great with kids and other dogs. If you would like to meet Millie, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
This pretty girl is named Sadie and she’s just over a year old. Due to my husband‘s recent cancer and needing to go on hospice I just don’t have the time or the energy to take care of her like she needs. She lives in a house with two ferrets and is very friendly with them. She’s never tried to attack them or bite them which makes me think should be good with cats and kittens. We have granddaughters that are five and seven and she always good with them. Sadie is a house dog and she is potty trained. The only time she has any accidents is when you don’t wake up in the middle of the night to take her out. She would be a great addition to your family.

Story
I'm looking for a experienced and calm home to adopt my corgi, Zelda. She's going to be 10 years old in April and I've had her since a couple months old. Recent changes in life and relocation has put both her and myself in a stressful situation, she's not adapting well. Req/infon: She will need someone experienced/patient either with no dogs or calm dogs. Due to 2 previous interactions with dogs attacking her any dogs that are high energy or sporadic will cause issue. She will attempt to avoid and get away from stressful situations but if the dog persists to invade her space she will snap back to warn them to get away. Calm dogs she is fine with, the respectful sniff and leave alone, fine and with time with the calmer dogs she will try to initiate play. Cats: uninterested, mild curiosity Kids: Loves to play and lick kids Horses: unknown

Story
Want a best friend who adores you, will always be by your side, and who thinks you hung the moon and the stars???? Meet Marigold!! She is absolutely the sweetest girl and loves her people more than anything in the world! Because of this, Marigold would do best in a home where her family is home more than not. Marigold needs slow introductions when meeting other furry friends but would do well with another calm dog. Marigold was found in a rural area along with 4 of her puppies back during an ice storm. Since she has been in her foster home, she has really bloomed! She is a smart girl and learned the doggie door quickly from her furry foster siblings. She is around 3 years old, 32 lbs., house-trained, and walks well on a leash. She rarely ever barks, sits on command and just longs to be by your side! Please note that we do not recommend Marigold to families with children under 5. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
