Health Condition Spayed. Microchipped, negative for heartworm upon retest (treatment complete) and dental scaling completed. Due to a small fracture in her right molars and tartar buildup, special care is taken to brush her teeth.2.) Rescue Story Victor was rescued by an Adogs volunteer while she was tied up tightly in a gravel lot. When found, she had clearly been neglected for a long time — food that had gone bad was piled next to her, and she looked frightened. But as soon as she felt safe, she wagged her tail and approached.3.) Basic Information With People: Gets along well with strangers as long as they don’t rush or approach in a threatening manner. Becomes affectionate if you approach and give her love. Acts cute and flops down comfortably when being petted by familiar people. Loves cuddling close to people. If you come home, she will hurry out to welcome you warmly. Is reactive with people who are running towards her, but she quickly stops if you tell her no. With Dogs: Gets along well with her foster family’s dog. Previously, she got overstimulated when seeing other dogs on walks but through training, she now calms down quickly and focuses on treats. Growls at first when she meets a dog at a dog friendly cafe, but stays still when they keep their distance. Is possessive of toys and sometimes tries to threaten other dogs when they play with her toy. Is getting training to fix this behaviour. With Cats: Although she growls at cats on walks, she stops quickly and passes by if you tell her to go. Separation Anxiety: Experiences anxiety when left alone, barking and scratching at the door. Does not feel separation anxiety when with other dogs or strangers though. Potty Training: Is very good with using pee pads. However, she remembers the first spot it was placed, so consistency in pad location is key. Prefers to go outside if possible and marks with her pee only when outside. Hygiene: Does excellently with baths and toothbrushing, and enjoys brushing. Does not like having her ears cleaned, so mouths at her foster parent’s hand as a warning without biting. Is very afraid of nail clipping, so it’s mostly handled through walks. Walks: Gets aggressive when birds or cats pass by. On days when she’s feeling irritable, she lunges with overstimulation and doesn't calm down when she sees other dogs. But on good days, she immediately refocuses on her guardian upon being called. Tends to pull on the leash hard only when other dogs are around or if she’s in a rush to potty. Is reluctant to go for walks on dark or cold days. Car Sickness: No motion sickness during a two-hour drive. Caution is required as there may be defensive (warning) biting if she is suddenly pushed to the side, if someone puts their face too close, if picked up abruptly, if bothered when she is already tired, or during ear cleaning. Doesn’t bark even at strangers outside the door as long as they don’t ring the doorbell. Barks briefly when family returns to home. Loves food very much. While this used to lead to some sensitivity (resource guarding) around her foster sibling, this behavior has improved significantly. Doesn’t like being bothered. Is okay with her foster sibling, but doesn’t like other dogs. Understands commands such as 'Sit down', 'Lie down', 'Turn', 'Nose', 'V', 'Paw', 'Wait', and 'Kiss'! Is a cutie pie that loves people. However, she has an independent side and dislikes being bothered too much.

Story
Meet Cheese! Cheese and her brother Mac were found abandoned in the woods in a remote area. They were covered in foxtails and were very underweight. They are both safe and sound in a foster home and doing very well.  Cheese is a lovely girl! She has a delightful temperament and is great with people and other dogs. She is learning about the world and with a little patience will continue to progress. Her foster family is very active and Cheese loves to go to the beech, sit on the kayak and go on adventures. Cheese is a short legged girl and may have some Corgi in her DNA. She certainly is not a purebred but that makes her unique and super cute.  Cheese would love an active home. She has not been around cats.  She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Tully   Name: Tully Age: 3 years Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Sex: Spayed Female Color: Brown & White Weight: 7.2 kg (15.9 lbs) Height: 33 cm (13 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Tully was rescued from a municipal shelter along with her puppies. Thankfully, all of her puppies have already found loving homes, and now it is Tully’s turn to find a family of her own.   ‍‍‍ Personality with People   Tully is an affectionate, social, and people-loving girl. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, leans in for affection, and enjoys being petted.   She loves women, men, and children alike, including children under 13 years old. Tully will often approach kids on her own to ask for pets and attention.   She is comfortable being picked up with an arm under her belly and, once she trusts someone, she will gladly roll over for belly rubs. If you stop petting her too soon, don’t be surprised if she politely asks for more!   Personality with Other Dogs   Tully is just as friendly with dogs as she is with people. She eagerly greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often invites them to play.   She is especially gentle and nurturing with younger dogs and puppies. In fact, puppies with their own mothers often choose to follow Tully because of her sweet and caring personality.   She generally gets along best with dogs that are similar in size or smaller than herself.   Cats   Tully has not been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged for approved applicants.   Energy Level   Tully has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor adventures and activities, but once exercise time is over, she is happy to relax quietly by your side.   Walks & Exercise   Because Tully required medical treatment after her rescue, she has not had many opportunities for regular walks yet. However, she naturally follows people well, has shown no fear of being outdoors, and is expected to continue gaining confidence with consistent walks and positive experiences.   Additional Information   No food guarding toward people or other dogs Friendly and easygoing temperament Calm and quiet in a kennel or crate Currently accustomed to outdoor potty habits   May bark at unfamiliar people Can be vocal when asking for attention or something she wants   Ideal Home   Tully would thrive in a home looking for a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys being close to both people and other dogs. Her friendly nature, moderate energy level, and compact size make her a wonderful fit for many different households, including families with respectful children or another friendly dog.   After raising her puppies and watching them find homes of their own, it’s finally Tully’s turn to be someone’s beloved family member.   Could Tully be the missing piece of your family? Meet Peach   Name: Peach Age: 5 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Color: Brown & White Weight: 5.8 kg (12.8 lbs) Height: 32 cm (12.6 in)   Rescue Story Peach and her siblings were abandoned in the mountains and eventually ended up in a municipal shelter. Sadly, they were placed on the euthanasia list before being rescued and given a second chance at life.   Personality with People Peach is a sweet and affectionate puppy who loves people. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, enjoys being petted, and often rubs against people for attention. She can be comfortably picked up with an arm under her belly, and once she feels comfortable, she’ll even roll over to show her belly.   Personality with Other Dogs Peach is friendly and social with other dogs. She enjoys greeting both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often invites them to play. She is generally most comfortable with dogs of a similar size. If another dog challenges her, she prefers to avoid conflict rather than respond. While she enjoys canine companionship, very high-energy dogs can sometimes feel overwhelming to her.   Cats Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but a cat test can be arranged.   Energy Level Peach has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but after exercise, she settles down nicely and relaxes.   Walking & Leash Skills Because she has limited walking experience, Peach may freeze when she encounters something unfamiliar or scary. However, she is highly food-motivated and quickly regains confidence when encouraged with treats and positive guidance.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet in a kennel/crate Currently eliminates outdoors in the exercise yard Gentle, easygoing temperament   Peach is a loving, gentle puppy looking for a family that will continue building her confidence and show her how wonderful the world can be. With her affectionate nature and sweet personality, she is sure to become a cherished companion. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Iron: The impossible springIron shouldn’t exist, and yet… he does. Iron defies all the laws of nature. How is it possible to jump over three feet high when your legs are only six inches long? We don’t know. How is it possible to perform all those soccer-style dribbles with a metal plate in your hip? It’s a mystery to us. Iron is a glitch in the Matrix, an unsolvable mathematical problem of the millennium. Iron is Houdini, a shepherd, Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise. Iron is Albert Einstein and Groucho Marx. He is Bart Simpson and Batman. An impossible mix of breeds that jumps, runs, climbs, falls, searches for you, and finds you.Scientists are still investigating Iron’s abilities. Additional photographic and video evidence can be found here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/iron-2025075D.Iron will chase you to the ends of the earth, and catch you… with his little legs. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Meet Jerome Age: 4 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Welsh Corgi Color: Brown Weight: 11kg Height: 36cm (shoulder height)   Jerome is a charming little Welsh Corgi with a bright personality, lots of affection to give, and the cutest short-legged walk. He loves people, enjoys making dog friends, and has an adorable playful side that makes him impossible not to smile at.   Rescue Story Jerome was rescued from a municipal shelter before euthanasia.   ‍‍ Social with People Jerome is very affectionate and friendly not only with people he knows, but also with strangers. He happily approaches people, rubs against them for attention, and allows handling very easily.   He especially seems to adore men and can get a little jealous when his favorite person gives attention to another dog. In those moments, he may bark or try to squeeze into their lap to steal the spotlight.   He has not been tested with children under 13 years old, but he allows being picked up with arms under his belly and will even show his belly to people he has just met.   Social with Other Dogs Jerome is social and friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. He enjoys greeting other dogs and inviting them to play. Rather than playing in large groups, he tends to prefer forming closer bonds with one dog he particularly likes.   He usually shows more interest in dogs smaller than himself and tends to avoid conflict even if another dog provokes him.   He can become a little jealous when his favorite person gives attention to another dog, but this does not escalate into aggression. Instead, he may bark for attention or climb into someone’s lap.   Cats His reaction to cats has not yet been observed, but cat testing can be arranged.   Energy Level Jerome has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but settles down nicely and relaxes calmly afterward.   Walking & Leash Jerome can become very excited during walks and tends to stay busy exploring on his own. His name response and eye contact outdoors are still a work in progress, and he shows mild leash pulling. However, because of his short legs and smaller stride, he naturally walks at an easy pace that matches human walking speed well. ‍   He is especially interested in men he passes during walks and often wants to say hello.   Other Behaviors Jerome does not guard food from either people or other dogs. He does have some demand barking, especially when he wants attention from people.   He stays quiet and settles well when placed in a kennel/crate, and he is currently accustomed to outdoor potty habits.   Jerome would thrive in a home that enjoys an affectionate, social dog with a little bit of a goofy and attention-loving personality. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything and will happily make you laugh every day. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram!
