Story
Captain Georgie Corgi-in-Disguise reporting for duty. He is an absolute cuite on a set of little legs that carry a big, loving personality. We suspect he’s a Corgi/Shepherd mix and once you see his video or photos, you’ll understand. Take a look for yourself! Head to YouTube and then come right back to read the rest of his captain’s log. https://youtu.be/yc9LJ-B-5aM Georgie is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs 41 lbs. (Rescue rules apply, so breed and birthday are our best guess.) Georgie is thoughtful when you first meet him and obviously because he is so cute, he attracts a lot of attention and love. The best part is that he is great on leash and checks in often with his person. Insider tip- he loves belly rubs and booty scratches and will work for a treat.. He is very food motivated which always makes training that much more fun! With other dogs, Georgie is social, polite, and confident. He met multiple new dogs and wandered the yard comfortably with them. He is fostered in a home with other dogs and his foster confirmed, he is easy company. When he met a smaller dog, a chihuahua type, he really lit up, was perfectly gentle and we could see his playful side. Unfortunately she isn’t the type to play so his offers went unreturned but it was still very cute to see. A medium-energy dog companion would suit him well but no kitties for Georgie- something in his DNA told him chase and for obvious reasons- cats hate that. Georgie would thrive in a home with a yard or even a townhome setup where he has space to move and explore. Once settled, he does have a bit of energy and would absolutely enjoy hikes and outdoor adventures with his people. He would do best with someone familiar with corgi traits, as he carries that classic thoughtful, loyal, slightly independent streak. Captain Georgie Corgi-in-Disguise is the steady, observant, cuddle-bug type who just happens to also be absolutely adorable and ready for adoption! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**MIA** A friend in California rescued Mia after her previous owner abandoned her and her sister at a groomer. Mia is a 5-year-old female Dorgi, a mix of Corgi and Dachshund. She is intelligent, protective, loving, and independent. Trusting new people may take her a few days, but treats can help. Once comfortable, Mia loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, chewing on her split Elk antler, and running around the yard. She has a great personality and is incredibly loyal to her favorite human. Mia does not require constant attention and is happy to sit and chew on her antler while her owner works. However, when it's time for affection, she will put down her antler to enjoy quality time with her human. Mia's need for a loving owner will inspire compassion and care in anyone who meets her. What Mia Needs: Mia needs a home without children or small animals, as she prefers to be the only pet. She loves attention and requires someone to provide her with plenty of love and care. Additionally, she needs a fenced yard for potty breaks and walks. Keeping her on a healthy, canine-specific diet to ensure her well-being is essential, reflecting your commitment and responsibility as an owner. We will offer comprehensive guidance on how to care for her. Most importantly, Mia needs a loving person dedicated to keeping her forever and will never abandon her again. MIA is very protective and needs proper introductions with new people as she will try to protect her human and her home (it's a trait of the corgi-dachshund if not kept well socialized). Once she meets new people and sees them consistently, she makes friends.  How Can You Meet Mia? To meet Mia, please use the link provided to apply. One of our volunteers will review your application and contact you to answer any questions and determine if you are a good match for Mia. Mia's need for a loving owner will make you feel compassionate and caring. Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and follows a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters about proper diet and nutrition.  There is a $350.00 adoption fee to adopt Mia. All funds will be used to cover her medical care and to help rescue more dogs.  Please  complete the online application using the following link:  https://rompinpawsrescue.com.   Be thorough in your responses and provide as much detail as possible so we can get to know you better and make the best match  p ossible. Story
Meet Harley! This chubby little girl is the most adorable girl you will ever meet. She likes spending time with you, she loves playing with the ball but she prefers time by your side more. When I say she's really adorable, it's because she is! She plays with other dogs, small, medium or large, she lives with cats although sometimes she usually runs after them to play (And cats that are not used to dogs don't like that) Potty trained with potty pads, crate trained, and good with adults and children. With strangers she is usually sociable, she is a very curious, loyal dog, and ready to play with you and receive cuddles at all times. She loves to give you kisses on the face, give you her paw to play with and she will always receive you from work with a huge smile. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.
