Story
Clarice is quite the sophisticated name for this girl, if she was your bestie you would probably call her Claire-Bear or Reese because it fits her fun-loving, warm side. If she was your bestie she would be the one who would say yes to an invite before you had a chance to explain the who/what/where. She is going, she will have a smile on, and she is guaranteed to be good company. We met Clarice on a dreary, cold miserable day and she managed to bring a double dose of sunshine. First, her face is adorable and her eyes sparkle. Second, she is so friendly and fun. In rescue it is always hard to pinpoint a breed but dogs like Clarice are especially fun challenges. Look at her, she is giving Collie/Corgi on the outside and all Labrador on the inside. Every person she met was as happy to meet her as she was to meet them, she exudes friendly and the cuteness is a bonus. Clarice is estimated to be just over a year old, weighs 43 lbs, and is not expected to get any bigger which makes her a perfect medium size adventure buddy. Take a look at her in all her goodness then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/7trJsypZ9j8 Clarice was introduced to a handful of dogs and she was consistently friendly. When introduced on-leash she was polite and quick to offer an invitation to play. Other dogs were dropped into the play-yard and she greeted them with the same friendly, playful invitation. She was fast-friends with a large, male shepherd who enjoyed a game of chase just as much as she did. With dogs that had a lower energy level she was wonderful at reading them, she would invite them to play without being pushy and would keep things light hearted. Clarice would love a forever home with an equally playful dog to bounce around with. Her love of chase would be best suited for a home with a yard but she could also adapt to an active household that can provide her with exercise and mental stimulation. She’s shown a natural skill reading other dogs, knowing when to play and when to keep things mellow, making her an ideal companion for a moderately playful canine sibling or a regular at your local doggie-daycare. While Clarice is full of enthusiasm, she’s also a quick learner. She’s still working on perfecting her leash manners, but at a year old, she has a great base. Her friendly nature with people and dogs can lead to her occasionally pulling to say hi. With a little training and practice, she’s going to be a walking pro who makes you proud. Clarice is a joy with people—so affectionate and sweet that she’ll happily roll over for belly rubs at any opportunity. During her touch test, she was quick to give kisses and showed how tolerant is, letting us pick her up without any fuss. If you have an open-door policy or love hosting, she would be a fantastic addition to your welcoming committee. She is going to spread good-vibes and may even be the biggest hit. If you’re looking for a bright-eyed, mid-sized bundle of joy who’s as ready for an adventure as she is for cuddles, Clarice is your girl. With her people-loving nature and playful spirit, she’s sure to be the best kind of companion—one who makes every day a little brighter. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**MIA** A friend in California rescued Mia after her previous owner abandoned her and her sister at a groomer. Mia is a 4-year-old female Dorgi, a mix of Corgi and Dachshund. She is intelligent, protective, loving, and independent. Trusting new people may take her a few days, but treats can help. Once comfortable, Mia loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, chewing on her split Elk antler, and running around the yard. She has a great personality and is incredibly loyal to her favorite human. Mia does not require constant attention and is happy to sit and chew on her antler while her owner works. However, when it's time for affection, she will put down her antler to enjoy quality time with her human. Mia's need for a loving owner will inspire compassion and care in anyone who meets her. What Mia Needs: Mia needs a home without children or small animals, as she prefers to be the only pet. She loves attention and requires someone to provide her with plenty of love and care. Additionally, she needs a fenced yard for potty breaks and walks. Keeping her on a healthy, canine-specific diet to ensure her well-being is essential, reflecting your commitment and responsibility as an owner. We will offer comprehensive guidance on how to care for her. Most importantly, Mia needs a loving person who is dedicated to keeping her forever and will never abandon her again. How Can You Meet Mia? To meet Mia, please use the link provided to apply. One of our volunteers will review your application and contact you to answer any questions and determine if you are a good match for Mia. Mia's need for a loving owner will make you feel compassionate and caring. Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition. To apply to adopt Mia, she has a $450.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.      https ://rompinpawsrescue.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 20, 2025, 10:01 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Jordie, a sweet Welsh Corgi mix who’s ready to find his forever family! Jordie’s journey began in an unfortunate way—he and a female dog, whom we named Juliet, were seen being dumped along the side of a road in a San Antonio neighborhood. Thankfully, a group of Good Samaritans saw the heartbreaking event unfold and rushed to get both dogs to safety. They were chasing after the car that left them behind, but now they are in good hands. At around 3 and a half years old, Jordie has shown his true, loving nature since the moment he was rescued. With his short legs, pointed ears, and adorable face, he’s a charming little guy with a big heart. Jordie loves nothing more than to give and receive kisses, and he’s always eager to be near you, often trying to snuggle in your lap or stay as close as possible. Jordie has been making great progress with leash walking and potty training, though he’s still a work in progress. He’s an easy dog to pick up and hug, and his sweet and gentle temperament makes him the perfect companion. Jordie is also learning to get along with the cat in his foster home, showing a healthy tolerance as long as the cat doesn’t invade his space. While he’s not too interested in toys right now, Jordie is a big fan of treats and takes them from your hand with a gentle touch. He’s looking for a family who will offer him the love and care he deserves—a family that will continue to nurture his sweetness and be there for him forever. Could you be Jordie’s new best friend? Come meet this adorable, loving boy today! Apply at www.adoggie4you.org    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 29, 2025, 10:45 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Oso! Oso is a lovable and energetic Welsh Corgi mix with a heart full of joy and love to give! This handsome boy came to us as an owner surrender due to his previous owner’s declining health. Now, Oso is ready to start a new chapter with a family who will adore his playful spirit and affectionate nature. Oso is incredibly friendly and outgoing—he never meets a stranger! He loves to play, jump, and shower his people with kisses. His energetic personality makes him the perfect companion for an active family or individual who enjoys playtime and fun. Oso also gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. While Oso hasn’t been around children, his love for jumping and energetic play might be best suited for a home with older, dog-savvy kids. He currently uses a doggy door to access an outdoor run with other dogs, so we’re unsure about his potty training habits. However, with patience and consistency, Oso will quickly adapt to his new home’s routine. Oso’s adoption fee is $300, which includes his neuter, negative heartworm test, up-to-date vaccines, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He is currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Oso is ready to bring endless joy and love to a family who will cherish him. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this playful and affectionate boy, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Meet Harley! This chubby little girl is the most adorable girl you will ever meet. She likes spending time with you, she loves playing with the ball but she prefers time by your side more. When I say she's really adorable, it's because she is! She plays with other dogs, small, medium or large, she lives with cats although sometimes she usually runs after them to play (And cats that are not used to dogs don't like that) Potty trained with potty pads, crate trained, and good with adults and children. With strangers she is usually sociable, she is a very curious, loyal dog, and ready to play with you and receive cuddles at all times. She loves to give you kisses on the face, give you her paw to play with and she will always receive you from work with a huge smile. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.
