Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MIA Background: Mia came to us from a rescue friend in California who took her in to foster with her sister after their human left them at the groomer and refused to pick them up.                                                                                                               Mia is a 3-year-old Corgi-Dachshund female.  Mia is incredibly intelligent, protective, loving, and independent. She can take a couple of days to trust new people and treats help with that. Once she settles in and knows you are not going to hurt her, she is all about belly rubs, running after her toys, Chewing on her split Elk antler, and chasing around the backyard. This dog has a personality plus!! Mia is incredibly loyal once she loves you and will want to be wherever you are. But she is not clingy, just give her a split antler and she is happy to sit and chew it while you work. She just likes to be in the same room as her person. But when you are ready to give her love, she will drop the antler to share quality time with her favorite human. MIA is the quintessential "Dorgi" Queen Elizabeth's favorite combination-Corgi and Dachshund. She truly needs a home with no cats or dogs. She is the queen of the home and will protect it fiercely. She makes an awesome watchdog and would be excellent for a single woman who wants a dog that will bond strongly. She will warn you when a stranger is at the door. What Mia Needs: Mia requires a child-free, small animal-free home. Mia  loves to be the center of attention and should be an only fur child. Mia seems to prefer women and needs a loving person or persons with a fenced yard for potty, a willingness to walk her, give belly rubs, and let her sleep with you. (she typically sleeps near the foot of her bed with her split Elk antler or under the covers close on cold nites) and someone who will Keep Mia on the very nutritious canine-specific foods she needs to stay healthy for her entire life (we provide in-depth education). Mia needs a woman who is committed to loving her forever so she will never again be abandoned! How Can You Meet Mia? Please use this link to apply, One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match  Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Mia she has a $495.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.      https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 23, 2023, 4:09 pm

Story
Meet Bodhi! Bohdi is a sweet, 3-year-old, 42 lb mixed breed pup who is ready to find his forever family. He is an adorable guy with short legs and a long body. He is currently living in a foster home and this is what his foster parents have to say about him… He is a low-key boy that loves to cuddle with his humans, he's so affectionate and just wants to have a human to shadow. He's the perfect dog to cuddle up with for a movie, he rarely barks, and is constantly in a good mood. He's a big silly boy who is so smart and intuitive. He's low energy but he does to get the zoomies and run around the yard when we get home or after going potty. He knows the following commands “sit, stay, lay down, touch, leave it”. He is food motivated which comes in handy with training or keeping him mentally stimulated, loves lick mats, and snuffle mats. He loves furniture, and we wouldn't recommend a home for him where he can't have free reign. He appreciates the finer things in life like a soft couch. He's not crate trained but is full house trained and able to roam freely in the home without any issues. He needs to be the only dog in the home and does not do well with cats. He is reactive on leash to other dogs, but has started making noticeable progress with positive reinforcement with high value treats and will need an adopter who will continue working on this with him. He has only met one child and was super patient with him. He has been taken to the vet and recently had a tooth pulled, teeth cleaned, and got an A+ from the vet for health. Bohdi is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.

Animal Profile: The Monsters Inc. puppies were part of an accidental litter in TX. Luckily the family reached out to a rescue contact for assistance, and asked for support getting the puppies placed in appropriate homes. Mom is being spayed and staying with her family, and the puppies are heading to Washington to start their new lives.  Foster Update: Despite being so little, Randall is a bundle of energy! He loves to play and interact with people and is very curious about the world around him. He enjoys running around on his own or being held by you. When you hold him he tends to settle down and snuggle. Overall he is such a happy little pup and so affectionate! Randall has been great in his crate. He sleeps there through the night and uses it to relax during the day. He respects our resident dog and his boundaries. He has been great with potty training and goes outside with regular breaks. We will continue to work on this and leash training! If you are looking for a fun puppy who will grow into the BEST companion, Randall is definitely your guy!! He loves playing with toys and exploring. He is happy around other dogs and while it takes a minute to get used to new people, he quickly warms up and asks for pats.  He has met a few kids and did very well with them. He is an independent little guy and happily plays with toys alone or next to my dog. We are working on house training and learning that the crate is great! He's learning to enjoy his crate. Getting better each time he goes in for a meal or nap.  He would do well with other dogs or alone.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Story
Fosters needed 9/15 - Boo  is doing great! She settled in very quickly yesterday, she was nervous at first, but then settled in for the car ride home.   She is already doing pretty good with the name game, and is getting used to the leash. She has been resting well in the kennel and even slept most of the night.   She's working on potty training and crate training. She is very kind, very little biting, chews on her toys quite a bit, and is doing great with our 9 year old daughter. So far I’d say she is a model puppy!   Animal Profile: The Monsters Inc. puppies were part of an accidental litter in TX.
