Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MIA Background: Mia came to us from a rescue friend in California who took her in to foster with her sister after their human left them at the groomer and refused to pick them up.                                                                                                              Mia is a 3-year-old Corgi-Dachshund female.  Mia is incredibly intelligent, protective, loving, and independent. She can take a couple of days to trust new people and treats help with that. Once she settles in and knows you are not going to hurt her, she is all about belly rubs, running after her toys, Chewing on her split Elk antler, and chasing around the backyard. This dog has a personality plus!! Mia is incredibly loyal once she loves you and will want to be wherever you are. But she is not clingy, just give her a split antler and she is happy to sit and chew it while you work. She just likes to be in the same room as her person. But when you are ready to give her love, she will drop the antler to share quality time with her favorite human. MIA is the quintessential "Dorgi" Queen Elizabeth's favorite combination-Corgi and Dachshund. She truly needs a home with no cats or dogs. She is the queen of the home and will protect it fiercely. She makes an awesome watchdog and would be excellent for a single woman who wants a dog that will bond strongly. She will warn you when a stranger is at the door. What Mia Needs: Mia requires a child-free, small animal-free home. Mia  loves to be the center of attention and should be an only fur child. Mia seems to prefer women and needs a loving person or persons with a fenced yard for potty, a willingness to walk her, give belly rubs, and let her sleep with you. (she typically sleeps near the foot of her bed with her split Elk antler or under the covers close on cold nites) and someone who will Keep Mia on the very nutritious canine-specific foods she needs to stay healthy for her entire life (we provide in-depth education). Mia needs a woman who is committed to loving her forever so she will never again be abandoned! How Can You Meet Mia? Please use this link to apply, One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match  Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Mia she has a $495.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.      https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 3, 2023, 3:41 pm

Story
Thank you for interested in adopting Taco. Please know that Taco is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick her up from the airport - such as SFO, LAX, SEA, IAH, etc International adoption is not a complicated process and we've done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Taco was tied outside when rescued and was shy towards people. However as time passed in the foster, now she likes people and other dogs. She gets overexcited about other dogs and wants to go say hello. For people, Taco is not too friendly but doesn’t avoid them either. This is her reaction at first meeting and she soon gets better. However she barks when a man in a heavy dark cloth approaches in the foster’s office. This is just a few times and she stops soon. On leash, she is good. She may pull temporarily especially when there is a dog passing by. Also she may bark a few times at other dogs but once she meets them she doesn’t bark any more. And she doesn’t get as excited as this in an open space, unleashed, and she plays with them just fine. She can only do “sit”. The foster says Taco is “ok” at the vet, meaning she doesn’t get too scared when getting shots and being touched by the vet. +Personality: She is a bit shy and needs some time until she opens her mind. She needs some time to adjust with the a new surrounding with new people. +Dog: She is good with other dogs but gets overexcited and may charge at a new dog she meets during walks. +Children: No experience with meeting children. +Cat: She’s not reactive to cats. She is indifferent even when the cat is next to her. +Car: She is good in car. She doesn’t get carsick and behaves well. +Potty: She is both outdoor and indoor potty trained. She prefers to go outside for potty but is also very successful for using indoor training pads. +Home alone: She briefly whines but soon gets used to being alone and stops. +Guarding: She has no guarding behavior even with her dog food. +Leash: She pulls her leash during walks. The foster calls her name and stops walking which makes Taco to stop as well. +Commends: Sit.

Story
PLEASE APPLY AT www.welcomepawsrescue.org Meet Kelly! Kelly is a super cuddly and affectionate 3-year-old Welsh-Corgi. He is a sweet and loving guy who will actively shove his face into you for hugs and pets and place himself on your lap when you are sitting for some attention. He likes to greet you by standing up and resting his paws on you so he can get all the scritches and Lovings. He likes to be around you when you are home, so he will lay next to you when you are on your computer or watching tv. Kelly loves walks, so expect to see a silly, funny, excited tap show when you bring out the leash. Kelly plays well alone with his toys, and also loves to play with his people. He will chase a ball around for a little bit by himself and loves to go fetch the toys you throw. (Whether he will bring it back to you or not is a hit or miss.) Kelly would thrive in a home who wants a loyal, sweet, loving doggy-guy who will be the companion and protector. Kelly has some energy to burn, and would do well with someone who hikes, jogs, or just is generally active. He does well with other dogs, and will play for hours, as long as there aren’t any special toys or special treats that might cause jealousy and spoil the fun. He would also do well with someone who can take him to an obedience class, where he can learn how to concentrate and respond to his humans, in a chaotic environment. Kelly is patiently waiting for the right person or family, who can be his forever home! If you think that you might be that person, please fill out an application, because we would love to hear from you!

Meet Happy💜 Happy lived neglected within a fenced area of junkyard. The person who reported Happy to us was feeding Happy for a year and when the junkyard went bankrupt, the owner left and abandoned Happy. Please be Happy’s miracle and become his forever family. 🙏🏻 * He has a Jindo face with short legs just like a corgi. He is adorable and sunny. 🥰 * He's wary at first, but once he opens up, he is sweet and asks for pets. 😊 * Not very interested in the other dog friends at ADOGS Center! He only takes his own treats and doesn’t pay much attention to other dogs. He does well all around! * He has a good appetite and eats very fast. He needs help with eating slowly because he might choke and cough when he eats too fast. * He does not bark when other dogs bark 👍🏻

Story
Meet DoYou 두유🩵 (DoYou means soy milk in Korean) Right after he was born, along with his 4 siblings and his mommy, they came to Korean City Shelter. Currently, Doyou is the last one who is waiting to be adopted. He loves his pup friends and plays very gently!! His social skill is on top of top.👍🏻 When introduced to dogs he meets for the first time, he wags and sniffs gently. Doyou is curious and energetic! He's calm but also he is actually a active, adorable, and mischievous pup. At the same time, DoYou can play by himself so he can be only dog or can live with other dog siblings. When his foster family is in the living room, Doyou doesn’t stay by himself in his room but will come to sit on his foster family’s lap.❤️ *Separation anxiety: None. DoYou can sleep by himself separately. *Potty-training: He is mostly housebroken and does well on a potty pad, but sometimes poops inside!😅 *Doyou sometimes bark when hearing an unknown sound, but there is no unnecessary barking. If his foster tells him to stop, he will stop barking right away. *No separation anxiety, doesn’t make messes, no carsickness, no unnecessary barking, and has a good social skill, Doyou is a perfect pup! *Doyou can walk, bathe, let his foster to clean his ears very gently.😀 However, there is some nipping when his toenails get trimmed…🥺 *No carsickness. *So smart!! Mastered sit, wait, give a paw, spin, nose, hi five, and slow! 👍🏻(If you say slow! he will eat slowly) Possible to do “Bark low!” and “Bark loud!” *Doyou’s favorites: Ripping papers play, ball play, tug play, treats, people, walking outside, nose walk toy, doggy friends, meat treats, cooked dried pollock treats. 💙 Foster Instagram: @doyousoymilk_foster 💙 Health issues : Allergic to egg white and peanuts, has atopic dermatitis

Story
Meet Younghee🩷 She is very affectionate and gives kisses. She's very interested in people she meets first time but if someone comes at her, she gets uncomfortable and can show her teeth out of anxiety. She can be sensitive to a person moving the hand and gets sensitive her right paw and the buttock to be petted. Better to touch these areas after she gets more acquainted. * Separation Anxiety: Almost none. She is also good at being alone for 4 hours. * Potty training: 100% outdoor potty! She makes mistakes when anxious. * She gives kisses and is affectionate. She is very interested in people, but if you try to hug or touch her, she may show her teeth to show she feels uncomfortable😭 * She is sensitive to moving hands, especially people touching her right forefoot and butt, so those areas should be petted once she is closer to you. * She loves to go for a walk! She waits by the door first if you bring out her leash!❤️ * She’s gotten used to going for walks so she says hello to well mannered dogs! She still avoids reactive or aggressive dogs. * She has hunting instincts so she chases after cats or birds. * She doesn’t really like adult men. If she meets middle-aged men during her walks, she tries to avoid them. * She doesn’t like to put on a raincoat on rainy days but is getting used to it. * You can wipe her feet with a wet tissue after a walk. However, please tap beforehand on which foot to be wiped. * She is fearful but curious! If someone approaches while taking a walk, she might growl out of fear. If you sniff her from a distance, she will slowly approach you. * Indoor activity is really low. She likes squeaky toys and playing with a ball, and can play tug as well. * She’s been barking less from outside noises. She only barks at delivery sounds when her guardian is with her. * If she trusts the person, she can tolerate getting her teeth brushed or getting her nails clipped. * She had carsickness on her first car ride but got better from the second time. * Sheds. * Can do “sit”, “wait”, “lie down” (with treats). * Likes: squeaky ball, Walks, Sweet potato, Beef jerky, new place! 💙 Foster Instagram: @adopt_young_hee
