Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**MIA** A friend in California rescued Mia after her previous owner abandoned her and her sister at a groomer. Mia is a 5-year-old female Dorgi, a mix of Corgi and Dachshund. She is intelligent, protective, loving, and independent. Trusting new people may take her a few days, but treats can help. Once comfortable, Mia loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, chewing on her split Elk antler, and running around the yard. She has a great personality and is incredibly loyal to her favorite human. Mia does not require constant attention and is happy to sit and chew on her antler while her owner works. However, when it's time for affection, she will put down her antler to enjoy quality time with her human. Mia's need for a loving owner will inspire compassion and care in anyone who meets her. What Mia Needs: Mia needs a home without children or small animals, as she prefers to be the only pet. She loves attention and requires someone to provide her with plenty of love and care. Additionally, she needs a fenced yard for potty breaks and walks. Keeping her on a healthy, canine-specific diet to ensure her well-being is essential, reflecting your commitment and responsibility as an owner. We will offer comprehensive guidance on how to care for her. Most importantly, Mia needs a loving person dedicated to keeping her forever and will never abandon her again. MIA is very protective and needs proper introductions with new people as she will try to protect her human and her home (it's a trait of the corgi-dachshund if not kept well socialized). Once she meets new people and sees them consistently, she makes friends.  How Can You Meet Mia? To meet Mia, please use the link provided to apply. One of our volunteers will review your application and contact you to answer any questions and determine if you are a good match for Mia. Mia's need for a loving owner will make you feel compassionate and caring. Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and follows a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters about proper diet and nutrition.  There is a $350.00 adoption fee to adopt Mia. All funds will be used to cover her medical care and to help rescue more dogs.  Please  complete the online application using the following link:  https://rompinpawsrescue.com.   Be thorough in your responses and provide as much detail as possible so we can get to know you better and make the best match  p ossible. Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Roxxie. What a beautiful little girl. Roxxie came to us from a local shelter as a stray. She was in need of medical care for an eye issue. She saw a specialist and it was determined that likely had a congenital issue KCS or dry eye. Per the recommendation of our veterinary ophthalmologist - the best treatment was to have the eye removed. She doesn't even notice it's missing. Corgis are known for being smart, energetic, bold, and loyal companions with big personalities, often acting like a "big dog in a small package" due to their herding background, making them great but sometimes a bit stubborn and he will need consistent training, play, and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and bossiness. Roxxie is about five years old, spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She's about 24#. Roxxie has been fostered with other dogs and has done great. She is playful and fun and loves a good game of tug. One foster had a cat and at first it was fun to chase, but then she learned the routine. We think a dog savvy cat would be fine. We don't know how she is with children, but older kids would be fine. Roxxie appears to be housebroken, but may need reminders in a new home. The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in Marysville. Applications may be approved in just a few days depending on how quickly references respond. If you are planning on a vacation or have an issue that may delay your ability to pick up within a few days of approval, please let us know in advance. Adoption fee is $375. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

Story
Meet Harley! This chubby little girl is the most adorable girl you will ever meet. She likes spending time with you, she loves playing with the ball but she prefers time by your side more. When I say she's really adorable, it's because she is! She plays with other dogs, small, medium or large, she lives with cats although sometimes she usually runs after them to play (And cats that are not used to dogs don't like that) Potty trained with potty pads, crate trained, and good with adults and children. With strangers she is usually sociable, she is a very curious, loyal dog, and ready to play with you and receive cuddles at all times. She loves to give you kisses on the face, give you her paw to play with and she will always receive you from work with a huge smile. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Jango! Jango is a 1.5-year-old, 25 lb Corgi/Basset-type mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. With his low-rider build and big personality, he’s equal parts charming and entertaining! Jango is sweet, spunky, goofy, loves to play, enjoys being active with his people, and is always up for an adventure. He is also treat-motivated and eager to engage. This lovable guy would make a fantastic adventure buddy for someone who wants a fun, affectionate, and compact companion. He does well with other dogs and would love a canine sibling to play with, but he could also thrive as an only dog as long as his adopters commit to keeping him well-socialized. Jango has not been tested with cats. Jango is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Bandit from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 6 month old  male Corgi mix.  I weigh approximately 24 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,595 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application.
