Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MIA Background: Mia was rescued by a friend in California after her previous owner abandoned her and her sister at a groomer. She is a 3-year-old Corgi-Dachshund female. Mia is a smart, protective, loving, and independent dog. It may take her a few days to trust new people, but treats can help with that. Once she gets comfortable around someone, she loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, chewing on her split Elk antler, and running around the yard. She has a great personality and is incredibly loyal to her favorite human. She doesn't need constant attention and is happy to sit and chew her antler while her person works. However, when it's time for some love, she'll drop the antler and enjoy some quality time with her human. Mia is a "Dorgi," which is a mix of Corgi and Dachshund, and she needs a home without cats or other dogs. She is very protective of her home and will make a great watchdog. She would be a perfect fit for a single woman who wants a loyal dog that will bond strongly with her.  What Mia Needs: Mia needs a home without children or small animals, as she prefers to be the only pet. She loves attention and needs someone who can give her lots of love and care. She also needs a fenced yard for potty breaks and walks. It's important to keep her on a healthy, canine-specific diet to ensure she remains healthy for her entire life. We will provide in-depth education on how to care for her. Most importantly, Mia needs a loving person who is committed to keeping her forever and will never abandon her again. How Can You Meet Mia? Please use this link to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and get in touch with you to answer your questions and see if you are a match for Mia. Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Mia she has a $550.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.      https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 5, 2024, 3:18 pm

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Benny Boy. I am a delightful and heavenly little man who is looking for someone to give me my place in the world. Here is a little info about me:Breed: Corgi mixAge: 2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 40 poundsHeight: 20 inches highHighlight(s): playful, clever, super sweet and loving I was found as a stray when I was  only a month old. My rescuer in Israel heard a puppy crying and discovered me hiding under a tree. I was so alone and scared and very hungry.  It is not known what happened to my mother and siblings but it is likely I was the only survivor. I was taken to a shelter where I stayed for the next year and a half until I was able to come to Canada. I am currently living in a foster home with six other dogs and I get along great with all of them. I would love to share my new home with another dog or two but am also happy to be the only dog. I love going for walks and playing with my people. But I am also very good at chilling out at home. If you decide to meet me (and you would be very smart to do so) I will impress you with how cute and sweet I am. I can be a bit slow to warm up to some people but it's always easy when I am approached by someone with a calm, gentle manner.  One of my favourite things is to eat. This makes me easy to train as I will do anything for a liver treat. In fact my current foster has taught me not to bark when I am startled or hear unusual noises. I have never shown any protection around food or toys. At home, I am the sweetest, snuggliest boy. I love to curl up next to my humans, to nap and get lots of pets and belly rubs. I like to chew but don't worry, I know which toys are mine and only chew them. I'm also a good guard dog and will alert you when someone is outside. It is no problem for me to stay home alone for a few hours as I am quiet and have no separation anxiety.  A home with a fenced yard will be best for me as I have a bit of bladder control problem which is being treated with medication.   Energy Level: moderate  I get along with:Dogs: yes!Cats: unknownKids: unknown Training: a bit of leash trainingLeash skills: someHouse trained: Not yet. Please be prepared to help me learn! I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is by donation.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1675200##
