Adoption Donation: $250 Meet Lil Man – A Gentle Soul in Search of Peace Quiet | Dog-Friendly | Sweet and Shy Lil Man is a quiet, tender-hearted boy looking for a calm and loving home. He can be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his sweetness shines through. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and would do best in a peaceful environment, adults only, where he can come out of his shell at his own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, Lil Man might be your perfect match. Give this sweet boy the quiet life he’s been waiting for. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Story
11 months old (estimated) Neutered male 21 lbs. Low rider (long body, short legs) Has done well with other dogs No known experience with cats or children Gadget is a friendly, outgoing boy with a big heart and a love for adventure! Gadget is sweet, well-mannered, and doing great on leash. He’s still learning some basic obedience, but he’s a quick study who loves making his people proud. Gadget’s charming personality and enthusiasm make him impossible not to love! Gadget is heartworm positive so he is looking for a foster home while he's undergoing treatment. The cost of treatment is completely covered by the shelter.    The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.December 8, 2025, 3:32 pm

Story
About Me: Name:  Tallulah Breed (or best guess): Chiweenie Approximate Age: 3 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 13# Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Patient, loving family Why In Rescue: stray/lost dog Profile:  Tallulah was a stray/lost dog from Milwaukee County.  Because of this we don't have a history or background on her.  We don't know if she was housetrained or if she lived with other pets or children.  When she first came into rescue, she needed a bit of time to warm up to the caretakers, but it didn't take long and she was asking for attention.  She may need time to warm up to new people at first, and would likely prefer a home without young children that may be a little too wild for her.  She has a kennel mate that she came into animal control with (Tameka), so she may like to have a canine companion, but it isn't required.  If interested, please fill out the pre-adoption application on the Bichon and Little Buddies website. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 27, 2025, 11:22 pm

Story
🛡️🐾 Sir Longfellow — The Noble Lord of Short Legs & Squeaky Pigs(Red Dachshund • 1 year old • Knight of the Pink Pig Order)Presenting… Sir Longfellow of Prentice, a distinguished young nobleman blessed with the body of a sausage, the soul of a poet, and the dramatic flair of a Victorian widow. His favorite pastimes include:⚔️ Fetching the Sacred Orange Ball🛡️ Engaging in Tug-of-War Combat🏰 Tossing His Loyal Pink Pig Squire Across the Kingdom💘 Cuddling his chosen human at the Royal Bedtime HourThis handsome red-coated knight struts through the land with what scholars call the “Dachsy Strut”—a bold, chest-out, heroic prance that suggests he is only moments away from slaying a dragon… or demanding cheese. He has a heart as soft as his russet fur. Sir Longfellow bonds deeply with his lady guardians, offering them loyalty, warmth, and a face that says,“I will protect you from all dangers… except mailmen. Those are terrifying.”He can be cautious of unfamiliar men, preferring slow introductions (as all refined gentlemen do).Sir Longfellow is doing well with house training, walks politely on leash, and interacts sweetly with other dogs. He is submissive, gentle, affectionate, and honorable—but do not ask him to enjoy confinement.A knight requires freedom (and access to his pink pig).If you seek a loyal companion, a bedtime cuddler, a tiny warrior with a big spirit—and a dog whose name alone sparks joy—Sir Longfellow awaits your summons.⸻📌 ADOPTION DETAILS📍 Location: Prentice, WI🧡 Age: 1 year old✨ Weight: 14 lbs🐾 Breed: Red Dachshund🚽 Housebroken: Doing well, not perfect🐶 Dog Friendly: Yes, submissive and non-aggressive🐱 Cat Friendly: Unknown🧒 Kid Friendly: Unknown🦮 Leash Trained: Yes🛏 Crate Trained: Tolerates it, prefers freedom❤️ Vetting: UTD on vaccines💵 Adoption Fee: $450👉 Apply to adopt Sir Longfellow: www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550
