Story
We joined two households 2.5 years ago. Miss Paris is not fond of a family member, will bark at them everytime comes out of their room & wanders the house. Miss Paris challenges me and my husband endless each time. We have tried numberous ways to get this behavior to stop and nonething seems to work. Its time to find Miss Paris a new home. She is not aggressive and doesn't bite. When meeting people for the first time she can be shy and bark, but once warms up will play fetch, etc. **Miss Paris otherwise is a great, fun dachshund who plays well with the other dachshunds in the household. She loves playing fetch, going for walks and will sleep in your bed if you let her. She can be funny at times. We are requiring two meet and greets before adoption to make sure her and u/yr family a good fit. First meet and greet with you, household members and if dogs in household. Second without out dogs unless you like them to come with.

Story
About Me: Name: Siena Breed (or best guess):  Chihuahua mix (or Chiweenie) Approximate Age: estimated birthday 7/25/23 Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: loving, patient family Why In Rescue: Texas Transfer Siena is a sweet and spunky female Dachshund-Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home!  Siena is a bundle of energy and loves going for walks and playing with squeaker toys.  But don't let her lively personality fool you - Siena is also a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than laying by her humans!  She is great at entertaining herself but also enjoys being around people, making her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys both active playtime and cozy snuggles. If you are looking for a furry friend who can keep up with your active lifestyle but also knows how to relax and unwind after playtime shenanigans; then Siena could be the pup for you.  Siena will use her voice to communicate how happy she is and when she wants to play!  She is eager to find her forever home.  Adopt Siena and add a little bundle of joy to your life. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $450 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS July 26, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Meet Buddy! My name is Buddy, and I am a happy, 14lb senior Daschund that can’t wait to be your…buddy! I’m enjoying being silly in my foster home and getting along well with the mellow dog who lives there. I enjoy cats but confuse them for toys so would do best in a home without them. I don't currently live with any kids in my foster home, but older, respectful kids are okay in my book and could definitely live with them! I have great house manners. I am learning my new environment quickly and am doing great with going potty outside when on a consistent schedule. If my forever family will be away for a while, then I'm happy to wear a belly band while I gain confidence and overnight. I would love if my new family was home more often than not though! I'd love to have a fenced-in yard in my forever home because I love being outside, but I also do well on a leash. I just have to be contained. Otherwise, I like to zoom really fast, and I don't want to get hurt. I would do best in a single family dwelling, as I like to say hello when meeting new people, and I would hate to disturb other tenants in an apartment. I love going on adventures, both in the car (pup cup, anyone?!) and exploring outside. I’m happy and curious and always ready for a snack. I’m so excited about finding a family that makes me feel safe and loved so I can love you right back twice as much. If you are ready for love from a happy and silly pup…let’s be buddies!! *Buddy is being fostered in the Milwaukee, WI area. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality and their needs.
