Story
Meet Lilly! Nickname: Princess Lilly Breed: Dachshund Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 15 pounds Background: Lilly was surrendered with another dog and some kitty friends after their elderly owner went into assisted living. Foster home: Fox Point, WI Activity level: Low Friendly with: Dogs, cats, and respectful children. She is chill like that! Meals: Lilly eats 2x/day; a dollop of wet food with any meds tucked in, topped with about 1/3c of sensitive stomach kibble for small breeds Sleep style: Until her IVDD diagnosis, Lilly loved sleeping in the big bed with humans and other dogs, and easily used a long ramp to go up/down as she wished. She’s not big on being under the covers; she overheats. She will also sleep in a crate, as she’s been doing since the IVDD diagnosis and needing to keep her more still. Snore-o-meter: 1/10. Maybe a little purr now and then. Bark-o-meter: 1/10. A princess doesn't bark. It's unseemly. Shedding meter: 2/10. Just a few sparkles on your floor. Walkout song: "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar. Despite everything life has thrown at her, she keeps getting up and living her life. Favorite pattern: Hot pink! Best accessory: A tee shirt knotted 80s style. Reeboks with scrunchy socks. If she could, she would rock a side pony tail. Dream job: Peanut Butter sommelier. That's a thing, right? Best feature: her soulful eyes. They look right into your heart and steal it. Favorite season: Summer. Sunbathing would definitely be her jam. Give her some Sun-In and a bottle of baby oil (the 80s are BACK baby!) Personality: Snuggle bug, quiet, chill, sweet, easygoing Medical: Lilly’s current seizure meds are approximately $90/month. She takes 250mg Keppra 3x/day and recently added 75mg Zonisamide 2x/day. Lilly is temporarily taking Gabapentin and Carprofen to treat IVDD pain. She is very easy to dose; she will swallow pills easily in her food; she takes her Keppra easily with a dab of peanut butter. Lilly has a seizure disorder and was recently diagnosed with IVDD. She has lost almost 3 lbs since coming into rescue, and will need to keep extra weight off to help her back. She very recently had a dental, and 15 teeth were removed. She needs to strengthen her back legs/back end, so she walks with a cute twisty little swagger! Lilly will benefit from continued acupuncture and cold laser therapy for her back. Microchipped Spayed Housebroken, Lilly was left in a home with only one daily visit for food, so she is working on refining her potty habits. She will stand at the door and bark politely to go out, however she also likes to play a game of only actually going outside the third or so time you open the door! She will consistently use potty pads, especially during bad weather. Crates are perfectly fine, and a great place for a private snooze! UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Tobi is from Texas. He is currently three years old. He will be four in August. He is such a good dog, so sweet. But very protective and very reactive. Once he’s attached to you he wont like anyone else, unless you leave the room. I am looking for someone who can give him care , someone who is always home. He needs it. I think he has separation an anxiety. So occasionally he will potty. He loves to cuddle. He loves attention. He loves to fetch. He just loves to do anything. He’s very active. And he is healthy! He has no health problems that i am aware of at the moment. he never had any in the past either! Please reach out with any questions

Meet Stevie – Your New Little Shadow 💕 Stevie is a 3-year-old Chiweenie with a heart as big as her adorable ears! This 12-pound sweetheart was found as a stray, but despite her rough start, she proved to be the most devoted mama. Stevie lovingly raised six healthy puppies and took amazing care of each one. At about 12 pounds, she’s the perfect little size for couch snuggles, movie nights, and tagging along on daily adventures. Stevie is located in Texas. Story
Meet this adorable little Doxie-ish mama, around 24 years old and just 15 pounds of sweetness ! She came to us from a hoarding situation, so the world was a big, scary place at first. During her first week in foster care, she was shy and unsureshe didnt know basic commands or even how to walk on a leash. But wow, has she come a long way! Now, shes truly blossoming. Her tail wags, her personality is shining through, and shes even discovered some quirky habitslike sleeping in the funniest spots (yes, even on top of her kennel!). She may still let out a bark at neighbors or her reflection, but shes learning quickly and settles down with a gentle reminder! Shes been working hard and already knows sit, stay, down, and outsidesuch a smart girl! She absolutely loves to snuggle and may occasionally climb right up to your face for affection, but with a little guidance, she happily curls up beside you. She gets along well with her fosters beagle but can feel overwhelmed in large groups of dogs, so a calmer home or smaller pack would suit her best. This sweet girl is playful, loving, and full of personality. Shes overcome so much and is ready to keep growing with a family who will guide her with patience and love. Shes sure to bring smiles, laughs, and lots of cuddles to her forever home If youre interested in one of our dogs or would like help finding the perfect match please submit an application at: https://forgoodrescue.net/dog-adoption/We will not discuss details regarding any particular dog if you have not yet applied to adopt. For Good Rescue is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization.
