Story
Looking to rehome my snuggle buddy...he is 5 and he;s so loving and needy of attention, he doesn;t like to be alone and he loves to be right there with you wherever you are. He is full of love!! He absolutely loves the outdoors, someone with a nice fenced in yard would be perfect as well as a good loving home! He would be great for a family with kids or someone who has the time and love for him. He's been the best little guy ever and it hurts my heart deeply to have to do this but he really deserves a loving home that has the time to spend with him. I work 4 jobs and I;m rarely home and even though I know he;s loved and taken care of its not fair to him because I just dont have the time and he;s home alone a lot. Praying to find a great loving family or individual who has the time for my fur boy!

Story
Lola is a darling little snugglebug who is ready to find her forever family! We estimate she is about 12 years old and looks like a wire-haired Dachshund; she's about 14 lb. She gets along well with everyone - dogs, cats, and people - though she will chase after chickens and bunnies! She is mostly deaf but she gets around well and learns quickly (learned to use the bell to go out at her foster home).  When she came to us she had a mass that had to be removed from her hip, but it was successfully & completely removed. She had a complete dental and wellness care. Now she is being treated for heartworm infection, but we would love to find her forever family so she can finish out her treatment while she gets settled in to her happily-ever-after.   Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Each dog in our rescue is in a loving foster home, where they can grow, play, and recover from their time spent on the streets or in a shelter. If you'd like to meet an adoptable dog, please fill out an application on our website, www.edcr.org. Because we are a foster home based rescue a completed adoption application is required to meet our adoptable dogs. July 18, 2024, 12:07 am

Story
Shotske came to us after his owner died with another dog. He is almost 11 years old and a long haired dachshund. Shotske is incredibly sweet, and really enjoys long strolls outside and treats. New situations and new people make him a bit nervous, but he’s still sweet and gentle, even when unsure - he will just retreat. When shotske arrived here, he was over 25lbs and experiencing some back leg/end paralysis which isn’t uncommon with aging dachshunds, especially if obese. He is now a healthy weight, runs and leaps, moderately active, and not on any medications. A new family will have to make sure his diet is strict, because he loves food and treats but needs to be normal sized to stay healthy. Shotske came to us with Pansy and can be adopted separately, but then would prefer another small dog his size that is in need of social connectedness, or to be the only dog in a home where he could be the center of attention. He is housebroken, and will go outside, but his previous owner used potty pads in the house, so if you don’t make him go outside, he won’t. He requires regular grooming and absolutely NO cats.
