Story
This handsome gentleman is looking for his forever best friend and snuggle partner. Watson is a gentle mannered boy that loves to be attached to his person. You’ll never be lonely as Watson likes to be right by your side! He really loves snuggling on the couch but also loves napping in his cozy beds. Watson came to the rescue overweight but is doing well with losing weight. He loves going on walks outside. He also loves his stuffies and will carry them around. Watson recently had all his remaining teeth extracted so no more dentals! He aims to please and is very food/treat motivated. He has come a long way with his potty training and with a little more consistent training will continue to improve. He has alopecia and is missing patches of hair on his back; this requires no treatment and does not bother him. He does well with other small dogs and kids. Unknown about cats. Watson is a cuddlebug and would love nothing more than to have a person he can love on all day!

Story
Meet Marley & Luna! These two are sweet 12-year-old Chihuahua mixes looking for a loving home where they can spend their golden years together. Through no fault of their own, these wonderful pups found themselves at the shelter, and while it`s been a big change for them, one thing has never changed—the comfort they find in each other.Marley is the more energetic of the pair and still enjoys exploring and taking in the world around him. Luna is a little more laid-back, but she still has plenty of pep in her step and is always ready for a stroll or some quality time with her favorite people. Both dogs are incredibly friendly, love attention and affection, and are happy to soak up all the pets they can get. They also get along well with other dogs. These two are looking for a home where they can stay together and enjoy their golden years surrounded by love. If you`re ready to open your heart to a pair of wonderful senior dogs, Marley and Luna will reward you with endless companionship and unconditional love.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Poppy Churro is perhaps the most adorable little pup I've ever met. Poppy loveeees to play, she is a high energy nugget. Loves kids, loves running around, & loves to rough house with my Great Dane. Great Danes however, are not high energy dogs, and mine gets stressed out often from being the focus of Poppy's attention. GSP's are hunting dogs so she also needs someone that can take her on regular walks, runs, or to the park. Poppy is great at entertaining herself, loves puzzle toys, bones, lick mats, you name it. She is highly food motivated, intelligent, and trains well. She is also a great little cuddler and loves to get all snug at night. My Dane doesn't know how to say "I'm done playing now" so unfortunately, the personality + age differences between Poppy and her are causing her quite a bit of stress. This is not a decision I've come by lightly, so I won't be giving her to just anyone. Only the best homes will be considered for my little friend here.

Story
Lucy Lue is a well behaved shy sweet girl... but her owner can no longer take care of her. Lucy is around 10 years old & has been WELL taken care of.Had same owner for 8-9 yearsRegular vet visits. No health problems. No bad habbits. She is a sweet friendly girl who begs to be rubbed on & does really well with other dogs, cats, & kids...Her owner is 70 years old, has trouble walking & prone to falling... & poor vision means she cant see when Lucy is at her feet.Lucy hasnt been on a walk in years... & doesnt even spend any time outside getting any exercise or fresh air... considering shes still in great shape for a 10 year old dog.So shes become a bit chubby. She also doesnt get cuddles or rubs cuz her owner just isnt that way.Lucy deserves to live out her elder years being loved on, being walked & being free to run & enjoy the outdoors. If youd like to meet her... plz let me know. Thanks.

Story
Hi, I'm Blondie. My sister and I were picked up as strays, and now we're looking for a forever home. We're both sweet playful girls who love each other and love to cuddle with our people. We do well with other dogs and kids of all ages. We do like to chase cats if they run, but we're so small we don't really pose a threat. We look to be chihuahua mixes of some kind. We're about a year and a half old. I weigh 8 lbs and Bailey weighs 13. We are crate trained and housebroken as long as we're kept on a schedule. If you're interested in meeting us please fill out an application and my friends with ARPO will be in touch! A home visit will be required so only homes in a 50 mile radius of Indianapolis should apply. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website at arporescue.org to learn more about our adoption process and complete our adoption application. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
