Story
Mattie is a little female Chiweenie whose owner apparently didn`t want her, so abandoned her with relatives. They, sadly, cannot afford to keep her, so she came to Misty Eyes to find a forever family. She`s very sweet and friendly, is about 7 years old and weighs 15 lb. She gets along with other dogs and has lived with cats with no problem. She has also lived with small children and did well. If you`d like to meet sweet Mattie, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
JJ’s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - Passed his cat test!Kids - Best suited for a home with kids 14+At 10 years old and 22 pounds, JJ is a little dog with a big heart and an even bigger love for his safe spaces. He’s been a loyal companion for years and is now looking for a home where he can feel secure, loved, and understood.JJ is crate-trained and finds comfort in his own little den, often retreating there when he needs a break. He’s the kind of dog who prefers a predictable routine and a calm, low-key environment. He’s done well with older children and enjoys short, leisurely walks where he can take in the sights at his own pace. When it comes to meeting new people, JJ can be a little reserved at first. He’s cautious, especially with unfamiliar men, but once he warms up, he’s willing to accept gentle affection on his own terms. He doesn’t like to be picked up unexpectedly, but he’ll walk willingly on a leash and loves being outside for fresh air and potty breaks.JJ isn’t looking for a busy, bustling household—he’s looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace and enjoy his golden years in peace. Give him time, respect his boundaries, and he’ll repay you with quiet companionship and unwavering loyalty. Could JJ be the missing piece to your home?-----Adoption Fees & Benefits:Under 1 year: $2001-4 years: $1005-9 years: $5510+ years: $35Fees include: Heartworm test (age appropriate), vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, complimentary bag of food, wellness exam, and rabies vaccine.A `meet and greet` with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas.
