Story
At ten years old, Puppy is a "professional companion" who has mastered the art of the nap. A Wiener/Minpin mix, he’s officially traded high energy for the cozy life—specifically, napping as close to your face as possible. He’s a sensitive, sweet soul who thrives on being near his people, usually burrowed under a blanket in one of his favorite sweaters. While he’s highly motivated by snacks (he’ll be your shadow the second the fridge opens), his real goal is just to be part of the pack. He’s incredibly chill with kids and has been best friends with Gypsy for years. He’s a bit intimidated by cats, but he’s the type to just give them their space and find a lap instead. Puppy is fixed and UTD on shots. He’s mostly house-trained, though he has a bit of an "anxious bladder" if things get stressful. Overall, he’s just a gentle, loyal, and low-maintenance little guy who wants nothing more than a warm sweater and a spot on the couch next to you.

Story
Meet Nascar, a shy pup with a tiny frame and a courageous heart. She's already overcome so much in her young life, arriving at APA! underweight and learning to trust humans again. Since going to foster, she's steadily feeling better, and showing glimpses of the confident, loving dog she can be. Nascar has been living with another dog and would thrive in a home with a confident dog sibling to show her that life isn't so scary, but any calm and understanding household will do just fine. She's making great progress with new people, and has shown she enjoys playing with a few favorite toys, including squeaky toys and bully sticks. Despite being shy, Nascar has shown she's capable of learning with patience, gentle guidance, and consistent love. She does well when left alone for several hours, and has started making her way out of her shell with encouragement. Nascar's journey so far has not been easy for her, but her spirit is strong, and the rewards of helping her grow and trust again are immeasurable. She's ready to bloom and be a loving companion in an adoptive home. Can that be with you?

Story
You gotta love this senior!! - SUNNY SIDES got her name as she is so positive and happy despite her ordeal. This hound mix is bursting with love despite her previous living conditions. Sunny side was found tied to a fence and had a bladder full of stones. She has had the necessary surgery to remove the stones and recovered well. She is on a prescription urinary diet, but no longer suffers from bladder incontinence and takes no other medications. She is nearing 13 years old, around 25 lbs, is fully house broken and manages to get those stubby little legs through the dog door. She would love nothing more than to be your best friend. She loves milling around the neighborhood investigating scent trails. Sunny Sides walks very leisurely on a leash, but she is vocal when she sees other dogs. She is a hound after all! She is passionate about being by her human’s side for a good long snuggle. Sunny Sides gets along with other dogs in her foster home and is up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm prevention medication. We pray hard that she won't be in foster care for very much longer. She's been with us for at least 6 months. Please give this senior the love and security she deserves for the rest of her life. Her adoption fee is $250 and includes the vet exam, vaccinations, rabies and tick prevention, microchip, heartworm test and preventatives.
