Story
Hi! I’m Gucci, a 3-year-old Dalmatian new to Colorado! 🖤 I love treats, give the best hugs, and I'm really good on car rides. I'm gentle, friendly, and love all people, including kids! I’m also quite good on a leash, which makes for easy walks together. I’m looking for a family that understands my breed and will give me all the love and cuddles I deserve. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who loves giving hugs and is pretty cool to look at, I’m your girl! Come see me in Windsor! 🐾💕

Story
Hello Everybody! My name is Mika (mee-kuh). I’m a Dalmatian mix, and a little bit bigger girl (because I am tall), but I only weigh about 55-57 pounds. I could stand to lose another couple of pounds, but the food is good here and we have yummy treats! I’m not telling, but I am probably mixed with either a larger hound or something like a Great Pyrenees because I have dewclaws on my back feet and a tiny bit of an undercoat. I am getting along well with my foster sisters and with a boy dog that was fostering with me for a while. I am kind of bold, and a bit rowdy, when meeting new dogs, so slow introductions will be required. Once I learn to trust you, I will play with you all day. I do like to set the rules among the four-leggeds, so I have some opinions about sharing the water bowl, guarding my space, and occasionally wanting to keep my bone or my person to myself. I won’t get too upset though if you just understand my rules. My foster Mom is working on this with me. I do great hanging around the food bin while Mom gets our dinner, and I am very considerate when the treats are being doled out, but my new parents need to continue working on this resource guarding thing with me. I have not been around cats or kids, but I do very well leaving the resident house bunnies alone (well, except to eat the bunny berries. Those guys are like regular treat dispensers, it’s kinda cool!). I love to be with my person, and I follow her everywhere. Sometimes I climb in her lap or jump on her, but I am working on that. I am also a very good girl and can stay in my own room even when Mom leaves the house, but I do well lounging in my crate when I have to. I have very good potty habits although I did do a little submissive peeing when I first got here because I was scared about being in a new place. I haven’t done that in a long time though. I would love a home where I am either an only dog or have one or two more submissive buddies. I do love to play, so a play buddy would be nice. I don’t think I would like the dog park. Please contact my foster mom Tara @ spotteddogs91@hotmail.com or our friend Ms. Tena at tjp@mygrande.net and ask more about me. I am so looking forward to my new forever home! Mika is located in Live Oak (San Antonio), TX. Adopter must pick up. She is spayed, HW Neg, and current on vaccinations. Adoption fee $350.00 Applications may be submitted at www.dalmatianrescueco.org   If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy.  We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed. March 9, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Meet Savi! Located in DALLAS, TX, Savi is a sweet, happy boy who loves toys, bones, and snuggling with his people. He is crate-trained and house-trained with a doggie door and has great house manners. Savi adores people, including children, and gets along well with female dogs and neutered male dogs his size. He knows how to sit and is eager to please. He gets excited on walks and may pull at first, especially if he spots a squirrel, rabbit, or a passing dog he'd love to meet. With continued practice, he's sure to keep improving. We would love to see Savi in a home with a securely fenced yard and a family that has the time and commitment to continue his training and help him reach his full potential. Meet-and-greets with resident dogs are preferred to ensure a good match. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion with a big heart, Savi is ready to be your new best friend! Estimated to be around 18 months old, and 40lbs, Savi is neutered and current on vaccinations. For more information, contact us at  info@dalmatianrescueco.org  or Tena at  tena@dalmatianrescueco.org  Applications may be submitted at www.dalmatianrescueco.org Adoption fee: $400.   If interested in this dog, please go to  www.dalmatianrescueco.org  and submit an application for adoption. Story
Lance is a beautiful male Dalmatian who has been somewhat overlooked in the last couple of years. Dumped near Dallas, TX, he was un-mannered and very strong. As with most strays, he was nervous and a little difficult to manage when first meeting new dogs. Since he was neutered and moved into a loving foster home, Lance has learned to get along with lots of other dogs. His foster/trainer has worked very hard to teach Lance some manners and will be available to work with Lance's new family to insure an easy transition. Cats are unknown. Older children are recommended because of Lance's size and strength. He would be a great running companion. Lance is located in Colorado Springs, and his recommended adoption donation is $350.   Contact jeannine@dalmatianrescueco.org.   If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy.  We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed. March 9, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
AN ATHLETE'S ATHLETE! Murphy is a gorgeous, green-eyed liver boy who loves an extreme lifestyle. He loves to run; he's begun to learn agility; and he would excel in all kinds of canine sports! Murphy had a horrible early start in life with a very abusive family who were observed hitting him often. He lived with 2-3 small kids, 2 small dogs (he has also lived with a female rottie) and his "parents" in a rented farmhouse in Illinois. One day, the family drove away and abandoned him in the house with no food or water. Two days later, the homeowner heard him howling for help. Poor Murphy was so afraid that he constantly shook and trembled and was terrified to be touched. Since then, Murphy has been with an extraordinary behaviorist and trainer near Orlando. He's gained enormous confidence and learned to love and trust. He is protective of his person while allowing them space, which he also wants. Like all dogs, he needs a job. Murphy is very focused on his handler and has tremendous drive and work ethic. He will need a special adopter who is willing to take the time to provide exercise, companionship, and learning to help him excel. Murphy has started obedience and agility training. Could you be the right person for this special boy? Please contact sandy@dalmatianrescueco.org.  If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy.  We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed. March 9, 2026, 12:21 am

Chance is the happiest dog. He is a real lover but has problems holding his licker. LOL. He is high energy and loves to run, play fetch, play with most other dogs, and catch treats in the air. Chance is house trained, crate trained, contained by a 4’ fence, and is very smart. He’s met cats but is too rambunctious for them. He loves to cuddle with his people and veg. Chance came to Colorado from Louisiana where his allergies were severe and caused him to often scratch himself raw and be VERY uncomfortable. Currently, his worst allergic reaction seems to be getting a pink hue to certain areas of his skin and sometimes licking. New adopters need to be aware that Chance is on weekly desensitization shots for his allergies and twice weekly ear meds. These medications will need to be continued for the time being and possibly for the rest of his life. He is under the care of a dermatologist from CSU but could probably be transferred to a dermatologist elsewhere if CSU is too far to travel. He has no food allergies, according to his dermatologist, but is allergic to numerous environmental elements. He was originally on Apoquel but that has been discontinued due to a huge reduction in the symptoms of his allergic reaction. If you are looking for an active and fun dog, consider Chance and come meet him. If you would like more information regarding Chance, please contact jeannine@dalmatianrescueco.org. Suggested adoption donation is $350.   If interested in this dog, please go to  www.dalmatianrescueco.org  and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy.  We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed. March 9, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Goober is the kind of dog who makes everyday life more fun—without making it harder. He’s playful and engaging when you want it, but settles down easily, bringing a balanced, easygoing presence into your home. His past isn’t pretty—but you’d never know it. Goober fits in. He joined a large, established pack without any issues and naturally gets along with others. He enjoys being part of what you’re doing, adds a little personality and fun to your day, and then relaxes right alongside you. He’s not overwhelming, not high-maintenance—just a dog who makes life better in small, consistent ways. Good fit: someone who wants a dog that adds enjoyment and companionship without chaos or constant demands. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Story
Dane was running out of time through no fault of his own. He found himself in a small rural shelter where space had run out, putting him on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn't room. Thankfully, Dane got a second chance. At around a year old, this stunning blue merle Great Dane mix is as easygoing as they come. He enjoys going for walks, hanging out with his dog friends, and taking plenty of naps in between. Dane gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with cats, making him an easy fit for many homes. He is a calm, laid-back guy who is simply happy to be included. Good fit: someone looking for a relaxed companion who enjoys walks, naps, and spending time with both people and other animals. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Story
Twila has the gorgeous coloring of a Catahoula packed into the compact, sturdy body of a Heeler. At around 2 years old and just 32 lbs, she's a great size for someone who wants a smaller adventure buddy without the nonstop energy that often comes with one. Twila is very sweet, calm, and naturally low energy. She isn't a barker and is perfectly happy relaxing and hanging out, but that doesn't mean she can't keep up when you want to get out and do something. She can happily participate in higher-energy activities and then settle right back down afterward. She is great with dogs of all sizes and with cats, making her an easy fit for many different households. Twila gives you the best of both worlds: a dog who can join you for adventures without demanding that every day be an adventure. Good fit: someone looking for a sweet, quiet, medium-sized companion with an off switch who can enjoy an active lifestyle without needing one to be happy. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), I always take my dogs back.
