Story
Meet Selene! She had a really rough start, somehow finding herself in the Laredo, TX shelter. But, thanks to a friend, she made her way out of there and is now with her DRC foster. This beautiful girl is a smiler! She has the cutest little underbite and loves to play. Selene loves to chew on her bones, knows sit, and is pretty good at walking on a leash. She does well with males and is selective with females. Selene is not fond of cats or small dogs. She is about 58 lbs, crate-trained, house-trained, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and spayed. Selene is located in Waco, TX. Applications may be submitted at www.dalmatianrescueco.org. For more information, please contact Tena at tjp@mygrande.net Adoption fee $400.  If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy.  We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed. February 19, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
WHOA! Spike is not a "spot"! But Spike was a part of a twosome (his cohort was a Dalmatian, Snoopy) that was confiscated for neglect by the Sheriff in a small town in Central Texas. Having no place to hold these dogs, the Sheriff contacted Dal Rescue to see if we would help them out, and, of course, we did! Spike was filthy and flea-covered, having lived in a small 4 X 6 kennel for who knows how long. Dal Rescue has a rule that we don't leave any dog behind. Because the other half of this duo was a Dal, we couldn't leave Spike behind to fend for himself. So, we have this lovely mixed breed doggo who is the best dog! He is friendly, gets along with everyone, and even has some manners! He loves to be petted and will wriggle his whole body when someone strokes him. He's a medium-sized boy who would make a good family dog. Can be a little bossy around other dogs, but corrects easily and moves on. Spike's suggested adoption donation is $350. Contact jeannine@dalmatianrescueco.org.  If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy.  We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed. February 19, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Jesse is a 1 1/2-year-old Dalmatian mix boy who is full of joy. This smart, sweet boy likes to play with toys and run and fetch the ball. He is friendly with other dogs, and children (cats unknown). He is very loyal.  Jesse will follow you around the house and loves to be touched. He is active when you want him to play in the yard....but goes into his kennel when you ask and sleeps.  He knows commands of sit, come, lay down, he is good on a lead, and loves to go for rides in the car.  Jesse has a wonderful personality, he is full of love, and is looking for that special home to share that love with.  Jesse is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.  Jesse is heartworm-positive and has started his slow-kill treatment. The cost of treatment is covered by DRC.  For more information, please contact Tena Price at tjp@mygrande.net  Located in San Antonio, TX.  Adoption fee $400.   If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Story
Meet Cassie! Cassie is a 2-year-old female Dalmatian. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Cassie is the typical Dalmatian and loves to be with her people, preferably being petted. When not being doted on, Cassie’s been working on her obedience skills and has already mastered “sit", “come,” and “wait.” Cassie is also crate-trained, and is a gem during baths and nail trims! She is still working on her house training and learning to ask to go out. When it comes to play, Cassie has boundless energy, and she is FAST! Her favorite game is fetch —although sometimes she brings it back to you, and sometimes she fetches for herself, prancing around and shaking the toy with glee! Cassie would love to be your running partner and we think she’d be great at FastCAT. Cassie gets along well with large and medium dogs, both male and female. But she’s not a fan of small animals so we recommend a home with no small pets (chickens, bunnies, pocket pets), including small dogs. Definitely no cats. Because of her boundless energy, we recommend a home with children over 10. Cassie is located in Albuquerque, NM. If you’d like to learn more about Cassie, contact Denise at wingsong56@aol.com or Tena at tjp@mygrande.net. You can also find an adoption application at www.dalmatianrescueco.org. Adoption fee $400.  If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Story
Dash is a 2-year-old, male Dalmatian. He is neutered, heartworm-negative, and current on vaccinations. Dash is house-trained, crate-trained (though he’d prefer to be with you), and also knows how to use a doggie door! He also knows “lay down” and walks well on a leash, so he’s ready for walks and hikes (running buddy, anyone?)! Dash is high-energy and will thrive in a home that offers lots of opportunities for play and exercise. He loves his toys and playing fetch, so he’s in search of a home with a backyard and someone who has time to play with him! Because Dash is young and so energetic, having structure, routine, and a low-key lifestyle will also help him be his best! An experienced owner is a plus for him. Dash will be great with kids over 12 and he would really enjoy having a female dog as a play buddy and companion. However, he's not a fan of cats or small dogs. If you're looking for a sweet Dal with boundless energy who is loyal and loves to cuddle, Dash might be the perfect fit for you. Dash is located in Allen, TX. To find out more about Dash, please contact Kacy at hopesrescueangels@gmail.com or Tena at tjp@mygrande.net. Applications may be submitted at www.dalmatianrescueco.org Adoption fee $400.  If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. THIS BOY NEEDS HIS OWN HOME! BAILEY HAS BEEN IN A DRC FOSTER HOME SINCE 2019. Sweet, lovable Bailey is an active 7-8 year old neutered mixed breed dog, ready to give you lots of love and devotion. He likes to go for walks and gentle runs and would love to go on hikes. Bailey doesn't take long to warm up to new people. But Bailey is also a cuddler, and a kisser. He is a true velcro dog, always wanting to be by your side. Bailey is not fond of cats. He is a caretaker and watches over his family and house from a deck or patio during the day and captures your bed at night. Bailey would like a home with another laid-back companion for company and and play-time, and a good fence for security. For more information, contact friends@dalmatianrescueco.org. Bailey is currently in Falcon (Colorado Springs). Suggested adoption donation: $250. Please submit an application for adoption for Bailey at www.dalmatianrescueco.org.  If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption.
