Phoenix! This lovely, squishy medium sized (maybe 55 lbs) girl is around 2-3 years old. She was originally adopted from us as a puppy but returned for not getting along with the other pets in the home. Phoenix should be an only pet in her new home, but is a lovely girl willing to give you all her love. She would benefit from a diet and losing a little weight. She is a great girl who is fully housebroken (but may have a few small accidents as she gets acclimated) and crate trained. She would be fine with older, school aged children. Eowyn is a 6-year-old Doberman Pinscher with a big personality, playful energy, and a whole lot of love to give. After everything she’s been through, she is ready to find a home where she can truly settle in and thrive. Eowyn is a happy, bouncy girl who loves to move. She enjoys running, playing, and chasing toys, and she brings a fun, energetic presence wherever she goes. She is strong and enthusiastic, especially on leash, and will benefit from continued guidance and structure to help her channel that energy. She is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being around her people. Eowyn is the type of dog who will happily seek out attention, lean into you for pets, and be right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. She has lived in a home with a cat and other dogs, however since coming into foster she has not played with or welcomed any dog she has met. She would likely do best in a single dog home. Eowyn would do best with an owner who understands the Doberman personality and can provide structure, consistency, and continued training. Because she is strong, jumpy, and doesn’t always realize her size, a home without very small children would be best. She has been through a lot of change recently and is adjusting to a new environment, but her sweet, fun-loving personality continues to shine through. Meet Carmine! If you're looking for a classic young Doberman, Carmine is your guy! At just 1 year old, this handsome black and rust boy is everything we love about the breed. He's smart, affectionate, goofy, and full of life. He loves his people, enjoys walks, toys, training, and playtime, and is happiest when he's included in whatever you're doing. Everyone who has met Carmine agrees. He's a really good dog. Like many adolescent Dobermans, he's energetic, enthusiastic, and still learning his manners. He's food motivated, eager to please, and responds well to calm, consistent leadership. He would thrive with someone who understands the breed and enjoys helping a young dog reach his full potential. Carmine is housebroken, crate trained, and would do best in a home without cats. He may do well with another appropriately matched playful dog following proper introductions. Carmine has been diagnosed with mild to moderate hip dysplasia, so his future foster or adopter should be committed to following veterinary recommendations to help keep him active, strong, and comfortable. COURTESY POST: PEARL Meet Pearl, an approximately 5-year-old, 65 lb. black and tan Doberman in Johnstown, PA, looking for a new home. Pearl didn’t have the easiest start. Before coming to her current family, she reportedly spent much of her time living in a barn. She arrived thin and dirty, didn’t know her name, and really didn’t seem to know much about being a dog. Eight months later, Pearl has discovered the good life and has turned into the Velcro Doberman we all know and love. Pearl is sweet, affectionate, eager to please, and very food motivated. She loves attention, walks nicely on a harness and leash, rides well in the car, and is crate trained. She’s also completely obsessed with tennis balls. She’ll happily chase one. Bringing it back is apparently a separate skill she hasn’t found necessary to learn yet. She currently lives with a male Golden Retriever, and the two love to wrestle and play. Another easygoing male dog may be a good match with slow introductions. Pearl does have a high prey drive and cannot live with cats or small dogs. Despite her family’s efforts to safely manage everyone, Pearl actively looks for their cats. Her family loves her and is hoping to find a home where she can have the freedom to simply be part of the family. Pearl has been friendly with people, and her family reports no human aggression while in their care. She has lived with a 14-year-old but has not been around younger children. Jack is a rescue; we got him from a rescue in SC in Aug. 2025, when he was about eight months old (estimate from the vet). As far as we know, he was a stray up to that point. A woman found him; he was not chipped, and he had no tags or collar. They put signs up all over the area, but no one came to claim him. We had lost another dog a few months earlier and were ready to find a companion for our other dog, who was clearly lonely. We brought Jack home to PA, got all of his shots, sent him to training "boot camp," and thought all would be well. Unfortunately, it's not working out between our two dogs, and we need to separate them for their own safety. Jack is the sweetest, gentlest pup, and we love him dearly, but we cannot keep him and his older "brother" (who we also love dearly) together. He's a high-energy dog who loves to go on walks and would be a great running companion. He's a beautiful dog who loves nothing more than to play, run, and be safe and loved. He deserves that.
