Story
Bandit is a 5-year-old Doberman who embodies everything people love about the breed: intelligent, loyal, affectionate, and deeply devoted to his people. Once Bandit trusts you, his loving personality truly shines! This handsome boy enjoys spending time outdoors, playing in the yard, and being near the people he loves most. He already knows several commands including sit, come, paw, and lay down, and he’s eager to bond with someone willing to give him the patience and consistency he deserves. Bandit is reported to do well with cats and children. While he can be selective with other dogs, he has made a few canine friends while in rescue, showing that with proper introductions and the right match, he can coexist successfully with other dogs. Bandit may take a little extra time warming up to some men, but once he feels safe and secure, he becomes an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a smart, devoted Doberman to be your shadow and best friend, Bandit may be the perfect fit for your family. Please note: This is a courtesy post. Bandit is not with Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA, Inc.. Story
Eowyn is a 6-year-old Doberman Pinscher with a big personality, playful energy, and a whole lot of love to give. After everything she’s been through, she is ready to find a home where she can truly settle in and thrive. Eowyn is a happy, bouncy girl who loves to move. She enjoys running, playing, and chasing toys, and she brings a fun, energetic presence wherever she goes. She is strong and enthusiastic, especially on leash, and will benefit from continued guidance and structure to help her channel that energy. She is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being around her people. Eowyn is the type of dog who will happily seek out attention, lean into you for pets, and be right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. She has lived in a home with a cat and other dogs, however since coming into foster she has not played with or welcomed any dog she has met. She would likely do best in a single dog home. Eowyn would do best with an owner who understands the Doberman personality and can provide structure, consistency, and continued training. Because she is strong, jumpy, and doesn’t always realize her size, a home without very small children would be best. She has been through a lot of change recently and is adjusting to a new environment, but her sweet, fun-loving personality continues to shine through. With the right home, Eowyn is going to be an incredibly loyal, entertaining, and loving companion. Story
Meet Thor, the one-year-old black-and-tan Doberman who’s looking for his forever home! Thor is a compact powerhouse—about 60lb with natural ears and a docked tail that wags like he means business. He lives for two things: tearing around the yard on a good run and curling up in a cozy lap for some serious snuggle time. When new faces show up, Thor can be a bit shy and needs time to warm up to new people. Patience (and a few treats) go a long way with this sweet guy. Because he’s still young, Thor needs ongoing obedience training and some socialization adventures to boost his confidence. If you enjoy teaching tricks, taking him on new walks, and helping a shy pup become the bold companion he can be, Thor will love every minute of it. What you’ll get: A playful outdoor buddy who loves playing and sprinting around the yard. A snuggle-expert who’s happiest when perched beside you on the couch. A loyal Doberman who’ll grow into a confident, well-behaved adult with your guidance. If you’re ready to give Thor the patient training and love he deserves—and gain a devoted friend in return—reach out today! He can’t wait to meet his new person. Apply today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog to be considered for Thor’s adoptive placement. PA Kennel License # 14649

Story
Meet Carmine! If you're looking for a classic young Doberman, Carmine is your guy! At just 1 year old, this handsome black and rust boy is everything we love about the breed. He's smart, affectionate, goofy, and full of life. He loves his people, enjoys walks, toys, training, and playtime, and is happiest when he's included in whatever you're doing. Everyone who has met Carmine agrees. He's a really good dog. Like many adolescent Dobermans, he's energetic, enthusiastic, and still learning his manners. He's food motivated, eager to please, and responds well to calm, consistent leadership. He would thrive with someone who understands the breed and enjoys helping a young dog reach his full potential. Carmine is housebroken, crate trained, and would do best in a home without cats. He may do well with another appropriately matched playful dog following proper introductions. Carmine has been diagnosed with mild to moderate hip dysplasia, so his future foster or adopter should be committed to following veterinary recommendations to help keep him active, strong, and comfortable. Surgery is not currently planned, but it may become a consideration in the future if needed. Carmine is located in Schuylkill County, PA. Interested in fostering or adopting Carmine? Story
Meet the stars of our Rockstar Litter: Stevie, Roxette, Janis, Carly, Jagger, and Bowie! These adorable puppies are 9 weeks old and already stealing hearts wherever they go. Several of their siblings have already found homes, and now these six are ready to take center stage and find families of their own. These pups came to rescue from a Lancaster breeder after an accidental litter between his red Doberman and the neighbor's Australian Shepherd. While their arrival may have been unplanned, we're certain they have amazing futures ahead of them. Cute as a button, friendly, and incredibly smart, the Rockstar puppies are everything you could want in a young dog. They love people, enjoy playing with one another, and are already showing the intelligence and eagerness to learn that both Dobermans and Aussies are known for. As they grow, these puppies will likely become loyal, athletic, and highly intelligent companions. The combination of Doberman devotion and Australian Shepherd smarts creates dogs that thrive when given structure, training, exercise, and opportunities to use their brains. They aren't just looking for homes, they're looking for families who understand the commitment of raising an active, intelligent dog and who are excited to help them become the incredible companions they're meant to be. If you're ready for a best friend who will keep you laughing, challenge you to stay active, and reward you with unwavering loyalty, one of our Rockstar pups may be your perfect match. Stevie, Roxette, Janis, Carly, Jagger, and Bowie are ready to write the next chapter of their story with families who will love them for a lifetime. He will come neutered, with age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped.
