Look no further than Dutch, a 4-year-old neutered male Doberman with floppy ears, a docked tail, and a heart as big as his paws. Dutch is a sweet, energetic boy who lives for fetch, trail adventures, and playing chase with his besties (currently a Frenchie and a German Shepherd). He’s dog-friendly overall, but has strong opinions about fluffy dogs sometimes and can be reactive on leash, so continued training and management are important. He does not do well with cats or small critters—Dutch has a serious case of “squirrel brain” and a strong prey drive. He’s good with kids, but doesn’t know his size and thinks all stuffed animals/lovies belong to him, so he’s better suited for homes without small children or at least under close supervision around them. That being said, he has never had any aggression issues with children or any people in general. Dutch is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a prong collar, with growing skills on a harness. He’s been through multiple training programs and learns quickly—especially when rotisserie chicken is involved. He needs a fenced yard to zoom around in and would love an active home that can give him plenty of stimulation and structure. This sensitive guy has anxiety, which is well managed on Prozac, and he never goes anywhere without his emotional support rubber chicken, Antonio. He’s a routine lover: breakfast and dinner at 6 sharp. He’ll politely politely—but persistently—remind you if you’re late. He sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom and rises with the sun, ready to start the day. Dutch loves car rides, though he might bark at bikes or loud noises—he’s just passionate about public safety. He’s also got a serious butter addiction (yes, butter), so keep that and other treats on the counter clear unless you want a four-legged kitchen bandit on your hands. At his core, Dutch is a loyal, loving Velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether you’re hiking a trail, binge-watching a show, or just hanging out on the couch. Dutch is looking for his forever home through no fault of his own. He’s a simple boy, just looking for someone to love, follow, and (gently) demand ear scratches from. If you’re ready to open your heart (and your snack drawer) to this big-hearted goofball, Dutch is ready to be your ride-or-die.

Story
Meet Ruby, a beautiful red, cropped and docked, 5-year-old Doberman with the gentlest soul. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, housetrained, and incredibly sweet. Ruby does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her a lovely fit for many types of homes. She is low energy overall but still enjoys bursts of excitement and playful joy that will melt your heart. Ruby has a sensitive digestive system and needs a carefully managed diet along with daily medication to keep her comfortable. She will also happily snack on anything she can find in the yard, such as animal droppings, or other debris, which can upset her stomach. For this reason, she will need supervised outdoor time and an adopter willing to manage her diet and surroundings consistently. With gentle guidance and patience, Ruby does beautifully with her trained obedience commands, walks nicely on leash, and rides great in the car. Her foster mom will happily review all of her known commands and hand signals with a potential adopter. Food is definitely her happy place, but what Ruby truly wants is consistency, kindness, and love. She would do well in a calm home with a dog companion, where her routine and medical needs can be maintained. Ruby is considered a medical adoption, and Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA, Inc. will continue to support her medically with her current treatment plan. We are looking for a compassionate adopter who understands her digestive needs and is committed to helping her stay healthy, comfortable, and thriving with proper care and routine. If you have a soft heart and room in your home for a very special girl, Ruby would be so grateful for the chance to spend her days feeling safe and loved. Story
Meet Bricks, a stunning 5-year-old black and tan Doberman with cropped ears, a docked tail, and a heart as big as his name. Bricks came to DPRPA from Louisiana after being dropped off at a shelter with his buddy Diesel. Thanks to the wonderful folks at Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue, he made his way north to safety and care. No one knows why he was surrendered, but one thing is certain — this boy is a loving, loyal companion. Bricks is gentle and loving with his people, but does need slow introductions to strangers and may be end up being people selective. He gets along well with his current foster sister, and a meet and greet will be required for any potential adopters who have another dog in the home. He has been tested with cats and small animals and needs a home without either. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he would do best in a home with older children. He is neutered, microchipped, fully up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to join his forever family. He is currently being fostered in PA. Think Bricks might be the perfect fit for your home? Apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog PA Kennel License #14649
