Story
Deepali needed a miracle, a mama dog on a border town in south Texas - she was skinny with skin infections, heartworms and a bouncy twitch to her walk. Once in Houston, she learned her foster home routine quickly and enjoys snuggling into a donut dog bed in her crate along with a big bucket for nibbling on kibble when she wants. Deepali resource guards food and has a fierce growl over food but is only 42 lbs and panics if dogs challenger her. { She's all bark, no Fight } Based on history of the region, X-Rays and observed coordination - Our team and Vet partners suspect; she is a survivor of distemper. A virus that leaves dogs with permanent nervous system damage if they survive. We did X-Rays to rule out wobblers and traumatic injury. Deepali has full use of her head, neck, front limbs - her back feet 'dance' even when she is standing still. She is unbothered by her twitches and RUNS when she needs to be first in line for a treat or to go see her dog friends. Deepali loves human attention and petting. She could easily be an only dog in a small space - going on leashed walks for exercise. Guessed to be between 4-6 years old. Mature but not showing signs of aging. Current weight 42 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and on prevention (treated and now negative for heartworms). Housetrained, crate trained and part of a suburban foster home with other dogs. Deepali does NOT have any special needs* Intake Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/iajmW_gNjrs?si=5-dp93lDnMEzye3h FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($400.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Story
Joey Dion is a no-nonsense kind of dude, if he wore jeans - they would be heavily starched. Just shy of 2 years-old an all natural red Doberman with a cautious side, he enjoys being part of a pack and playing hard. He pancakes in new situations outside of his foster home, Joey stays quiet -no growling, no barking- and stares at new things and people. When he warms up, he is bossy and vocal, barking for attention. Joey can be too rough with smaller dogs and too assertive for male dogs. He loves being outside, sniffing and running. Crate trained. Seeking a family to continue to socialize this Texas boy. Now neutered, Up to Date on Vaccines, Microchipped, Testing Negative for Heartworms and on Preventions. His current weight is 65 lbs, he is all and lean. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. The dogs were isolated and timid of human contact. The boys had bites and cuts on their legs and heads. CCR provided medical care for all of the dogs and months in foster homes has offered necessary socializing. {Joey Dion and Jimmy Durian appear to be litter mates and will not be adopted to the same home} Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Story
Diego's favorite cartoon is Speedy Gonzales. We suspect Diego is bilingual and understands [ Come on, Come on, Hurry Up, Let's Go! ] "¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!" Diego is crate trained which is his [OFF] button. He enjoys car rides and meeting new people. He is generally quiet and observant. He needs opportunities to run at FULL speed, in circles or zig zags before being still again. He can spend hours running the yard squirrel watching. He has a good balance of needing physical and mental stimulation. Diego has been fostered with dogs of all sizes and personalities, he is a playful dog and avoids all conflicts. He can RUN and likes to get the other dogs to run at high speed with him. He would benefit from a yard and someone familiar with the higher energy of the Doberman breed. He can be obsessed about smaller critters - NO CATS. Guessed to be 2-3 years old. He is 62 lbs and lean, docked tail, cropped ears but they do not stand. His ears have scars along the cropped edges, suggesting frequent infections during attempts for the ears to heal (stitches) or during the ear wraps. The ears do not stand up, will not stand up, another clue of the lack of commitment of his prior owner. His ears do not cause him discomfort or require care now. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. No collar, No microchip - a finder kept him for weeks trying to find her Owner before seeking a Rescue. He was now neutered, vaccinated and required Heartworm treatment before getting ready for Adoption. Volunteers Fueled by Caffeine and Compassion to help Care for Dogs in Today's Pet Crisis in Texas. Story
She prefers action movies to romantic comedies. Jumping into a pond or climbing a mountain is more entertaining than shopping. Our city girl was found as a stray near the airport. Fostered in the country and enjoying the freedoms of rural living. She’s been exposed to horses, chickens. She appears to be a Doberman mix with a docked tail and course coat. About 5 years old and 50 lbs. Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, on prevention. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. She did not have a microchip and after weeks of social media postings, we do not suspect anyone is looking for her - a Doberman loving family got her to rescue. She tested positive for hookworms and heartworms; treated now testing negative. Her body has clearly had puppies before and she has scars on her head, front teeth worn down (common finding for dogs chewing chains or rocks) Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/9YmOfCchEWc?feature=shared

Story
This adorable, spunky, silly girl is heartbroken because she has absolutely zero interest from anyone wanting to adopt her. She has now set the record for the longest dog in our foster program. Pachi has been with us for a year and a half and prior to our rescue she had been in a shelter for several months. Pachi is the cutest little dog with the coolest ears. She is much smaller than she appears in her photos. (Under 30lbs). Pachi is a true gem, and we can't explain how lucky her person will be once they find each other. She's shown incredible growth but needs a home with structure and routine to continue to grow. Pachi finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, like chasing a toy or curling up on the couch and loves to share blueberries and bananas for breakfast with her foster mom. Pachi is most comfortable with women but is open to anyone with a soft side. She would do best with an adult-only home, or with older children. Pachi likes to be the center of attention, so no other pets. She is not a fan of felines. Pachi prefers a home with a fenced in yard to run around in. We know that her person/people are out there, but we need your help to find this deserving girl her much deserved forever home. Please share. We would like Pachi to stay within Central PA or if the perfect home is found we would consider someone further away. “Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them and filling the emptiness we didn’t ever know we had.” - Thom Jones
