Story
Meet Arlo—a 75-pound, red, cropped-and-docked Doberman who looks like he walked straight off a canine modeling runway… and then immediately tripped because someone said “hello.” At approximately 3–4 years old, Arlo is tall, lean, handsome, and built like an athlete—but spiritually, he is a soft, nervous lad. Despite his intimidating good looks, Arlo would very much like to inform you that he is not security personnel. If an intruder broke in, he’d politely volunteer to be the last one to meet them, preferably peeking from behind you (which is unfortunate, because he has discovered that most humans are simply not large enough to hide behind). Arlo missed out on a lot of fun social experiences earlier in life, so the world can be… well, a bit much. Dog bar downtown? Absolutely not—he will write a respectfully worded letter declining the invite. Crowded events? Hard pass. He’d like to stay home with his people, thank you very much, wrapped in the emotional equivalent of a weighted blanket. Since arriving at Zoe’s House, Arlo has been studying abroad in the foreign land of “Confidence in Public.” His foster monster (mother) has been guiding him through social introductions, and he is currently enrolled in a group training class where he is learning confidence, coping skills, and how not to panic when someone sneezes. Before adoption, he’ll complete that class—and his future humans must continue training OUTSIDE the home so he can keep improving his social swagger. Arlo would prefer not to be crated, but for safety, he currently resides in what can only be described as a Doberman-grade Fort Knox. He thinks it is rude, unnecessary, and personally offensive—but he tolerates it because he’s a perfect gentleman. Just like that awkward kid in school who wants friends but doesn’t know how to say “hi” without accidentally yelling it, Arlo needs guidance. With structured, proper introductions, he does very well and becomes a wonderful canine companion. Because he thrives with role models, he must go home with at least one confident dog. He currently lives with two male dogs—a large breed mix and a medium bulldog mix—and does great with both. Cats and small animals? Absolutely not. Arlo’s prey drive says “yes,” so the answer is a firm “no.” People, however? Arlo LOVES people. He will wedge his long snoot into your arms, lap, or general personal space and use his paws to petition for unlimited affection. He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, recently had a skin tag removed (he says it was unsightly and needed to go), and is being fostered in Harrisburg, PA. If you've made it this far, Arlo might be your guy. His foster mom says he's perfect, and we think she may be right.💛 www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Ziva is one of a kind pure bread Doberman, 2 years old. I had her since a puppy. She grew up with my 18 month old son. She does well with kids and babies We do not have other pets so unsure how she will be with other pets in household. She is crate trained. She is a working dog, although for us she was just a house pet and companion. But she can have drive and disciple with consistency and repetition. She is an amazing dog and I want her to have best home! I invested a lot of money in her and hope someone who is interested would value and care for her well!

Story
ABOUT MOLLY This 2-year-old, stocky, long-legged beauty is a real charmer! Molly came to HAP when her owners were no longer able to care for a pet. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a few treats and some sweet puppy talk, she warms up quickly. Miss Molly is incredibly smart, she already knows commands like “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and she walks beautifully on a leash. And did we mention she loves treats? This big girl can’t resist a snack, those adorable curves don’t lie! As a young dog, she has plenty of energy and loves playing with her toys. When she gets really excited, she’ll break into the zoomies, it’s hilarious to see such a big girl move so fast! While she hasn’t made close doggy friends just yet, she enjoys walking near other dogs and may do well with a canine companion. Molly has also thrived participating in our Doggy Day Out program! Here's what a few volunteers had to say about her: "Molly and I had a great walk at Glasgow park! She behaved well and wanted to smell EVERYTHING! Definitely has some hound dog in her because she could not keep her nose off the ground haha She’s such a pretty sweet girl and I hope she gets adopted soon!!" - Catalina "Had the best DDO with sweet Molly girl! We started our morning with a stroll through riverfront, where Molly got to get a lot good sniffs in! She is very well behaved and knows how to sit, paw, and lay down for treats. Which, your way to Mollys heart will definitely be through some good treats! Then we stopped by Riverfront Pets, she was so good with other people and dogs. We ended our morning running and walking through Rockford Park. Overall had such a blast and Molly was such a great companion for the day. Listens well and very smart!" - Jammile "We had the best time with Molly yesterday!! We were hesitant at first because of how tall she was but… she exceeded every expectation we had! She barked once the entire day, amazing on the leash, and was just an all around sweet dog. She also let us know when she had to use the bathroom after her nap on our couch! Truly such an amazing day with our Molls!" - Rayna "Had the best day with Molly today! She loves the car and sticking her head out the window. We went to the reservoir for a nice walk. She’s such a good walker! After we chilled at my apartment. She loves to relax just as much as she loves to walk. Molly was shy at times but when she was in her element, she loved to play and jump around! Such a cutie!" - Catie "Molly is a big, lovable girl who is very treat-motivated! She has the kind of dopey face that makes you question if there’s anything going on behind those eyes but it’s also possible that she’s very smart. We went out for about an hour-long walk yesterday and she looked like she could keep going, but she quickly became a couch potato once we were indoors. She also loved sticking her head out of the window during car rides!" - Monica "Spent a great time with lovely Molly this morning. What a beautiful, sweet girl! Lots of energy, but listens really well, and will take no time at all to loose leash train! She really enjoyed all the new smells at the park, and was scary good at spotting the squirrels (like the wonderful hound she is!). She would have a fantastic time with a large yard to run and play in, with that young adult energy she has. She responds to sit and paw commands perfectly and is easily redirected when necessary. She will make a family very happy, hopefully ASAP!" - Julie "Had the best day with this sweetheart, Molly. She is just the sweetest and most well mannered girl. She was a little nervous at first, but after being around us for a few minutes her personality came out and she warmed up very fast! She’s amazing in the car and loves to look out the windows, I took her back to my apartment and she immediately hopped up onto the couch and took a little nap. We practiced her commands and she is so good with them and even without treats she will listen and do them . I took her to run around my boyfriends yard for a little bit and she had zoomies for 10 minutes straight and was so happy, she is all around such a great dog I am OBSESSED with her and would love to take her out again soon!" - Molly "I brought Molly out for a walk around the reservoir. For the first half it seemed like, given the choice, she would walk forever and ever, she got tired out near the end though. She's very very into geese, and also tried to eat a caterpillar (I didn't let her, much to her dismay). Knows a lot of commands, but when we were walking, I noticed she doesn't really seem to answer to her name, which was interesting. Such a sweetheart, loves sticking her head out the window in the car!" - Izzy If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
Meet Samantha who now goes by Honey, a 5-year-old black and tan female with natural ears and a docked tail. Honey came to us from a former puppy mill and needs a calm loving home to help her learn that life isn’t so scary. In her previous life she was not exposed to much and as such takes time to settle in and become comfortable with people and experiences. She is slowly coming out of her shell in her foster home and is a big fan of loving pets from her foster mom! She has been around other dogs her size but would need a calm playmate that she could be slowly introduced to so that she can adjust to them at her own pace. Since loud noises and sudden movements are still very frightening for her, we are looking for a home without small children. She is untested with cats and other small animals. Honey is spayed and up to date on her vaccines and preventatives. Do you have a calm home where Honey could learn how to live a great life of a spoiled Doberman? If so please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog to be considered for her placement. PA Kennel License # 14649

Story
🐾 Meet Jack — Our Big, Goofy Doberman Pup! 🖤 Jack is a 1-year-old black and tan Doberman with a heart as big as his paws! Curious, active, and eager to learn, this handsome boy loves to stay busy and be part of the action. He’s incredibly smart and enjoys training sessions, especially when there are toys involved. Fetch is his favorite game, and he picks up on shaping exercises very quickly. When it comes to grooming, Jack is a dream. He’s calm for teeth brushing, nail grinding, baths, ear cleaning, and even eye drops. He’s got wonderful crate manners too, happily napping or sleeping through the night with his favorite stuffed toy tucked under his chin. Jack was found as a stray and is still tentative about the big world around him. He’s very reactive to moving vehicles, so peaceful wooded hikes are his happy place while he continues working on desensitization. He also loves car rides, but he’ll need to be securely harnessed since his enthusiasm for watching passing cars can make him a bit too wiggly on the road! Because of his size (and his clumsy puppy energy!), he’ll need a securely fenced yard to safely run and play, and a home without children. Jack has shown some mild guarding behavior over found items like socks or clothing, but he’s learning “drop it” beautifully and has made great progress with his foster parents’ guidance. Potential adopters should simply be aware that he may need continued consistency as he adjusts to a new home. This lovable boy wants to be close to his people at all times and loves cuddles, kisses, and companionship are his love language. Jack will thrive with an experienced adopter who understands Dobermans, can continue his training, and will give him the structure and affection he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, affectionate companion with endless potential, Jack is your guy. Jack is neutered, microchipped, and all up to date on his vaccines.
