Story
My name is Martini. I am still a puppy and still have a lot of puppy energy. I am dog friendly but play rough sometimes. I have been with cats but I am a bit to hyper and can use some training to learn to be gentle with them. I will chase a toy but you have to chase me to get it back. I am available for fostering and adoption. P.S. I will also be posted on our TikTok @zeusrescues7

Story
Meet Puppy Love!Ok, his name is a lie. He is not a puppy. He is a grumpy old man set in his ways. And honestly, maybe that`s how he has been his entire life. To find the loving side of this senior, you must endeavor on a journey of patience, training, and a deep acceptance that this boy will cuddle you from a distance. Here is what Puppy Love DOES love...Chasing toysHoarding toys (the squeakier the better)Going for walksFoodNapsAnd testing your boundaries while he sets hisIn all honesty, I love this dog. He will grumpily learn when you set limits and the joy that comes from being allowed to pet him is up there with the full bodied excitement of Mardi Gras Day. Because you know how hard you worked to get to both situations.Puppy Love wouldn`t mind another calm dog in the house. His old age doesn`t mean he can`t find time to play now and then. And afterwards, he is happy to find his own toy lair and nap away until the next bout of energy or angst or hunger rouses him.Anyone interested in Puppy Love will be set up with our trainer to assist with a new transition and get this boy on the right path for the right home. We promise you he is worth it.

Story
?? A week with Siggis ??I had the pleasure of fostering the sweetest girl named Siggis through Zeus Rescue here in New Orleans, and she completely melted my heart. She’s like a soft little teddy bear, always happy to see you, tail wagging, ready to greet you with love when you walk through the door. She loves playing fetch (with balls or stuffed animals-she doesn’t discriminate!) and is perfectly content just being near you. She’s housebroken, good on walks once she gets going, and happiest curled up right beside you, especially if she gets to sleep in bed with you.Siggis is such a loyal, affectionate soul and is ready to find her forever person. If you’re looking for a companion who will love you endlessly, check out Zeus Rescue and ask about Siggis. She deserves the best home. ??Meet Siggis — a 4-year-old lab mix with the sweetest soul and a story that comes full circle.Siggis was actually born right here at Zeus’ Rescues after her mom, pregnant and scared, was brought to us from another shelter. She and her littermates were all adopted as puppies, but recently, through no fault of her own, Siggis found herself back in our care.Understandably, she’s been confused and unsure, but with patience and love from our volunteers and staff, she’s beginning to come out of her shell again. She now enjoys short walks but always hurries back to the comfort of her kennel — her safe place for now.Siggis is fully potty trained, loves to chase tennis balls, and simply wants to be near her person. She’s not much for toys, but she’s big on loyalty and quiet companionship. We’re looking for a foster or forever home where she can regain her confidence and rediscover what it means to be loved. Her adoption fee is only $50 right now — please complete the online application if you’d like to give Siggis her second chance at a forever home.

Story
Meet Chee Wee – A One-of-a-Kind Soul Waiting for His Second Chance Born December 2021, 3 Years Old, 45 lbs, Terrier Mix, Heterochromia (1 blue eye, 1 brown)Chee Wee isn’t just another dog looking for a home—he’s a deserving soul who’s been waiting far too long for someone to see the incredible heart he has to offer.Originally adopted as a puppy, Chee Wee spent two years in a home before being returned. Since then, he’s been with us at Zeus Rescues for over 18 months, quietly hoping someone will give him the love and security he’s been missing.A true Sagittarius at heart, Chee Wee is a goofy, cuddly, and curious explorer. He walks beautifully on leash and seems to timidly desire human contact as he calmly approaches people he walks past. When he approaches the other rescue dogs at Zeus in the enclosures out front he does so with curiosity and his tail wagging. When he is pet he gently bows his head, as if asking, “Are you sure I’m worthy?” The answer is a resounding yes.Chee Wee doesn’t need a lot—just a little patience, a calm environment, and someone who will show him that the world isn’t so scary after all. With just a bit of love and socialization, you could make a life-changing difference in his world.•Fully vaccinated•Heartworm negative•No bite history•Best in a home with no children under 16•No cats, pleaseIf you’re ready to give a sweet, sensitive boy the life he’s always deserved, Chee Wee is ready to give you his heart.
