Story
Baby is an adorable "low rider" and a great companion dog. She loves people and is good with kids. She greets you with an immediate roll over to get a belly rub and would stay in that position all day if she could. Such a sweetheart, but she does not like to share that companionship with other dogs or cats, so she must be an only pet. If you don't plan to have more than one, please consider giving Baby her chance at a forever home. . Story
Hi, My name is Rocky! Although I had only lived in a shelter for my 1st 10 mos of life, I am learning that living in a home is awesome! I'm a big ole baby, and my foster family says I don't realize that I'm too big to be a lap dog. That doesn't stop me from trying though. I'm sweet, goofy and playful, and so grateful for affection and attention. I like other dogs and ignore cats, as they don't impress me much. I'd prefer to be involved in everything my humans do and follow them around like a shadow. I also love toys, tennis balls, treats and an occasional cupcake from the counter, although I'm learning that isn't the right way to get food. I'm crated trained and now potty trained. My history, I was pulled from the St Tammany Parish Shelter during their "Fight for 50" campaign during recent Mayday status. I didn't do anything wrong, but because no one had adopted me, I was one of the longest residents and ran out of time. Thankfully I didn't lose my life, but I still don't have a home. Story
Hi, My name is Geode! I am very playful and friendly, and if you give me the chance, I will lick your face nonstop. I like to play with other dogs, love to be outside, go on walks, and play with every toy imaginable! I've now found a love for chasing dragon flies and playing soccer with the kids. I'm learning basic commands and I'm fully kennel trained and now potty trained, even though this is my first time living in a home. I've been living at the shelter since I was found roaming as a stray when I was only 12 weeks old. A year in the shelter could have stolen my carefree spirit, but I chose joy & happiness instead! I'm full of happy puppy energy, but also have a gentle, loving nature that makes everyone that actually meets me, love me. My problem in the shelter is that no one met me to give me a chance. I even got to go to a Cub Scout event recently and had so much fun with all the people and dogs I met. I do need to learn some inside manners, but my foster family is helping me with that. I just love to jump and play, so they say I would probably do best with older children right now. I'm a fun, affectionate young dog who’s ready for adventures, laughter, and a lifetime of love. I was part of the "Operation Save 50" and was rescued from the St. Tammany Parish shelter to save my life. I hadn't done anything wrong, but because no one adopted me, I was one of the longest residents. I'm so very grateful to be chosen to live! Story
Hi, My name is Nugget and I'm a big bundle of pure love. I'm happiest when I'm near my people and have never met a stranger, human or animal. I'm fully house-trained and kennel trained. While I'm not much of a barker, I definitely like to “talk” and let you know how I feels in my own adorable way. I enjoy the simple things in life: Chewing on a good bone, Playing with other dogs, Trotting along behind my doggy friends (I'm more turtle than hare!). I can be a little klutzy or goofy at times, but my foster family says it just adds to my charm and personality. One of my favorite things in the world is to be brushed and pampered — grooming makes me feel good! I absolutely love attention and will happily soak up every bit of it. I do have special needs, but medicine keeps me well. The Dr's say I have epilepsy, and it took some time to find a protocol to control my seizures, but I have been seizure free for the last 5 months as of June 2026! It does require a strict medicine schedule of three time a day, so I'd do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. I'm a great work from home partner! Story
Hi, My name is Niall and I'm part of the One Direction litter. I can't sing or dance, but I can definitely make you happy. I'm a sweet playful little guy. I love to give kisses and snuggle, especially when I'm all tired out. I love playing with my siblings and the other dogs in my foster home. My story... I was living outside with my siblings in Bogalusa, and we were playing in the road. We were only a few weeks old, so it was very dangerous for us, so the rescue came and brought us to safety. We were all very thankful to be in foster homes until we were old enough to be adopted. Story
Hi, My name is Max! I'm a beagle with a world-class nose. If you drop a snack, don't worry... I'll find it. If a squirrel was in your yard three days ago... I'll find that too. I'm kid-friendly, dog-friendly, kennel trained, and I'm almost finished with this whole potty training thing. Hey, nobody's perfect. I love walks, playing outside, sniffing absolutely everything, and investigating important Beagle business. If you like peace, quiet, and walking in a straight line... we may need to compromise. What I really want is a family to love me forever. I promise to keep you laughing, keep your yard thoroughly inspected, and remind you that every day is an adventure.
