🌼 Meet Tilly 🌼 Sweet Tilly has had a tough start to life — and you can see it in her shy, gentle eyes. This beautiful mixed-breed girl is around 3 years old and medium-sized, with the kindest heart just waiting to be understood. 💛 Tilly is good with dogs and cats, and while she’s timid around people at first, she’s slowly learning that not all humans are scary. She still flinches or cowers when you reach toward her — a reminder that someone in her past didn’t show her the kindness she deserves. But every day, she’s learning what it means to be safe, to be loved, and to trust again. In her foster home, she loves to wrestle and run with the other dogs, then curl up nearby to quietly be part of the group. She’s starting to show her silly, playful side — and it’s absolutely beautiful to see her confidence bloom. 🌸 Tilly will need someone patient, kind, and willing to give her time to feel secure. Meet Quill. ❤️ At the very end of a long day spent delivering food to stray dogs, our volunteers drove down one last street in one last town. There, as if fate had been waiting, they found a sweet, painfully thin dog trying to survive. When food was set out, Quill slowly approached. It was immediately clear something was terribly wrong—her face was swollen, infected, and filled with porcupine quills. Before she could even eat, she was chased away by a pack of dogs. In that moment, our volunteers knew they couldn’t leave her behind. As if she knew help had finally arrived, Quill quietly allowed herself to be picked up. By pure luck—or maybe destiny—the very last open spot in the rescue vehicle was waiting just for her. Her road to recovery hasn’t been easy, but Quill has faced every challenge with quiet strength and endless grace. Today, she’s a gentle, mellow girl who loves cuddles, does wonderfully with other dogs and kids, and is slowly learning that the world can be a safe place. She’s still building her confidence and working through some separation anxiety, so she’ll thrive with a patient family willing to help her continue healing. Quill has spent enough of her life wondering where her next meal would come from and whether anyone would ever choose her. Now it’s our turn to make sure her story gets the ending she deserves. I am looking for a long term, committed relationship. My name is Ella Bella. Sounds like a southern name but I don't have a southern drawl. But if you promise to love me, I'll see what I can do❤️ Do you love these things too? 1. Short walks on the beach, lounging time and lots of naps? 2. At least two tasty meals every day with a treat here and there for good measure? 3. Short runs with friends? I have been told I have captivating dark eyes.😍 I am pretty mellow but when I get excited, watch out! I am a whirling dervish! I do require my bathroom time....and you best not get in my way! On a more personal note, I visited some wonderful people at Animal Emergency and Referral Center Specialty Clinic. They ran me through a machine to just see how smart I am. I am SO smart, no one is smarter! They did find that I have had a brain injury. I don't remember it. I might have been born that way but they think it more likely that I had trauma to my Cerebral Cortex. It caused a space between my brain and skull that filled with fluid. They think THAT because my skull is also a different shape. The injury made my right eye not be able to send vision images to my brain so I can't see. My eye is healthy otherwise. I do take medication to help keep me calm as, you can imagine, my world looks a little different. And I do walk a little different. It does not keep me from running like the wind! Or playing with friends! I love other dogs that love other dogs. I do love chasing a cat so, for the cat's sake, my committed relationship should be cat free. I would love someone with a fenced yard, farm, or work from home lifestyle so I can go outside often. I do love eating and sleeping in my crate but enjoy a good couch or large chair for those naps. I love children but they should be big enough that I don't knock them over.😁 Do you have room in your heart for me? You need to love, love, love animals. I insist!!! Luna is potty trained. Working on kennel training. Good with dogs, but plays a little rough, so needs a dog thats ok with it. If she gets to naughty she is easily corrected. LOVES the outdoors. HATES the lawnmower. 🤣 Would do best with older kids. Not much of a barker, especially inside. Will excited bark outside. Loves butt scratches and sleeping on the heating pad.
