Story
Now accepting applications for Gina! Gina is a young adult spayed female hound cross. Gina is the sweetest soul and has every staff member completely wrapped around her paw. Everyone of us has said, "If I had space for another dog, I would take her!" Gina would not do well around livestock. Sometimes that hound nose just gets you into trouble. Gina is a very gentle girl and is quite calm in her kennel here. She will need a secure yard and daily walks. Gina's adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and micro-chipped. If you are interested in meeting Gina, please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her beautiful face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved, we will contact you to come spend some time with Gina to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting Gina you decide she isn't the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Story
Now accepting applications for Gracie! Gracie is a young adult spayed female mix breed. This sweet girl was a stray and no one came looking for her. Gracie looks like a pitbull, but she has the shortest little legs, we think she might be part corgi, or bassett hound. Whatever mix she is, she is stinking cute! Gracie is not good with cats and will need a no feline household. She has shown a cautious attitude towards other dogs. She tends to be selective with her canine friends and is most comfortable with dogs who match her energy level and social style. A proper introduction process is crucial when introducing Gracie to new dogs, and she will likely do best as the only dog in the household. Continued socialization and positive reinforcement training can help her gain more confidence around other dogs over time. Gracie would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner she would not be a good first dog for a new dog owner. She loves people and going for walks. She will bounce along beside you with those short little legs and big smile on her face. Gracie's adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and micro-chipped. If you are interested in meeting Gracie, please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click on the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her sweet face to submit your application. Story
Now accepting applications for Jagger! Jagger is a 1-year-old neutered male lab/mastiff. He is a giant puppy weighing 31.7kg/70 lbs. who still loves to play and show off his goofy side. Despite his size he is a gentle giant who loves to be close to his humans leaning into you and always ready for a cuddle. He's a smart dog and will benefit from mental stimulation and training to keep his mind engaged. Jagger may not be the best choice for first-time dog owners due to his size and energy level. Experience with large, strong breeds is a plus. He will require consistent training and socialization to ensure he grows into a well-behaved adult dog. If you're an experienced owner looking for an active and affectionate companion, Jagger might be the perfect addition to your family. With the right training, socialization, and care, he has the potential to become a loyal and well-behaved adult dog. Make sure you have the time, space, and commitment required to provide for his needs, and you'll have a wonderful companion for years to come. Jagger's adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and micro-chipped. Story
Now accepting applications for Bindi! Bindi is a young adult spayed female pitbull mix. We think she is around 9 months to a year old. She came into our care as a stray and no one came looking for. Bindi's journey so far has shaped her into a unique and wonderful companion. She's looking for a forever home that can provide her with the care, attention, and understanding she deserves. She will do best as the only dog in the household. Continued socialization and positive reinforcement training can help her gain more confidence around other dogs over time. Bindi needs an experienced dog owner and would not be a good fit for a first time dog owner. Bindi will need a securely fenced yard for play and exercise. A family willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization and take the time and patience to help Bindi overcome her insecurities around other dogs. A household without cats or small animals. A family that is willing to give her the love, attention, and understand that Bindi is a work in progress, but her potential for companionship is boundless. Bindi's adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and micro-chipped. If you interested in meeting Bindi, please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca, click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her sweet face to submit your application. Story
Now accepting applications for Plum! Plum is a 1 1/2 year old spayed female terrier mix. Plum is such a happy girl, her tail is always wagging and she literally smiles when she sees us. Plum is about 11.5kg/25.3lbs. and stands about mid-calf in height. She seems okay with other dogs, and wasn't too interested in cats. We think Plum would be a good fit for any family. Plum's adoption fee is $400, she is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations and micro-chipped. If you are interested in meeting Plum, please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her sweet face to submit your application.
