Bodie Male Shep Mix Approx 2-3 yrs old Around 55 lbs Neutered Update: Watch out, this gentleman will capture your heart! Bodie is currently fostered with multiple dogs, including several smalls! He gets along with everyone great and is very gentle with the smaller dogs. He loves to lay in the sun, go for walks and enjoys belly rubs. Bodie is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He also rides well in the car. He is a very loyal boy and will be your best friend. He has stolen many hearts while in our care. Bodie was previously HW positive but has completed all treatments. ____________________________________________________________________ Hi! I’m Bodie! I was saved from animal control but sadly was heartworm positive! But guess what, all of that is behind me now! I’ve completed all my treatments and am ready for my next step towards a family. I’m full of love and personality, I like everyone. My foster mom says I have very photogenic ears and am very handsome! I’m good friends with both large and small dogs, I really enjoy doggie companions. I enjoy walks and would love to go on adventures with you. I’m very treat motivated and a smart boy. Can you help me find my furever family, I’ve waited so long to find?!

Story
Description Jake 4-5 years 52lbs Heartworm Negative Neutered Jake was rescued as part of a cruelty case where multiple dogs were taken. The dogs were sadly all starving, chained up and living among filth. Thankfully the courts sided in our favor and we were able to rescue 3 of them. Given his background, we have been amazed at his transition! From dog testing, meeting new people, taking treats gently, he is a good boy. Jake is just a handsome boy that is oh so sweet! He dog tested well. Very people friendly. Jake recently moved into a foster home and so far he’s having a blast exploring all the new things! Jake loves food and treats. He’s gentle when taking treats. He doesn’t show much interest in toys but he really likes Kongs or the lickable type of toys with some peanut butter. Jake is currently sleeping indoors in a crate and he’s had no potty accidents! He sleeps quietly thru the night aside from the occasional light snoring but that just adds to his charm, lol! He’s also crated indoors when we’re not home. Jake may have some opinions when he is first crated but he settles down pretty quick. While the crate isn’t his first choice in places to be, he will easily run in if you throw a treat inside. Jake really enjoys being outside but he also likes being inside exploring the house. Jake is hesitant getting in the car but once he’s in, he rides well. Currently uses a dog seatbelt. He pulls a bit when walking but he’s not hard to walk. He’s just excited to be able to explore! Jake has overcome so much in his life yet he remains full of love and hope. After all he’s been through, he deserves the absolute best. He deserves a family who will not only care for him, but truly love him the way he deserves to be loved. A family that will show him patience and grace as he learns. Jake deserves the world. Jake is ready to meet the people who will finally show him what it means to be safe, loved, and truly in his home

Story
Xena Female 2yrs old Spayed 4DX negative Approx 70lbs Update: This amazing girl is so eager to find her furever. She is being overlooked, no doubt due to her breed. But she is a total package of love and good girl vibes. Her foster family loves her dearly, but would love to see her get a chance at a furever family of her own. Ask us questions! Give her a look! ________________________________________________________________________ Xena is a happy hippo, smiling sweetheart. She is a beautiful doggy that will make her way into your heart. She is potty trained, food trained (she waits for you to put the food down and move away before she starts to eat). She is not cat friendly but that shouldn’t stop anyone as she is the biggest cuddler around. She doesn’t like the crate but will go in it, if you need her too. She’s good with children and toddlers. She likes to give the adults “hugs” but doesn’t jump on the kiddos (it’s like she knows they are little and doesn’t want to hurt them). She is super smart and food motivated when it comes to learning new tricks. She will be best with a family that loves adventures and going places. But when she’s ready to sleep she’s out like a light. She prefers blankets on her when it’s cold but loves the warmth of the sun (even if it’s chilly out). She's a nibbler on stuffies and needs to have one with her while she is getting ready to sleep. She is great with other dogs (big and small). Her cutiest feature is her “smile”, when she is excited and happy she pulls back her lips and shows all her beautiful teeth with a big smile. She was rescued off the code red list and volunteers just couldn’t let her be passed over

Story
Sky Female Husky Mix ~4yrs 50 lbs Heartworm negative Spayed Update 2: Sky is a lovely rescue dog with a range of wonderful qualities. Her bright blue eyes are truly enchanting, and her happy personality makes her a joy to be around. As a low-maintenance dog, Sky is easy to care for, and she gets along well with both dogs and cats. She walks nicely on a leash and is comfortable sleeping in a crate. Sky's salt and pepper coat is soft and attractive, and she loves spending time with people. She is fed in her crate and getting into a great routine in foster care quickly. Given her background and history, we are amazed at how well she is adapting. Her skin is still healing up and she continue to gain weight, but she is well on her way to becoming the beautiful dog she should have always been. Update: Sky is officially ours and will never have to go back to her previous life of hell. She is gaining so much weight and her skin looks great. Healing and leaving all that behind her. She has been moved into foster care now, so we are getting to know more about her! _______________________________________________________________ Recently the Sheriff’s office worked a cruelty case, where 4 dogs were taken. All are extremely sweet, very friendly with people. Two sadly did not dog test well, but these two did! So we are hoping to find them placement, as they can’t be boarded any longer, now that the judge has ruled in our favor and awarded their custody to us. The owner has thru tomorrow to file an appeal, so we need a plan in place asap so they arent euthanized. Sky-female, husky mix, maybe 3-4yrs old, 41lbs. Friendly girl, also very skinny and skin was eaten up from all the fleas/ticks. Dog tested well! Her right hip is dislocated, so she sadly will need an FHO. Her one hip was previously broken and is out of socket :( We have a vet here in Tx who quoted $2,000 to do the FHO/spay her. HW negative, dhlpp, RV, proheart, Bordatella, fecal, and simparica have all been given.

Story
Asher is a 12-year-old mixed-breed dog who was adopted as a puppy in Corpus Christi, Texas. Asher is full of energy, even at an older age, and loves playing with any type of ball that he can chase down and play fetch with. Asher also loves playing tug-o-war with ropes and going for walks. Asher loves people, often going up to people rather than other dogs while at dog parks. He enjoys running out in the open and having freedom. Asher also loves a good nap and will knock out for hours when cuddled with. I want Asher to continue to enjoy these things with someone or a family that can give him the time he deserves. He truly is a loyal companion. I want him to be with a family that will allow him to live out the rest of his life to the fullest where he can run free and be loved like I have loved him for the past 12 years. Hopefully, somewhere I can visit him from time to time, as I would love to stay in his life.
