Meet Hitch! This playful 3-year-old pup is ready to tug on your heartstrings—literally! Hitch lives for a good game of tug-of-war and gets the zoomies like a pro, so be prepared for lots of laughter and energy. He’s great with other dogs, though he may be a bit vocal when saying hello for the first time. Hitch is also cat-friendly and does well with older kids who can match his zest for life. He’s a little shy around men, especially if they’re wearing hats or sunglasses, so slow introductions and patience will go a long way. But once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a loyal sidekick for all of life’s adventures. Whether you're hiking a trail or snuggling on the couch, Hitch is ready to be your ride-or-die buddy. Could this sweet, spunky guy be your new best friend? Come meet Hitch today!

Story
Rosco is a resilient 3-year-old who came to Laramie Peak Humane Society in very rough shape. He arrived underweight, suffering from mange, and showing clear signs of past abuse. With dedicated care from our team—and the help of a loving foster home—Rosco has made remarkable progress. His skin is still healing, but he has come a long way and continues to improve every day. Now I know what you might be thinking... Xoloitzcuintli... this dog has hair. Rosco has the recessive gene which made him grow hair. Because of this, he needs a little extra care with his skin, but we promise he is worth it! According to his foster mom, Rosco loves pets, food, and going for walks. He is a calmer dog who would thrive in a quieter, lower-energy home where he can continue to build confidence and feel safe. While he can be a bit too pushy with cats, Rosco is a gentle, affectionate dog who is finally learning what it means to be loved. He is ready for a family who will give him the patience and compassion he deserves.

Story
Mazi is a 10-month-old Cane Corso mix with a big, playful personality to match her growing size. This girl is full of puppy energy and absolutely loves to play—her action shots don’t lie! She thrives on activity and would be happiest in an active home where she can explore, run, and burn off that youthful enthusiasm. Mazi is incredibly treat-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. She already knows sit and shake, and with her eagerness to learn, she’s ready to keep building on those skills with her future family. Because she can resource guard toys, Mazi would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the attention. Due to her size and strength, a home with older children would be the best fit. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion who’s ready to be your adventure buddy and training partner, Mazi may be your perfect match!

Big Lebowski

Bluetick Coonhound Hound (Unknown Type)

Douglas, WY
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Big Lebowski is a 2-year-old Bluetick Coonhound with a big personality and all the classic traits the breed is known for. He’s an energetic, fun-loving guy who enjoys staying active and making his presence known with his signature hound bay. Big Lebowski loves car rides, gets enthusiastic zoomies, and thrives in an environment where he can burn off energy and explore the world around him. He previously lived in a home with teens and did well, making him a good fit for a family with older children. He does get along with other dogs, but because he has some food guarding behavior, he will need to be fed separately from other pets in the home. Outside of mealtime, he’s social, playful, and eager to be part of the action. Big Lebowski would do best with adopters who appreciate the unique personality of hounds and can provide structure, exercise, and enrichment. If you’re looking for an active companion with charm, character, and a whole lot of hound heart, Big Lebowski may be the perfect match.

Story
Odin is a 6-year-old Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for playtime — especially if a ball is involved! Chasing, fetching, and playing are some of his favorite things, and he brings a joyful, goofy energy to everything he does. Odin is good with cats and enjoys having a dog friend to wrestle and play with. Like Aura, he came to us due to his owner’s failing health, and he is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will love him as much as he loves them. Odin has grown up with Aura, and the two share a strong friendship. While he can be adopted separately, we would love to see Odin and Aura find a home together where they can continue to play, relax, and enjoy life side by side.

Story
Doug is around 1 year old and full of life. Since he came to us as a found dog, we don’t know much about his past—but what we do know is that this boy absolutely lives for playtime. He has big puppy energy and sometimes isn’t quite sure what to do with all of it! Doug does great with other dogs and would love a home with playful pup pals to help him burn off that energy. Doug is already housetrained and has a wonderful foundation to build on. He would benefit from some continued training and a patient, understanding family while he’s learning. The good news? Doug adores people and is eager to please, which makes him a great candidate for training and bonding. With love, structure, and lots of play, Doug is going to be an amazing companion.
