Story
Bob is a fun-loving, playful boy who is just over 3 years old and weighs around 25 pounds. Full of wiggles and personality, he enjoys staying active and is always happy to head out for a walk or dive into a pile of toys. Bob has done well with other dogs, especially those close to his size, and he doesn’t mind sharing his space with cats. More than anything, Bob loves spending time with his people. He would do best in a home without children, where he can enjoy a calmer environment and plenty of one-on-one attention. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready for daily walks, playtime, and lots of quality time together, Bob could be the perfect addition to your family.

Meet Hitch! This playful 3-year-old pup is ready to tug on your heartstrings—literally! Hitch lives for a good game of tug-of-war and gets the zoomies like a pro, so be prepared for lots of laughter and energy. He’s great with other dogs, though he may be a bit vocal when saying hello for the first time. Hitch is also cat-friendly and does well with older kids who can match his zest for life. He’s a little shy around men, especially if they’re wearing hats or sunglasses, so slow introductions and patience will go a long way. But once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a loyal sidekick for all of life’s adventures. Whether you're hiking a trail or snuggling on the couch, Hitch is ready to be your ride-or-die buddy. Story
Rosco is a resilient 3-year-old who came to Laramie Peak Humane Society in very rough shape. He arrived underweight, suffering from mange, and showing clear signs of past abuse. With dedicated care from our team—and the help of a loving foster home—Rosco has made remarkable progress. His skin is still healing, but he has come a long way and continues to improve every day. Now I know what you might be thinking... Xoloitzcuintli... this dog has hair. Rosco has the recessive gene which made him grow hair. Because of this, he needs a little extra care with his skin, but we promise he is worth it! According to his foster mom, Rosco loves pets, food, and going for walks. He is a calmer dog who would thrive in a quieter, lower-energy home where he can continue to build confidence and feel safe. While he can be a bit too pushy with cats, Rosco is a gentle, affectionate dog who is finally learning what it means to be loved. He is ready for a family who will give him the patience and compassion he deserves.

Story
Doug is around 1 year old and full of life. Since he came to us as a found dog, we don’t know much about his past—but what we do know is that this boy absolutely lives for playtime. He has big puppy energy and sometimes isn’t quite sure what to do with all of it! Doug does great with other dogs and would love a home with playful pup pals to help him burn off that energy. Doug is already housetrained and has a wonderful foundation to build on. He would benefit from some continued training and a patient, understanding family while he’s learning. The good news? Doug adores people and is eager to please, which makes him a great candidate for training and bonding. With love, structure, and lots of play, Doug is going to be an amazing companion.

Penny

Australian Shepherd Australian Shepherd

Female, Senior
Douglas, WY
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
One of the ranch hands prior to me quit but left behind Penny. Everyone else at the ranch said that she is almost 10 years old, but the previous owner did nothing with her. So she sat in a Kennel for who knows how long without hardly any attention from the outside world. She is healthy for her age and gets along with other dogs well, but is very shy. I have a soft spot for dogs and couldnt help taking her into my own hands and do what I could with my limited experience in dog training. She is by far the sweetest dog Ive met and finding a new home for her is rather hard for me, but since the ranch Ive moved into town and got an apartment since I have a baby on the way. I have 1 other dog that Ive had for 5 years but the appartment only allows 1 dog per household, so Penny stays at my dads. She deserves the best and someone willing to work with her and be patient, so a local shelter isnt an option. Thank you for reading, I hope you come to enjoy Penny the same way I have=)

Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mixed Breed (Large)

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Story
Baja is a 4.5-year-old shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a big heart. He came into our care after his owner went into hospice, and it’s clear from his manners and affection that he was deeply loved in his previous home. Like many well-loved pups, Baja enjoyed one too many snacks and is now beginning a healthy weight-loss journey with the support of our team. Baja is looking for a home that’s excited to help him continue this journey through regular exercise, fun outdoor activities, and a balanced diet. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being part of a routine that keeps him moving and engaged. Baja is currently in foster care to give him the best start possible, so meetings will need to be scheduled with his foster mom. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion and a dog to share an active lifestyle with, Baja may be the perfect match.
