Story
Jaxson is a 9 month old black lab mix. He's very playful, curious, and will get attached once he gets to know you a bit better. He loves hotdogs, kiddy pools, chew toys, gets along well with other dogs, and prefers the company of another dog and/or a loving human who is willing to give him attention and training. Jaxson needs space to run and play, as well as structure to tame his wild nature. He's potty trained, and is a great partner to take for walks.

Story
Max is a sweet, loyal boy who’s truly a one-person dog and thrives on human companionship. He’s shy and a bit skittish at first, but with patience and kindness, he becomes a very affectionate and devoted companion. Max does not like other dogs, cats, chickens, cows, or horses—he’d much prefer to be the only animal in the house. This smart guy already knows how to sit, hug, and even open doors! He loves attention, snuggles, and being close to his person. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who just needs a little time to trust, Max is the boy for you!

Story
Meet Willy! He is a 9-month-old Lab mix who has had a rough start in life. He came to us from a hoarding case, where he received little training, socialization, or structure. As a result, he is very shy and fearful of new people, especially men. Willy needs someone who is patient and willing to give him a chance. Once he warms up to you, he is the sweetest dog—he loves giving kisses and hugs. Willy gets along well with other dogs, though he is still learning how to play appropriately. He can sometimes be a little rough with his brother. He would thrive in a home with other dogs who can help show him the ropes and teach him that life isn't as scary as it once seemed. Willy requires a person who is ready to dedicate significant time and patience as he adjusts to life outside the shelter. He walks fairly well on a leash, though, due to his nervousness about new things, he often checks in with you to make sure you’re not going too far. While he gets a little anxious in the car, he absolutely loves fries and chicken nuggets!

Maggie May is a 2.5-year-old Heeler/Border Collie mix with a gentle, shy nature and a sharp mind. While she may take a little time to warm up, she responds well to verbal recall and is highly motivated by food, already knowing basic commands like sit and lay down. Maggie loves car rides and outdoor adventures, and she thrives in wide open spaces where she can stretch her legs and explore. With her intelligence and natural working instincts, Maggie May has great potential to become a fantastic ranch dog in the hands of a patient and experienced owner.
