Story
Bruno is 1 year old, litter box trained, and loves to play. Bruno is fun to watch when he gets the zoomies and will play with most toys. Bruno has no problems with children of all ages. He was given up, along with his sister May May and his brother Maui. They live with other male and female cats and get along with no issues. He also lives with 3 dogs of all sizes and doesn’t mind them. Bruno has lived inside his whole life and is just waiting for his forever home. Is that you?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 29, 2024, 5:57 am

Story
Myrtle is a beautiful 3 year old cat who came to us from a local rescuer. She is very vocal and will meow for attention, making her presence known. She loves attention on her own terms; being petted, having her chin scratched or engaging in a back and forth conversation. However, when she has had enough, she will let you know and needs an experienced cat owner who can read her cues. She is a long haired girl and will require regular grooming from her new owners to keep her looking her best. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Please consider fostering a cat or dog by applying on our website.A cat's behavior in the shelter is usually not what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat.Kitten Policy: It is important to understand that the socialization of kittens with other animals as playmates is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/

Six-year-old Quinn is currently in foster, where we have learned she’s a sweet girl who needs a home with someone who can provide loads of attention to help prevent some anxiety. She likely will do best if her people are mostly home, not away overnight, etc. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Story
Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly broken leg that required surgery and a pin in his leg.  The senior couple could not afford the surgery and they were going to euthanize this handsome boy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue paid the $1,000 bill to fix his leg and save his life.  He was worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has been healing so nicely and getting friendlier and snuggly the past 3 weeks since we picked him up from the vet’s office after surgery.  He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please!  He has started walking on all four legs now, but he still travels with a slight limp in his giddy-up.  Thankfully all the nerves in his paw seem to be intact and we marvel at what a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt her; he hasn’t even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm
