Story
Hello, I’m Pepper! I need a new home because my human mom died and my new human mom who loves me so much has several pets already. Her pets fight with me all the time and it’s a very stressful life. I’ve lived with my new mom for almost a year and we’ve tried to make it work, but it’s just too hard. I’m scared of men and don’t know why, and obviously other pets don’t like me, but I’m really very sweet! I love to be brushed every day and am wonderful to cuddle with!

Story
You don't have to be a brainy physicist to understand cuteness. Such is the case with Neutron, who has been spending time in foster care. Foster mom says that this little one in her physics litter is the biggest love of all! She is playful and loves her toys and a laser light. She likes to climb into your lap, crawl up to your chin, collapse and take a nap. She's just so adorable! Dakin has put together our top tips to help your kitten settle into their new home. Please take a look at the video above, with the photos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1S8y8G-Cgc If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Phoenix. He was brought in as a stray cat with his brother Sphinx. He is a more shy and timid boy. He will need patience to gain his trust. He does enjoy chin rubs and ear scratches though. Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. Good with cats, House-trained,
Story
He is and 6-7 months. A friend who couldn’t keep him gave him to be. But now I suddenly have to relocate and the new place isn’t allowing pets. He is a skittish but not mean or aggressive at all. He will need a home that is going to be patient and take the time to allow him to adjust. He is really funny and LOVES the lil furry toy mouse’s with beads. And loves to play fetch. I think he would be good for a single person or for a couple.

Story
Luna Tuna is 4 years old. She has lived with another older male cat that passes away and that made her sad. Once she adjusts to a new home, she loves people and loves to sleep with you. She is a lap cat, but she does not like to be held. Best placed is an adult household. She has been around young children who visited but takes time for her to feel comfortable with them. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Please consider fostering a cat or dog by applying on our website.A cat's behavior in the shelter is usually not what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat.Kitten Policy: It is important to understand that the socialization of kittens with other animals as playmates is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/
