Story
Belle was surrendered to Faithful Friends when her owners suffered illnesses that left them unable to care for her properly. Unfortunately, when Belle arrived she was diagnosed with Diabetes and would require specific care and treatment. Belle is now on a brand new prescription for diabetics which involves an oral pill rather than the typical injections! She is doing well, adjusting to the shelter, and enjoys the company of our staff, and has even become a staff favorite. She takes her meds in her food with no issues and is now stable! This pretty pretty princess is 6 years old, and she is hoping to find her forever family soon. April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Please meet fluffy Isabelle!  She is a bit more than a year old as of Jan. 2024.  Isabelle first came into her foster household as a young mother, still a kitten herself.  She arrived with 4 beautiful kittens: 3 black, and 1 Siamese, about 6 weeks old. Despite her youth,  Isabelle was a wonderful Mama Cat. Her kittens have all been adopted, and now it’s her turn. She is adorable, like a mini Maine Coon!  Her favorite place to relax is either on the back of the couch or in a cardboard catbed.  She has a favorite toy: those circle things with the balls she can hit round and round. She does NOT like any sort of wand toys as they seem to frighten her. Isabelle is super soft to the touch, with long fur that never seems to shed. She doesn’t go on counters, and she uses the litterbox well.  Isabelle gets along great with other cats, and it would be better for Isabelle that her furever family has a kitty friend for her, instead of being alone.  Prospective adopters and family members need to be able to read cat behavior.  Isabelle has sass to her.  She has her own mind and her own boundaries that need to be respected.  You can tell this is a cat with self-esteem, who while affectionate and loving will give you a LOOK to let you know her opinion on things.  Otherwise, she will remind you with a smack on your hand; she has kept her claws sheathed, so far.  Thus, it will be best if Isabelle is not around young children.   Isabelle is not a lap cat; at most, she hops onto the bed when you are there to get a few pets before wandering off to her own spot. She rubs against your legs frequently and seems to do well with strangers.  She isn’t a clinger who is all up in your face non-stop, but she is always there when you want her! Final notes from the foster:  Cat experience would be good, but for the right family I think would be fine so long as they don't have children who won't respect boundaries.  She is honestly an all around great cat.  She is very loving and affectionate but in a "she is her own cat kind of way."  We've been working on making it easier to pick her up as this is the last hurdle; it  generally requires a bit of petting first.  I knew very quickly she isn't a feral cat (her ear is tipped), rather I think she had a home shortly as a young kitten during the socialization period and then was abandoned at some point. If you think that Isabelle could be the cat for you, please submit our no-obligation adoption application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Caroline M.)April 25, 2024, 5:47 pm

Story
I am scheduled to be at our Brandywine PetSmart adoption event, Apr. 26-28.  Please ask to meet me!  Thank you. Sweet and friendly!!  Pet me, please!!!   Please meet Fluff Muffin!  This long-haired calico with bright green eyes is such a stunner! What fun it will be to see Fluff Muffin’s gorgeous coat grow in.  (Her fur was very matted, so she had to be shaved). Fluff Muffin is a sweet, friendly girl who loves pets and attention. She has a certain calm and elegant demeanor. Will you be the lucky one to bring this amazing kitty into your family? Her foster reports, 'She is adjusting well, but she definitely had a family and misses them. She walks around my house and looks up in my bed meowing for someone. She is very sweet and loves to purr. When you are this pretty you don’t need fur! When she gets out of quarantine, she will be introduced to 4 kitty foster “siblings” and a cat- loving, German Shepherd.'  NOTE:  Fluff Muffin was abandoned in a house. Her person died, and the house was vacant.  Fluff Muffin is about 3-5 years old and weighs 12 pounds.  She loves people and purrs easily. She had already been spayed and microchipped before she came through our doors.  Are you ready to add your info to her chip? She is playing with her new foster family and being reduced to the resident pets.  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Amy R.)   April 25, 2024, 5:47 pm
