Story
Meet Neela the 7mth kitten! Neela is a working cat and is available for adoption through our barn cat program. Neela was a part of a large stray cat colony who was overtaking an elderly man’s home. All of the cats had to be trapped and safely relocated, as it was causing a huge safety and health concern for both the man and the cats. She is looking for a nice barn or likewise to reside in. She prefers little to no human interaction at this time. If someone is willing to work with her, she can be adopted out as a household or indoor/outdoor companion (she does well at using her litterbox inside). Please note, that although it is possible to rehabilitate feral cats, there are also risks of injury involved. Barn cats can be a mutually beneficial relationship. Interested in employing Neela for your pest control needs? All she requires for payment is a nice/warm spot to lay her head on, daily feeding and watering and vet care as needed. We highly suggest having at least 2 working cats, although we do make exceptions for certain situations. Neela's adoption fee is $30 ($50 if adopted as part of a pair) and includes our help in getting her set up and acquainted in her new home. We also loan out cages for the transition period, if needed. Reach out for our barn cat application or for more information on our barn cat program!
