Story
Comet here, and I am a 5.5 year old dapper boy looking for a home for the Easter Bunny to visit me! I am a happy panther who enjoys spending time with my humans, especially when it involves playing! I love to play and would never turn down a catnip mousey. I am looking for a home full of love and extra special places to nap. I would prefer to be your one and only feline. My friends at Ten Lives have done so much for me, I am forever grateful. They even found this food that helps me feel great, which I will need to stay on to keep me healthy. My friends can tell you all about it when you ask for me, Comet, and how I can be your forever panther!Comet is now accepting adoption applications, available below!*Comet is currently enjoying a prescription urinary diet which he will need to remain on. ___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Leo is a handsome, sweet, fluffy long long-haired male orange tiger. He was rescued from an over-population situation at a local barn. He will be a great indoor pet. He is approximately 3 to 4 years old. (born ~9/2020) Leo will be shy at first when meeting new people, but will soon seek out your lap for a few pets and brushes. He loves to be brushed and pampered, but his favorite is to receive treats. He is a great bird watcher and will lie in his favorite bed or on top of a cat tower, watching all the activity outside. He is a very fancy lounge kitty - he will sprawl out and air out his belly - it’s adorable! He is very playful and gets very excited about interactive toy play with a wand toy. He would do well as an only cat or with another cat and no young kids. Prior to a vet visit, Leo will require medications you can get from your vet to ease his anxiety. Leo will make a great addition to any family. All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you want to meet him or her, please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our website at www.angelcathaven.com. It can be filled out online or emailed to adoptions@angelcathaven.com. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Story
Sylvester is a handsome, funny, and affectionate short-haired male orange and white tiger. He was rescued from an over-population situation at a local barn. He will be a great indoor pet. He is approximately 3-4 years old (born ~9/2020). Sylvester is very nosy, and enjoys. a cat that enjoys supervising other kitties and humans. He’s known as a diva - he loves getting his picture taken, playing with string boys, being brushed, and eating Churro treats right out of the tube - while you hold it for him! Sylvester loves all humans and kitty friends and welcomes anyone who walks through the door. It takes him a few minutes to warm up to new people, but he enjoys any attention that comes his way. Sylvester would do best in a home that can provide him the attention that a diva deserves. Ideally, he would do best as a single cat or with another friendly cat and no young kids. Prior to a vet visit, Sylvester will require medications you can get from your vet to ease his anxiety. He would be a great addition to your home! All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. Story
Adoption Donation  $ 99     Located: in RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast, plz ask for more details )    Age: 15 years old Weight: 15 lbs      Hi my name is Cleopatra, but my mom calls me Cleo. I love to be with my person, getting brushed and when I can trust you, belly rubs too. My mom got sick 5 months ago, and unfortunately my mom is going into a nursing home and is not coming home. I'm now with a really nice foster lady! My wish is to find a home for with someone who will love me as much as my mom does. I would prefer to be the one and only pampered pet in the household! I do love to eat and my foster mom says that my new family will need to keep me on a strict diet so I lose some weight and get back my girlish figure. It will also be healthier for me. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  aajaid@yahoo.com     Please verify the location and readiness of this cat with us.  Because we save lives from various locations throughout the United States, some cats may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
