Story
Ideal Home: Cool, Calm and Collected with another feline friend 🐾Qualities: Affectionate, Mellow, SnugglyWe have a very special girl ready for her adoption debut! Opal is a 5-year-old FIV+ long hair silver beauty who just might be the sweetest girl we've ever met. Opal enjoys spending her days on a good lap with her trusted person and simply can't get enough of being close and knowing how loved they are by her. Brushing is a relaxing pastime to share together, along with a nice afternoon snooze in the warm sun beams. Like her name, Opal is full of love and hope, laying the groundwork to ensure your balance of emotions and well being. She will need her time to settle in and substitute her shy demeanor with her blossoming affectionate one. She would benefit from another friendly feline to continue her growth and prosperity. She adores her best friend Captain whom she relies on for comfort, support, and the occasional kitty bath, and thinks it would be the cat's meow for them to go home together for all their ten lives! You may notice something extra special about Opal in that she is always lovingly winking at you. This is just an added charm to this wonderful girl who is ready for her forever home. If you could be her match, she hopes you will fill out an application today!Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/______________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
🐾 Meet Wilson – From Street Survivor to Snuggle Pro! 🏡 Wilson has traded his tough outdoor life for the cozy comforts of indoor living, and he’s loving it! 😺 He’s a quiet soul who enjoys finding the perfect spot to knead biscuits and relax. With a little patience, Wilson will show you his affectionate side—once he trusts you, he’s all about the cuddles! 💕 His favorite pastime (besides mealtime! 🍽️) is scratching away on his beloved cardboard scratcher. He also enjoys his scratching post and a few small catnip toys to keep things interesting. Wilson would like to start as the only pet in the home. He would do best in a quiet household (teens and up) where he can settle in at his own pace. Wilson is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you! Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives with proper care. He just needs a loving home that will keep him indoors and provide regular vet visits to keep him feeling his best. Wilson is currently in a foster home. If you’d like to meet him, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and email hmaclellan@parl.org to set up a meeting.

Story
Meet Mowgli 💕 Mowgli is a gentle senior girl with a heart full of love and whiskers full of wisdom. She’s a total sweetheart who adores being pet, can’t resist a good treat, and finds comfort and joy in the company of other cats. She’s especially hoping for a home with a feline friend—either one of her current kitty companions or a resident cat who is vaccinated for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). Mowgli has a regressive FeLV infection, which means she was exposed to the virus at some point in her life, but her immune system has suppressed it. She’s not currently sick and may never develop illness from the virus, but she should only live with FeLV+ or vaccinated cats to keep everyone safe. Mowgli has so much love to give and would be a wonderful addition to a calm, caring home. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who’s happiest with a feline friend by her side, Mowgli would love to meet you. 🐾

Story
Meet Raj – the floofy genius of the bunch! 🧪🐾 At 6 months old, Raj is the black-and-white long-haired standout among his siblings Howard, Sheldon, Leonard, and Penny. With his fabulous ear floofs and wild white tufts sticking out like he’s just had a brilliant idea, Raj is basically the Albert Einstein of kittens—if Einstein loved belly rubs and chasing feather toys, that is. He’s purry, playful, and packed with personality. Raj is a social little guy who adores attention, zoomies, and cozy cuddle sessions when the day winds down. With his fluffy coat and adorable face, he’s sure to turn heads—and melt hearts—wherever he goes. Brains, beauty, and a whole lot of fluff—what more could you ask for? 💫 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change.
