Story
Ideal Home: Cool, Calm and Collected with another feline friend 🐾Qualities: Affectionate, Mellow, SnugglyWe have a very special girl ready for her adoption debut! Opal is a 5-year-old FIV+ long hair silver beauty who just might be the sweetest girl we've ever met. Opal enjoys spending her days on a good lap with her trusted person and simply can't get enough of being close and knowing how loved they are by her. Brushing is a relaxing pastime to share together, along with a nice afternoon snooze in the warm sun beams. Like her name, Opal is full of love and hope, laying the groundwork to ensure your balance of emotions and well being. She will need her time to settle in and substitute her shy demeanor with her blossoming affectionate one. She would benefit from another friendly feline to continue her growth and prosperity. She adores her best friend Captain whom she relies on for comfort, support, and the occasional kitty bath, and thinks it would be the cat's meow for them to go home together for all their ten lives! You may notice something extra special about Opal in that she is always lovingly winking at you. This is just an added charm to this wonderful girl who is ready for her forever home. If you could be her match, she hopes you will fill out an application today!Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/______________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
🐾 Meet Wilson – From Street Survivor to Snuggle Pro! 🏡 Wilson has traded his tough outdoor life for the cozy comforts of indoor living, and he’s loving it! 😺 He’s a quiet soul who enjoys finding the perfect spot to knead biscuits and relax. With a little patience, Wilson will show you his affectionate side—once he trusts you, he’s all about the cuddles! 💕 His favorite pastime (besides mealtime! 🍽️) is scratching away on his beloved cardboard scratcher. He also enjoys his scratching post and a few small catnip toys to keep things interesting. Wilson would like to start as the only pet in the home. He would do best in a quiet household (teens and up) where he can settle in at his own pace. Wilson is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you! Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives with proper care. He just needs a loving home that will keep him indoors and provide regular vet visits to keep him feeling his best. Wilson is currently in a foster home. If you’d like to meet him, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and email hmaclellan@parl.org to set up a meeting.

Story
Meet Raj – the floofy genius of the bunch! 🧪🐾 At 6 months old, Raj is the black-and-white long-haired standout among his siblings Howard, Sheldon, Leonard, and Penny. With his fabulous ear floofs and wild white tufts sticking out like he’s just had a brilliant idea, Raj is basically the Albert Einstein of kittens—if Einstein loved belly rubs and chasing feather toys, that is. He’s purry, playful, and packed with personality. Raj is a social little guy who adores attention, zoomies, and cozy cuddle sessions when the day winds down. With his fluffy coat and adorable face, he’s sure to turn heads—and melt hearts—wherever he goes. Brains, beauty, and a whole lot of fluff—what more could you ask for? 💫 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
🚀 Meet Mariner – The Satellite Kitty with a Fluffy Tail and a Big Personality! 🌙 Mariner’s journey has been a long one—he came from a hoarding case where he lived with many other cats. Now, he’s ready to land in a loving forever home! This mahogany-black beauty has silky medium-length fur and the fluffiest tail in the galaxy! But his tail isn’t just for show—it’s got a special quirk! The bones at the very tip are a little crooked, though you’d never notice just by looking. And don’t worry—it doesn’t bother him one bit! When you’re giving him pets, he’s way too busy soaking up the love to think about anything else. Now, Mariner may have a bit of a dramatic streak—he’s known to hiss when startled, but don’t be fooled! His hisses are all bark and no bite. It’s just his quirky way of expressing himself. He’s never aggressive—one moment, he might give you a little warning hiss, and the next, he’s rubbing against your legs like nothing ever happened! Mariner has lived with many other cats before and could do well with feline friends, especially those who understand his space and sass. If you’re looking for a cat who’s a little spicy, a little sweet, and 100% out of this world, Mariner is your guy! 🌌💫 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
🚀 Meet Rocket, the fluffy black comet streaking through your home in search of fun, food, and affection (on his terms, of course)! This 11-month-old long-haired boy came from a hoarding situation, but he's left the past behind and is ready to launch into his forever home. Rocket is playful, mischievous, and very food-motivated—if there’s a treat involved, he’s all in! He enjoys attention and will happily soak up pets, though he’s not the biggest fan of being held (he’ll tolerate it briefly, but let’s not push our luck). He loves playing with other friendly, respectful cats, but if another cat gives him attitude, Rocket isn’t afraid to dish it right back! He’s a chatty guy when he wants something, so be prepared for some adorable demands. Since loud noises startle him, he’d do best in a home with older kids who understand his need for a little peace and quiet between zoomies. If you’re looking for a playful, quirky, and independent feline friend, Rocket is ready for takeoff! 🚀🐾 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
Meet Patsy, the soft and fluffy wallflower of her litter! This 5-month-old long-haired dilute tortie may be the shyest of her siblings, but her heart is just as big. Patsy adores her brothers and sister—Edina, Marshall, and Oliver—but she has an extra special bond with her foster brother Banjo. Wherever Banjo goes, Patsy isn’t far behind, and their favorite hangout? Snuggling together in the hammock! Patsy is a certified cat’s cat—she wants to be friends with every feline she meets. She absolutely must have another kitty in her home to show her the ropes and help her feel safe. With time, patience, and a gentle touch, Patsy will warm up to her humans too, rewarding them with soft purrs and the sweetest companionship. If your resident cat needs a loyal new best friend, Patsy is your girl! 🐾💕 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying!
