If Samuel could be the one for you, please fill out an application today!Samuel is schedule for a consult with the cardiologist at Ocean State Veterinary Services on June 7, 2023. We are a 100% volunteer-powered organization and require an approved adoption application prior to scheduling meet and greets with animals. This is out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, as well as helping to ensure our animals are matched to the homes that best meet their needs. We require that all applicants have a satisfactory veterinary reference and provide proof of homeownership OR landlords approval. We will contact all applicants who meet our minimum requirements within 96 business hours of receiving your application. During kitten season wait times may be longer. We ask for your patience as we are all volunteers! All Ten Lives cats are spayed/neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. Story
Meet Sputnick! Spunick is the sweetest older lady you will ever meet! She is quite nervous around new people and surroundings, but after she is given some time to settle in she loves to be brushed and get head pets. She's a calm, quiet girl just looking for a loving home with plenty of comfy places to lay. Sputnick has lived with other cats her whole life and loves them, but we would suggest no dogs or young children. With questions about Sputnick, or any of our adoptable cats, please contact Olivia at owarburton@rispca.com

Story
Emma and Simon are two long-haired cats. Emma is a long-haired torti and Simon is a long-haired gray boy. They actually look like small Ewoks. They came to their foster mom from a very tragic sudden death of their owner. They lived in a multi-cat household with very little interaction for two months before their foster got them. Simon had a lot of mats and unfortunately, had to be shaved m everywhere. He has the softest fur growing in now. These two need a very patient home where they can have confidence but patience because it will take some time for them to build a new relationship with a new family. Simon loves toys! Small catnip toys, string, a red laser light, he loves them all. Emma is not very fond of toys currently. They both love treats. Emma will lie in your lap if you put her there, but she prefers to lie next to you and roll over so you can pet her belly. Simon also prefers to lie next to you for pets, but is not so fond of belly rubs! Over time, I think these two will absolutely flourish in the right home. They use scratching posts and are very good with the litter box. Emma likes to be brushed, and Simon tolerates it. These cats are both 7-10 years old, leukemia and aids negative, spayed, and neutered, and are current on vaccines. The adoption application is on our website westwarwickangels.org

Story
**Please note: applications must be filled out via our website - www.angelcathaven.com - thank you for understanding.** Wilson is a 7-ish old domestic long haired male cat. He is white with calico patches and a little stubby tail. Wilson's favorite things include include a cozy bed, a good brushing, treats, and an occasional worm toy. He is very chill and such a lovebug. His cheeks are made for scratches too. He instantly becomes the best friend to any other cat he meets. He was born to live as a couch potato in a quiet home, preferably with another furry buddy. He would make the perfect companion for a homebody and older folks! Wilson is FIV+, but with proper vet care and an indoor-only lifestyle, he should be able to remain out of trouble with his health issues. FIV, or feline immunodeficiency virus, is a disease that is quite similar to human HIV/AIDS. Cats with FIV can live for a number of years without symptoms, and most go on to live normal, healthy lives. The disease is transmitted from cat-to-cat only via direct contact—such as bites, puncture wounds, deep scratches, and occasionally during birth. There is a chance that they may re-test negative for FIV if their bodies can fight off the infection. See here for more information on FIV - https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus?fbclid=IwAR17HkoE7mxXAqxyhMFrc-fM2jN5K4_ryBuRekqs_INlvBPLipe7VfMxcQA https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/?fbclid=IwAR3e-gdsn6ld0pudHFuBmjRJxOwzEEAwzp9XMsMnjLsuoYwByZSdtpqujvI This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you would like to meet him please fill out an adoption application. They can be found at www.angelcathaven.com and can be filled out online or emailed to cats@angelcathaven.com. **A special note: given the current social restrictions we are under due to COVID-19, the adoption process will be a longer one than usual to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.**
