Story
All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. Esmerelda is not your average snugglebug—she’s your elegant roommate with opinions. A connoisseur of peace, high perches, and proper order, Esme doesn’t need your lap... just your love & respect. While only a select few earn the honor of petting her (nose boops are by appointment only), she loves being part of the action—tail high, eyes watchful, quietly policing the world from the sidelines. She adores other cats—particularly long haired boys—and will happily share her space and her affection with them. Interactive toys like laser pointers and wand dances? She’s all in. But when the commotion gets too chaotic, this graceful ghost will vanish to her safe haven... only to reappear once the world has righted itself. With her pretty eyes & fluffy coat, Esme is perfect for a cat-savvy soul who appreciates quiet companionship, playful moments, and the deep honor of being chosen—on her terms. This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you want to meet him or her, please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our website at www.angelcathaven.com. It can be filled out online or emailed to adoptions@angelcathaven.com. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Story
All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. Harry Potter is a long‑haired, white and brown male born September 22, 2017, who is gentle, people‑loving, and happiest when he can be close to his person. He forms strong bonds, thrives on human attention, and takes in the world with soft, curious eyes. Harry Potter previously lived outdoors and still finds doorways very interesting, so his adopter will need to be mindful about keeping him safely inside. Please read this part carefully: Harry Potter must be an only cat, and this is not flexible. Around other cats, he becomes anxious, and that anxiety shows up as stress‑related marking, which is common in ragdoll‑type and other sensitive long‑haired cats. In a calm, single‑cat home, this improves a lot — but during stressful moments, the marking can return. He needs an adopter who understands this and is genuinely willing to support him through it with patience, cleaning, and consistency. If you’re open to that, he will absolutely thrive. To help him stay comfortable, Harry Potter takes a simple anti‑stress medication and gets Miralax mixed into his canned food to keep him regular — both easy parts of his routine. With people, Harry Potter is warm, affectionate, and deeply appreciative of kindness. He enjoys gentle handling and settles in beautifully when he feels safe. For the adopter who can offer a calm, stable, single‑cat home, Harry Potter will be a devoted, loving companion with a truly special bond. If you’re looking for a sweet, well‑mannered cuddle companion who brings both calm and playfulness to a home, Nellie is ready to be your little lovebug. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Adding adoptions@angelcathaven.com to your contacts may prevent the emails from being sent to the SPAM folder. If this is happening, please add cheri@angelcathaven.com to your contacts.

Story
All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. JoJo is a long‑haired, gentle boy born around June 2022. He loves being brushed and absolutely lights up for treats. Sweet, timid, and very docile, he’s the kind of cat who blossoms with calm, patient companionship. JoJo is FeLV‑positive (feline leukemia). While the condition can sound intimidating, many FeLV‑positive cats enjoy comfortable, happy lives indoors with regular veterinary care. It isn’t contagious to humans (just other cats), and JoJo can live with another FeLV‑positive cat or be your cherished only pet. Because JoJo was originally trapped as a feral cat and has spent most of his life being socialized in a crate with us, the larger world still feels new and overwhelming to him. He’s available for long‑term foster or foster‑to‑adopt, and he’ll thrive with someone who can offer gentleness, stability, and time. If you’re looking to make a meaningful difference for a truly sweet soul, JoJo is ready for his first real home. If you’re looking for a sweet, well‑mannered cuddle companion who brings both calm and playfulness to a home, Nellie is ready to be your little lovebug. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Story
🌸 Meet Harriet – Your Quiet Roommate 🌸 Harriet is a 13-year-old beauty who spent most of her life outdoors before coming to the shelter, and is now enjoying the safety and comfort of a foster home. She’s completely deaf and in the early stages of kidney disease, but that doesn’t stop her from living life exactly as she pleases. Harriet has no interest in sharing her space with other animals. She’ll graciously tolerate humans — mostly because they make excellent food servants and providers of a comfy bed. She’s not aggressive, and she’s easy to care for when needed, but she prefers relationships to unfold slowly. Yet with patience and a gentle approach, she may surprise you with small steps forward. Her favorite time is nighttime, when the house is quiet and hers alone. That’s when she’ll explore, patrol from a window perch, and enjoy a spirited game with a catnip toy. Daytime is for luxurious naps in sunny, low-traffic spots. Harriet is looking for a calm, patient, cat-savvy home that will respect her boundaries while still giving her the chance to build confidence and enjoy the quiet companionship of “her” human. She may never be a lap cat, but she’s the kind of roommate who knows what she likes — and when she’s content, her slow blinks are her way of saying thanks. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Harriet, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Harriet.

Story
🐰 Meet Honey Bunny! 🐰 Maybe we've mixed up our holidays, or maybe our 2-year-old Honey Bunny has hopped right where she needs to be in your life! We're thrilled to show off this tri-colour beauty, who has fur as soft as, you guessed it, a bunny. Favorite things to do? Be held, petted, and enjoys to be held, petted, and brushed. She loves belly rubs, too, once she trusts you. Honey Bunny is looking for a calm, laid-back environment where she can enjoy Churu snacks, routine nap times, and snuggling. Like many of us, she can be shy in new environments and needs someone committed to helping her personality shine. Time, reassurance, and treats help with these transitions! While she has not met other pets directly, she seems curious about the resident felines, and with proper introduction, we think she could do well with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. No young kiddos for this girl, she's ready for the quiet life just you and her! Honey Bunny, our special CATalyst girl, is now accepting adoption applications, available below.___________________________CATalyst cats:At Ten Lives, we believe in saving the most at-risk cats of our community. Often, these cats require specialized medical care and extended stays in their foster homes before they are ready for adoption. But we don’t think time or money should ever get in the way of a cat receiving the care they deserve! To help us care for these cats, we have increased fees for other high–demand cats, as these cats help catalyze change within our community. When you adopt a CATalyst cat, you aren’t just providing a forever home for them; you’re helping many other cats at Ten Lives, like our Forgotten Felines!Thank you for allowing us to continue our life-saving work!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives!
