Story
All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. Esmerelda is not your average snugglebug—she’s your elegant roommate with opinions. A connoisseur of peace, high perches, and proper order, Esme doesn’t need your lap... just your love & respect. While only a select few earn the honor of petting her (nose boops are by appointment only), she loves being part of the action—tail high, eyes watchful, quietly policing the world from the sidelines. She adores other cats—particularly long haired boys—and will happily share her space and her affection with them. Interactive toys like laser pointers and wand dances? She’s all in. But when the commotion gets too chaotic, this graceful ghost will vanish to her safe haven... only to reappear once the world has righted itself. With her pretty eyes & fluffy coat, Esme is perfect for a cat-savvy soul who appreciates quiet companionship, playful moments, and the deep honor of being chosen—on her terms. This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you want to meet him or her, please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our website at www.angelcathaven.com. It can be filled out online or emailed to adoptions@angelcathaven.com. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Adding adoptions@angelcathaven.com to your contacts may prevent the emails from being sent to the SPAM folder. If this is happening, please add cheri@angelcathaven.com to your contacts.

Story
🌸 Meet Harriet – Your Quiet Roommate 🌸 Harriet is a 13-year-old beauty who spent most of her life outdoors before coming to the shelter, and is now enjoying the safety and comfort of a foster home. She’s completely deaf and in the early stages of kidney disease, but that doesn’t stop her from living life exactly as she pleases. Harriet has no interest in sharing her space with other animals. She’ll graciously tolerate humans — mostly because they make excellent food servants and providers of a comfy bed. She’s not aggressive, and she’s easy to care for when needed, but she prefers relationships to unfold slowly. Yet with patience and a gentle approach, she may surprise you with small steps forward. Her favorite time is nighttime, when the house is quiet and hers alone. That’s when she’ll explore, patrol from a window perch, and enjoy a spirited game with a catnip toy. Daytime is for luxurious naps in sunny, low-traffic spots. Harriet is looking for a calm, patient, cat-savvy home that will respect her boundaries while still giving her the chance to build confidence and enjoy the quiet companionship of “her” human. She may never be a lap cat, but she’s the kind of roommate who knows what she likes — and when she’s content, her slow blinks are her way of saying thanks. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Harriet, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Harriet.

Story
Hello Skittles is a beautiful little guy for sure! Unfortunately we are unable to keep him due to my health declining and needing open abdomen surgery, he is trained but does occasionally have some issues going outside of the box, most likely something that can be fixed behaviorally I’m sure! We adopted from a woman a year and a half ago and he was very very scared of everything! He has come a LONG way with that seeing as we have a household of kiddos and a senior dog, however he may require and quieter setting with someone who has the patience and love to help this little guy grow calmer and feel safe. With him being sort of skittish it’s been virtually impossible to brush him so again he needs someone who’s willing to work on that with him or that can afford grooming with his long fur! Please message me with any questions, I’m looking for the best home possible for skittles he deserves it ❤️

Story
This was my friend Vinnie's cat; however, his living situation had changed so he could no longer keep him. So I have been taking care of him. However my landlord says I can only have one cat, so I can no longer keep him and he has no place to go. So I am trying to find a good home for him. He is super friendly and affectionate. He loves to lay on you and knead, and just rub up against you when he wants pets. I have been keeping him indoors but he might be ok going outside.

Story
Ideal Home: A cozy space filled with toys, treats, and people who can’t resist a playful, fluffy companion.Personality: Playful, affectionate, energetic.Eight-month-old Carrot Cake is just as sweet as his name! This handsome long-haired boy spends his days chasing toys, climbing cat towers, and showing off his impressive zoomies. He’s bursting with personality and has just the right amount of kitten energy to keep life fun.Carrot Cake loves attention, enjoys being pet, and is always happy to soak up affection. He’s also very food-motivated — snacks and treats are a sure way to win his heart (and maybe a few extra purrs). He would be perfectly content as a solo cat or sharing his home with other friendly felines. As a CATalyst kitten, Carrot Cake is already making a difference by helping other animals in need. Two paws up for this fluffy little superstar! 🐾Think he might be your perfect match? Carrot Cake is now accepting adoption applications!___________________________CATalyst cats:At Ten Lives, we believe in saving the most at-risk cats of our community. Many times, these cats require extraordinary medical care and extensive stays in their foster homes before they are ready for adoption. But we don’t think time or money should ever get in the way of a cat receiving the care they deserve! To help us care for these cats, we have increased fees for other cats who are in high demand–such cats aid us in catalyzing change within our community. When you adopt a CATalyst cat, you aren’t just providing a forever home for them; you’re helping many other cats at Ten Lives, like our Forgotten Felines!Thank you for allowing us to continue our life-saving work!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
