MEET CLEO!*My adoption fee is waived* Gives Kisses! Check out her fab videos! VOTED 2024 CAT OF THE YEAR by ARL Volunteers and StaffCleo is undeniably gorgeous and joy to be around. She`s a real character and everyone who meets her remarks on her wonderful curious and fun-loving personality. Perhaps Cleo also knows she`s beautiful as she loves to strut around and be part of wherever the action is, often `posing` on just about any surface and sashaying around with her impressively floofy tail held high. Cleo really likes people; in fact, we`ve discovered she`s a lap cat and loves to give kisses! When Cleo arrived, she was being treated for diabetes with insulin and a special diet, which will need to be continued in her new forever home. Come and meet Cleo - she is waiting to meet her public at our Dedham shelter! Cleo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, is spayed, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Cleo or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Cleo Likes Laps!

MEET BLUEBELL! - I am in a foster home please make an appointment to meet me!Bluebell flew to New England on a transport from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. Bluebell is very playful, she loves chasing stuffed mice and bringing them to you, she will loudly cry for your attention to show you her catch! She is a professional biscuit maker and sometimes will drool on the blanket while doing so. She tolerates being picked up but she will try to jump down almost immediately. She isn`t super affectionate or cuddly, but still likes to be around her fosters and will sit on or around us on the couch or in bed. Bluebell would benefit from a low traffic, cat experienced home because she is very skittish and gets easily spooked with sudden movements or noises. She may even do well with a social feline friend at home to help her adjust!Bluebell is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
Lincoln - Available for Adoption Lincoln is a super sweet boy who unfortunately got dealt a bad hand earlier in life. He was known to have been eating at a feral cat feeding station for at least several months before he was trapped and brought to the vet. His paws were dirty, his long fur was matted and unkempt, and his poor ears bore numerous scars, no doubt from tussles with the other local tomcats - which meant it wasn't very surprising when he also tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Shortly after his neuter and initial vet care, Lincoln became very sick. He had bad diarrhea and suddenly couldn't keep food down. His condition rapidly worsened and he required emergency veterinary care. Bloodwork revealed he was anemic and had a dangerously low platelet count. Further diagnostics were inconclusive, so a barrage of medications were prescribed in the hope that something would do the trick. Miraculously, Lincoln seems to have made a complete recovery! Follow up bloodwork showed his platelet count was still low, but nowhere near as bad as before. And, of course, he still has FIV, so he'll be more susceptible to other illnesses in the future. Being sick, however, never diminished Lincoln's spirit. He is a very affectionate and outgoing gentleman (he charmed the pants off everyone at the ER!) who is always eager for human interaction. He loves to be pet and even held. He would do well as a family pet; according to Lincoln, the math is simple: more humans = more attention!! Lincoln is doing amazing in his foster home. He is a super sweet guy. He loves to be your loyal companion and will follow you wherever you go. He spends most of his time asking for treats by doing a little vertical stretch, and lounging around the apartment. In his free time, he likes to chase balls around and purr at maximum volume. Lincoln is estimated to be three years old and a handsome domestic long hair polydactyl. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and negative for FeLV. Given his FIV+ status and his known medical history, his new family should be fully prepared for future veterinary expenses. Story
Leo is a handsome, sweet, fluffy long long-haired male orange tiger. He was rescued from an over-population situation at a local barn. He will be a great indoor pet. He is approximately 3 to 4 years old. (born ~9/2020) Leo will be shy at first when meeting new people, but will soon seek out your lap for a few pets and brushes. He loves to be brushed and pampered, but his favorite is to receive treats. He is a great bird watcher and will lie in his favorite bed or on top of a cat tower, watching all the activity outside. He is a very fancy lounge kitty - he will sprawl out and air out his belly - it’s adorable! He is very playful and gets very excited about interactive toy play with a wand toy. He would do well as an only cat or with another cat and no young kids. Prior to a vet visit, Leo will require medications you can get from your vet to ease his anxiety. Leo will make a great addition to any family. All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you want to meet him or her, please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our website at www.angelcathaven.com. Story
Sylvester is a handsome, funny, and affectionate short-haired male orange and white tiger. He was rescued from an over-population situation at a local barn. He will be a great indoor pet. He is approximately 3-4 years old (born ~9/2020). Sylvester is very nosy, and enjoys. a cat that enjoys supervising other kitties and humans. He’s known as a diva - he loves getting his picture taken, playing with string boys, being brushed, and eating Churro treats right out of the tube - while you hold it for him! Sylvester loves all humans and kitty friends and welcomes anyone who walks through the door. It takes him a few minutes to warm up to new people, but he enjoys any attention that comes his way. Sylvester would do best in a home that can provide him the attention that a diva deserves. Ideally, he would do best as a single cat or with another friendly cat and no young kids. Prior to a vet visit, Sylvester will require medications you can get from your vet to ease his anxiety. He would be a great addition to your home! All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ninja is approximately 10 years old and is in great health. He is bonded with Lightning whom he has raised from a kitten. He comes from a loving home where he has lived his whole life. He is kind and affectionate and gets along well with other cats but has never been around dogs. He spends most of his time outside and only comes in to eat and nap. He has to be rehomed because his owner died and the house is being sold and I am at capacity with cats at my condo. I am hoping to find Ninja and Lightning a new loving home where Ninja will be allowed to come in and go out whenever he likes because being outside is everything to him. If there was a pet door for unrestricted access to the outdoors that would be ideal. I am hoping his new owners understand the importance of his bond with Lightning and love him. All his shots will be up to date if he is adopted.
