We Adopted Spooky from HSSV 2 years back when she was 7-8 week old. She loves to get pets but on her own terms. her coat is beautiful. We adopted Spooky 2 years back. Ebony is a really sweet kitty looking for her forever home. She’s still fairly young and active and when she gets the zoomies, watch out! She spends the majority of her days resting and looking out the windows, but she also enjoys playing with laser toys, wand toys, and anything that moves. Ebony enjoys pets and comes up to cuddle when she feels like it, but she is not a clingy cat. Her personality combined with her soft fur makes her a lovely companion for anyone. Ebony was found on the streets of San Jose with her litter of four kittens. I took them in soon after when the kittens were around four weeks old and she took care of them until we adopted out the kittens at 8 and 12 weeks. Now she’s looking for her forever family to relax after raising a rambunctious litter. Ebony would do well in multiple different home environments. Her playfulness would do well with kids over the age of three, but her sweet side would also compliment someone with a slower pace. She also gets along with all of the cats that I have fostered, so I know she’ll do well with any cat she meets. No special needs. She is now spayed and has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Her only quirk is that she really loves human food, but she’s not in your face about it. She waits patiently for you to finish and will take any scraps that you’ll give her. I’ve been avoiding giving her most food and just let her have a few licks of my plate, but I’m sure that can be trained out of her. I used to live in Kansas City, with my first owner, some other cats, and a dog. Unfortunately, these other pets used to bully me! So, in 2021 (when I was 8), my first owner found me a new home with her trusted friend. I have now enjoyed five happy years with my current owner, as her first and only cat. We even moved together to the Bay Area. However, my owner has recently welcomed a first baby, so things at home have gotten much busier and more crowded. I am now looking for a new home where I can enjoy my quieter senior years with some loving attention, peacefulness, and a little fun enrichment if you have the time. When Kyle decides you're her person, she's all in - nuzzling into you, curling up in your lap, and coming to find you when she wants cuddles and pets. Thirteen years in, she knows exactly who she is: a sweet, devoted companion with a feisty streak.Kyle is what cat people lovingly call spicy. When she's overstimulated or her space is invaded, she'll say so with a scratch or a nip. She's on Prozac and it's helping a lot - she's noticeably gentler, and the scratching and biting are much less frequent. She needs a patient, cat-savvy person who can read her signals and give her room when she asks for it. In return you get a loyal, affectionate cat who loves deeply on her own terms.Her story is a love story. Kyle was adopted in Atlanta around 2014 by two roommates who fostered her, fell for her one-of-a-kind personality, and made her family. She's been with one of her original adopters ever since, moving from Atlanta to California, San Francisco to San Diego. These days she shares her home with two toddlers, and the noise and chaos of a busy household has become too much for her - she started scratching and biting, sometimes unprovoked, which isn't safe for her or the kids. This is a heartbreaking, loving rehoming, not a bad cat: in a calm environment, her soft side shines.A few important things:- Kyle is FeLV+. It hasn't caused her any medical issues, but she needs to be your only cat, or live only with other FeLV+ cats.- She needs a calm, adult-only home, or one with older children who understand and respect a cat's boundaries.
