Story
Meet Teddy Grant – The Fearless Big Brother with a Heart of Gold Teddy Grant is a striking black-and-white medium-haired boy with a personality as bold as his markings. This little guy is fearless and endlessly curious, always ready to explore, investigate, and dive headfirst into whatever adventure the day brings. Teddy is a social butterfly who adores both cats and dogs. He’s the ultimate “big brother” in his foster home—grooming his younger foster siblings, watching over them, and joining every cuddle puddle he can find. When he’s not zooming around with his boundless energy, he melts into the sweetest snugglebug. Once he’s tired, he loves being held and insists on pets that require both your hands—because one simply isn’t enough for this affectionate boy. As with all kittens under five months, Teddy must be adopted with a foster mate or another young kitten to help him grow into a confident, well-socialized cat.  Playful, loving, and full of charm, Teddy Grant is the perfect mix of spirited fun and gentle sweetness. If you’re looking for a kitten who brings joy, companionship, and a whole lot of love, Teddy is ready to be your brave little shadow and your best friend. Story
Meet Ophelia – A Blue-Eyed Panther with a Poetic Soul Ophelia is a breathtaking medium-haired panther kitten with mesmerizing blue-green eyes that seem to hold a thousand stories. Named after Fate of Ophelia, she carries a quiet elegance and a touch of mystery—but don’t be fooled by her dreamy gaze. This little panther is just as much a lover as she is a (play)fighter. She’ll curl up in your lap like a velvet shadow, purring softly as she soaks in your affection. But when the toys come out, Ophelia transforms into a fierce little whirlwind—leaping, pouncing, and showing off her playful spirit with every move. Ophelia is looking for a forever home where she can be adopted with one of her beloved siblings—Miso, Indy, Elizabeth Taylor, or Showgirl—to help her grow into a confident, well-socialized cat. Together, they’ll bring balance, joy, and a whole lot of heart to your home. If you’re ready for a kitten who’s equal parts poetry and play, Ophelia is waiting to write her next chapter with you.  If you are interested in adopting Ophelia, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 50 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Meet Watermelon, the medium-haired Torbie with the sweetest heart and just a touch of diva sparkle! Her beautiful coat combines the classic tortoiseshell swirl of black and orange with the distinctive tabby stripes, making her a truly unique and eye-catching feline. Watermelon is incredibly affectionate and thrives on attention – she loves to be pampered with cuddles and long petting sessions on her terms, of course. When she's not charming her humans with her sweetness, she's likely exploring her surroundings with a curious and playful spirit, enjoying interactive toys and perhaps even showing off her agility with some climbing adventures. While she appreciates a peaceful environment and loves a cozy spot in the sun for naps, Watermelon's vibrant personality also shines through in her spirited meows and expressive communication. She's known to "converse" with her humans, especially when it's time for dinner or when she has something important to convey. She subsists with other cats fine but is a queen and expects space and deference by all other furry beings.  Don't let her delicate looks fool you; Watermelon possesses a bold and confident streak, perfectly befitting her Torbie heritage. If you're looking for a striking and engaging companion with a personality as beautiful as her coat, Watermelon might just be the purrfect addition to your home! Today is your lucky day! It just happens that the perfect kitten is looking for his forever family! That’s me, GEORGE! Seriously, I check off ALL of the kitten boxes—including using the litter box! I’ll entertain you for ages with my antics. I love to run around and play with toys, chase my foster siblings, wrestle, and climb. I would love it if I went to a home with another kitty to play with. I’m good natured enough that I will probably get along well with a dog, as long as I get a proper introduction (and the dog is cat-friendly, of course). And after I make you laugh with all my running around and playing, I love nothing better than to find a lap to curl up on for a much-needed snooze. After all, a kitten’s gotta recharge! So, are you ready for an adorable new Bestie? Then, let’s get to know each other! Contact Best Friend Pet Adoption and let them know you want to meet George! Story
Spooky is a loving, social kitty who has recently retired from mom life. She was found earlier this summer protecting her 5 tiny kittens in a crawlspace. She grew to love the indoors and her humans over the months and now cannot soak up enough attention! She loves greeting her humans as soon as they wake up to let them know how much she missed them. During the day, she can be found climbing into someone's lap, looking for affection. Her absolute favorite game is "stick-n-mat" where she will go into full hunting mode to chase a broken toy stick hidden underneath a placemat. Her second favorite toy is a fuzzy jingle mouse- she'll carry those up the stairs and meow to make sure everyone knows what she's caught. Wherever she goes, she's sure to bring her fluffy, sky-high tail and her curious green eyes with her. She loves snuggling up with her 6 month old kittens that are not yet adopted, Luci and Orzo, or playing with the resident cats at her foster home. Spooky gets along with other cats very well, but would also love being an only-cat with plenty of attention from her human family.
