Story
Born approx. 12/31/23, Meet Ella, the soft medium-haired grey and white kitten who's equal parts charm, personality, and sass. With a purrfect blend of sweetness and spunk, Ella wins hearts effortlessly. She's not just good with other cats and dogs; she thrives in their company. But what sets her apart is her affinity for teenagers, whom she adores more than their parents. Ella isn't just a pet; she's a furry best friend who adds a dash of delight to every moment.

Story
Cane is a sweet, gentle cat who came to our rescue from a high-kill shelter in 2020, along with another kitty named Bane (adopted). At first, Cane was very fearful of people and would keep to himself or hide whenever visitors were around. But with time, he’s gradually learned to trust and has built up enough confidence to venture out from our Shy Cat area to mingle with visitors, albeit from a safe distance. It’s very clear from Cane’s body language that he’s right on the cusp of taking that next step and maybe allowing a gentle pet or two. Cane would love nothing more than to find a quiet, supportive home with understanding caretakers who are willing to let him bloom on his own terms and pace. We aren’t sure how he’d do around dogs, but he gets along fine with the other cats at the Goathouse and would likely not mind sharing a home with another easy-going, non-dominant cat. Approx. Story
Chucky is a brown tabby kitty was found wandering all by himself. A concerned neighbor found him and brought him to the Refuge. Chucky is a really good boy who likes to play with the feather-teaser or wiggle-worm (he tries to steal them & run off, so you gotta hold on tight!). He also plays with Anna (the orange & white tabby girl with one eye) and is like her gentle big brother when she gets spicy with him! He's starting to trust the volunteers a little more now and will sniff a hand when it's gently held close to him. We know he wants to interact more but he's just a little nervous, so he needs time and patience in a quiet, loving home and he will shine! We highly recommend visiting with him and getting to know his sweet personality! Approx. DOB: 10/30/20201) Complete our online adoption application: Visit www.goathouserefuge.org/adoption-application/ to get started! 2) Arrange to visit the cat(s) in person3) Complete a home visit: Once you confirm that you've visited in person with the cat(s) of interest and completed the online application, your responses will be reviewed by the refuge staff so that a volunteer member of our home visit team can contact you to schedule a visit. Only after a representative of the refuge has visited the applicant's home will the refuge consider continuing with the adoption process.

Story
Katty (aka Fluffy Tail) is a beautiful, ear-tipped tabby with a gorgeous, flowing tail. She arrived at Goathouse Refuge on April 14th and is looking for her forever home. She was a friendly stray that made great process in trusting the humans that took to feeding her. She also made friends with all the neighborhood cats and could even been seen taking an interest in the possums and raccoons at night, so she would do well in a home with other animals. She is a sweetheart that enjoys neck scratches and playing with balls and stuffed toys. She is still shy and would need time to warm up, trust and learn to be a lap cat, but she was well on her way to becoming a loving house cat. Come meet this sweet girl and be mesmerized by her beauty!DOB 4/1/2020"Sponsored" means that Katty's adoption fee has been covered in full by a generous donor. That means you can take her home for free, and spend that saved adoption fee on more food, litter, and toys for your new friend! Story
Hera is a little shy and she's looking for her forever home. She would love to be adopted with one of her kitty friends near her age. Come out to the Refuge to see if pretty Hera or one of her kitty friends is the kitty you have been looking for to make you the lucky one! Approx.
