Story
Penelope is a very sweet, independent kitty. She loves occasional pets and grooming, but wanders off when she’s had enough, and prefers to sleep alone. She is very gentle, calm, and quiet, and would rather bask in the sun than play. She would do well in a quiet home without other kitties. $100 adoption fee per cat. Hardest part of rescue is: - Not being able to save every cat. - Finding excellent homes for our rescues. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, 2023 Adoption Application - Google Forms or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information. We do not have a shelter. All our rescues are in foster homes. The $100 adoption fee per cat insures that all cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, vaccinated for FVRCP (feline distemper), dewormed, and have been treated for fleas.

Story
Oliver is a great mouser, hates car rides to the vet but still loves you at the end. We helped wised them with there Mama kitty and she taught them to hunt. They became independent but cry for affection because they think we will let them inside the house but they are just spoiled sometimes with the babying but who can help it maybe they will grow out of it. Oliver is the one more curious to come say hi, and cry about things.

Story
What my friends at Oregon Humane Society say about me: - I have been known to shower my favorite people with love. - I have the cutest meow! Come listen to me chirp and sing. - I am not a first-time cat owner kind of cat. Someone very familiar with feline body language is a must for me.The type of home I'm looking for: - I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. - I would prefer to be the only cat in the home. - It could be you! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mìmir showed up as a stray, intact male. I took time to build trust with him and took him to the vet to get him neutered last December (2021). The vet guessed that he was 2 years old, at best, so he's about 3 now. He's very affectionate and will follow his person wherever they go. Mìmir makes big biscuits and is a serious cuddler. He also really loves to play. Unfortunately, he doesn't get along with our 2 male tabbies (technically, he did, but our boys don't get along with him at ALL)...though he DOES get along with our young female, even if she isn't really into him. Not sure what his reaction to dogs or kids would be, but he takes being picked up well.
