Story
Berry showed up on my back porch a couple years ago. I wasn't really looking to take care of another living thing as I was already having trouble taking care of myself, but I've never had the heart to turn away a stray animal so I fed him and pet him and eventually he started to stick around. It didn't take long before he was spending all day, every day curled up in my lap. Over the last few years our bond has grown and in retrospect he proved to be an exceptionally loving companion when I needed one most. However, sadly I've reached a point in my life where I need to move and I won't be able to take him with me. It kills me to let him go but I take comfort in knowing that what he did for me he will now be able to do for another. He truly is an angel and deserves the best, and I hope whoever takes him in will be able to give him as much love as he has given me.

Story
Hello, I'm Sammy. I'm a bit shy, but once I get to know you, I promise to be your loyal companion. I'm young, mellow, and gentle. I have a condition called wobbly cat syndrome. It makes me a bit unsteady, but it doesn't stop me from loving life and other cats. I'm really good at making feline friends. I'm a little quiet, but I have a big heart. I'd love to find a home where I can be myself, and where my wobbly walk is seen as a part of my charm. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will listen, purr, and offer unconditional love although I do need patience to learn to love and trust you. I may be a little different, but I believe it's our differences that make us special. Could you be the special person for a special cat like me? Sammy requires a quiet household and needs another very cat cuddly cat sibling to give her confidence and that she can learn from.   She has mild CH, which means she wobbles when "walks" but it doesn't stop her from getting around and she doesn't have any head tremors or bobbles.  She can eat and drink just fine and uses a litter box!   Sammy needs a small space to decompress and a loving owner who understands she needs patience.  She will lay in you lap or cuddle with another cat on the couch alll night in front of the TV!   She was previously feral and didn't know the kindness and of human touch until she was trapped to get her safe from the outdoors.   it took her several months to relax and learn that we are her friends and the soft touch of human love.    She is making HUGE strides daily!    Because of her shy self, she probably would not do well with small or active children.  ##2010071##

***By appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, Rescueme.org or directly e-mail us at shelter@hbpets.org** Meet Zelda, she is a 4yrs old, medium haired, spayed female. Zelda was with us a year ago, she arrived with her sister and brother. Zelda was adopted very quickly as is a social butterfly, loves humans and children. Her amazing adopters tried for a year to get their resident cat and Zelda to get a long, they tried everything, but after a year it was just clear these two cats would never make peace. Zelda would prefer a home either with no cats or a gentle male cat, she loves dogs who give her space, she loves all humans and children of all ages. Adoption fee $100. *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Cats are avaible to visit Thursday-Saturday 10am-4:00pm. 2. Story
Macaroon, or as we call her Rooney, is an extremely sweet and loving cat. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle next to you or in your lap unfortunately we are no longer able to give her the attention she needs and deserves. Her polydactyl extra toes make her paws look like mittens and make her extra special and even cuter. We love her dearly and hope we can find her a home where she can get all the snuggles and love she needs.

Story
I got Starlord from Sherwood Cat Rescue in 2018. He is a very sweet cat that is really good with other animals. He knows how to use a litter box but I have a pet door and he actually goes outside now. I am in the process of moving up to Washington and I am unable to bring him with me. I really just want to find him a good, loving home.
