This handsome boy came to us along with his buddies Uno and Dos in January 2024 and is looking for a quiet home to call his own. Olaf is one of our more skittish kittens at this time but we know with the right amount of patience and time, he will blossom into a wonderful cat! We do believe Olaf would do best in a home with another cat to keep him company and help boost his confidence. Olaf is a lot of talk when it comes to him being surprised and will do little hisses until he realizes that you are not going to hurt him. He likes gentle, slow pets and does not mind being picked up as long as it is on his own terms. A quiet home with not a lot of activity would be the best fit for Olaf until he learns that the world is not as scary as he thought! He is slowly starting to show little bits of his personality here with us and staff and volunteers can occasional catch him tussling with one of his siblings or playing with toys. Kingsley is royally playful and majestically cute. As confident as he is cuddly, Kingsley is ready to be the best cat in the house. He gets along well with other cats, but will need a tolerant friend who loves to wrestle. Kingsley seems to prefer soft toys that he can bite and scratch over balls. Due to his rougher play style, any children in the home need to be used to kitten shenanigans. Kingsley will need frequent brushing. He always used his litter box in his foster home and loved to sit on laps and get petted.

Morticia arrived at the shelter with her litter of kittens and was in foster care until they were ready to find forever homes to call their own. Morticia prefers a quiet home where she can be the queen bee. She enjoys attention but likes it to be on her terms. She would love to find her loving forever home soon! She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, FIV/Felv tested, and microchipped since her arrival at the shelter.

  So many stories in the rescue world about cats and they all seem to have the same start all too often and too sad.  This stunning grey tabby and white boy is called Chester, he is just barely one year of age and born to a stray momma cat.  Living outdoors all his life, his momma brought him and his littermates to a family house where she hoped to be fed and to care for her litter born outside a home.  Somehow her 4 kittens survived and here is Chester to prove that miracles can happen for these lost and forgotten mommas and their babies.  Chester is now a very handsome 13 pound boy that has been invited inside a foster home and is being given the wide berth to relax and make himself at home as a pampered and well fed adult cat.  He’s still super shy and will hide a lot under the bed, but he is starting to come out for some play time and chin scratches.  In just 4 days he has made such strides and advancements to allow toys to entice him to come out several times without fear and allow his new foster mom Joyce to pet him and given him chin rubs.  He is learning to be petted and to trust this new foster mom.  He and his littermates are all grown up but very young and they are getting better with the litterbox training and are eating with a hearty appetite.  We feel that time and patience will see Chester and his siblings stay out from under a bed or in hiding more and more as they learn they are safe and have a promise of food and love every day for the rest of their life.  If you are interested in helping Chester learn daily how to receive love and be happy with being touched, then please email us and ask to foster him or adopt him.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com we are anxious to find a capable home to love him all the way. When you think of the many beautiful cats that God has created with his palette of many colors, you must think of our gorgeous Torti girl named Lavergne and maybe even her sister Shirley who looks much like her.   Lavergne plays so well with other cats and is OK with dogs.  Truth be known, the current dogs in her foster home are enormous and overpowering for her small little self.  If you are looking for some nostalgia … please consider adopting both sisters....Lavergne and Shirley who we know will make you smile!
