Aptly named for her luxurious tortie coat, Miss Kitty Fluffington is a sweetly shy cat looking for a quiet home with a patient, understanding adopter. She came to the Frederick shelter as an unsocialized stray with two kittens. We brought her into our foster program to give her time to raise her kittens, and she was a wonderful mom, giving her little ones lots of love and trusting her foster caretakers enough to allow them to socialize her kittens. The kittens found a wonderful home together, and now it's Miss Kitty's turn. She's made a lot of progress in her own socialization. She greets her foster mom with happy, excited meows, enjoys being petted, and loves their daily play sessions. But Miss Kitty is still shy with unfamiliar people so needs an adopter who can provide her with a safe, quiet environment and patiently earn her trust. Miss Kitty is spayed, current on vaccinations, felv/fiv negative and microchipped.

Abella is a beautiful, mixed-breed (Ragdoll, Main Coon, Broadly Western - we have her DNA results if the new owner is interested), medium long-haired cat with very big paws. She is very vocal and sure of herself and loves to lounge. She was adopted from a Humane Society in Tacoma, Washington when she was 3 months old. She was rescued when she was only a couple weeks old and never really learned how to properly socialize with other cats or people. She gets a bit confused as to how to appropriately get your attention (hence the yelling and sometimes swiping). She isnt the most cuddly kitty, but does enjoy being close to people she loves, walking outside, and sunbathing. Honestly, Abella is pretty grumpy. She knows what she likes and sticks to it. She doesnt like guests or company, she doesnt much like kids, and doesnt like other pets. She will be 8 years old in August, making her a senior. She would make a great companion for an adult person(s) with no young children or other pets.
