Story
Snowdrop's adoption fee is sponsored for an approved adopter! Meet Snowdrop, the charming 7-year-old kitty with a heart as pure as her snowy white (and black!) fur. Snowdrop is seeking an adoptive home where she can share her boundless love and affection. Snowdrop's temperament is as sweet as can be. She adores snuggling up with her favorite blankies, indulging in delicious meals, and basking in grooming sessions Despite her special needs, including bladder and bowel expressions 2-3 times a day, Snowdrop's gentle nature and loving personality shine through. She thrives on routine care, including full or half baths with assistance using the litter box, and her area fur trim helps her stay clean and comfortable. Remarkably calm during face washes and nail trims, Snowdrop's purrs of contentment will melt your heart. Additionally, Snowdrop is on a prescription diet and medication for seizures three times a day.Snowdrop currently lives with other cats and does well, but she would also be perfectly content as the sole feline companion in your home. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loving companion, Snowdrop is eagerly waiting to become your forever snuggle buddy. We are dedicated to Snowdrop's success and want to ensure that she thrives in her adoptive home. She is available for adoption or foster-to-adopt! ___________________________Ten Lives’ Foster-to-Adopt program gives potential adopters the opportunity to interact and bond with a cat in a home setting prior to making a lifelong commitment. This program is a great way to see a cat’s true personality and watch how they integrate into your household. Please note, only cats listed as foster-to-adopt are eligible for this program. How does it work?Foster-to-Adopt applicants are approved through our normal adoption process and based on the specific needs of the cat. Once approved, you will bring home your new friend and have 30 days to determine whether they are a perfect fit for you and your family. During the 30-day foster-to-adopt period, you will be responsible for providing food and litter; however, Ten Lives will provide outstanding veterinary care at a partner veterinarian. Please note: Ten Lives will not cover care provided by a non-partner veterinarian. Please take this into consideration when submitting a foster-to-adopt application. At the end of the 30 days, you can make the adoption official by signing an adoption agreement and paying the adoption fee or you can return the cat to the care of Ten Lives. If you wish to continue fostering until adoption, Ten Lives will list the cat for adoption on their website and social media pages! Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in fostering-to-adopt from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/foster-to-adopt/___________________________ABOUT TEN LIVES:Ten Lives is a foster-based program and does NOT have a brick and mortar facility with regular visiting hours. We are a 100% volunteer-powered organization and require an approved adoption application prior to scheduling meet and greets with animals. This is out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, as well as helping to ensure our animals are matched to the homes that best meet their needs. We require that all applicants have a satisfactory veterinary reference and provide proof of homeownership OR landlords approval. We will contact all applicants who meet our minimum requirements within 96 business hours of receiving your application. During kitten season wait times may be longer. We ask for your patience as we are all volunteers! All Ten Lives cats are spayed/neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
**ADOPT FEE NEGOTIABLE**Hello all, I sadly need to rehome my cat. He does not get along well with our elderly cat and we are currently expecting our second child. He needs all the attention he can get, and unfortunately he is not getting the attention he needs and so well deserves. Sinatra is estimated to be about 4-5 years old. He was found in the woods under his deceased mother around April 2019 (we believe she died during birth) and I took him and bottle fed him until he was able to eat cat food. I’m not sure how well Sinatra does with dogs and children. We have a small child but he just runs away from her. Sinatra eats dry food only, not much of a treat eater or a wet food eater. He is a big orange cat. We have tried to get him on diet food, etc but will not eat it. We just want him to go to a good safe home with great people. I only ask if Sinatra gets adopted, if we can get a photo of him every once in a while. Any other questions I will be happy to answer. Thank you.

Story
Salem is part of a bonded pair. He was born 4/20/23. His brother is Darryl. They’ve been together since Salem was about 3 months old. They play together famously. Like Darryl, Salem needs room to run and play, indoors only. He is slightly shy around new faces but warms quickly.

Adoption Donation  $ 299    Located: RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast, plz ask for more details) Age: 4 months old as of 12/30/23 Coloré is a princess who would rather lie down in a warm lap than deal with whatever nonsense Stipuleé and the boys are up to. She prefers to let others do the investigation and follow their lead when she knows the coast is clear. While she's still a playful goofball when she wants to be, she's calmer than her siblings and doesn't instigate wrestling as much. Coloré is definitely the baby girl of the group.   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:      100irishrose@gmail.com readiness of this cat with us.  Because we save lives from various locations throughout the United States, some cats may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur.
