Story
These two are from the same litter. Sisters! They have never been apart. They are sweet and affectionate. They love each other!! They live for treats. They eat twice a day, and sleep in between. I have recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I am not able to continue caring for them. It will kill me to see them go. I don’t have another choice. Please consider them both. I couldn’t split them up and expect them to be happy and comfortable. Thank you.

Story
Chaucer & Betty might not be litter-mates, but they certainly are bffs! Both cats are about 2 years old, and are looking for an adult-only home (that is going remain adult-only). Betty is spunky and curious. She's always the first one to investigate anything new at her foster home, and is a mighty hunter of feathered toys and any poor bug that happens to cross her path! She's the perfect mix of sassy and sweet. Chaucer is sweet and shy to start, but is such a loving boy. He loves playing with fishing pole toys and burrowing under blankets. At Chaucer's first vet visit we found he had a heart murmur, then his cardiologist found the reason is because he has a hole in his heart. But his recent cardiologist visit showed only minimal progression, and possibly even a little closing of the hole! With once daily medicine (a pill which he takes very easily in a pill pocket treat) and a low sodium diet (non prescription), his cardiologist believes he may very well lead a normal life! Chaucer will just need to have an ultrasound of his heart yearly to keep tabs on any changes. If you're interested in giving Chaucer & Betty a home together, please fill out an application! If you're reading this ad, we're still accepting applications! The first step to meeting them and adoption is to fill out an application here: APPLICATION --> https://tinyurl.com/yvys3tnr Application Process: 1) Fill out an application 2) We will call your vet for a reference (if you have or had pets--PLEASE CALL YOUR VET TO GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO TALK TO US!) 3) If we think you might be a good match for any of our cats, we'll contact you to chart further. Adoption fee is $300 for the pair. All our cats have had an exam, are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLv tested, microchipped, and dewormed.

Story
💚 Meet Emerald- a rare gem gleaming with sparkle! 💚Emerald is a 1-year old charming, sweet, and playful girl who is excited for her next chapter . She loves to play, get lots of chin and cheek scratches (unless she’s too busy playing!) She is still learning how to accept affection from humans but making amazing progress. She isn’t really shy, she’s actually quite brave and curious, but she needs someone who will go slow and be understanding of her boundaries. For now, she prefers soft voices and and calm surroundings as she continues to show off her glowing purr-sonality.  As an FeLV+ cat, she will need to be an only cat or with another FeLV+ cat, but will also do just fine on her own.Emerald is ready to shine in her forever home where she can be spoiled and loved. If you think you could be her match, fill out an application today!FELV is a virus that affects cats. It can not be passed onto humans or dogs. Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Jax is a loving cat. He’s very cuddly and friendly to known and unfamiliar faces. He loves to eat and lounge. However, there are a few things of note before consideration. He can be very vocal (meow) at times and the hour can vary. He does scratch furniture although there are scratch pads accessible. He will get on counters and kitchen table and lay although he has been redirected since a kitten. He loves to be very close with his caretaker and will want to sleep on your bed. He’s currently a little overweight and needs weight management. I haven’t been too successful due to him living with two other cats. He currently eats Acana dry cat food which is more on the expensive side. I buy 10lb bags for around $42 each. He is now due for a rabies shot and all other required vaccinations. I will not be getting him vaccinated which is why I’m not charging a fee for the adoption. As I receive applications I will reach out to discuss all details further. Thank you!
