Story
Meet Vader 🖤 Vader is a sweet, loving cat that may be shy at first but will lean into pets. Vader may start out a bit reserved, but once she feels safe, she warms up into a very sweet companion. She has lived with other cats in the past and could do well with feline friends again, as long as introductions are slow and respectful. Because she’s sensitive, cat savvy children who understand giving her space are a must. This quiet girl would thrive in a mellow, low key home where she can relax at her own pace and build trust. ⭐ If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and stop by during our open hours! ⭐

Story
🖤 Meet Ashen — a soul as gentle as his heart 🖤Ashen is a stunning panther estimated to be around 13 years old who is looking for a soft spot to land in his golden years. With an adorable white patch on his chest and thoughtful eyes, he is an affectionate and gentle boy who brings calm and comfort to those around him.Ashen enjoys the simple things in life — long catnaps, a full bowl of food, and love from his human. After too many years outside, he’s ready to relax indoors, watching the birds and daily soap operas with someone special. Even at 13, he still enjoys wand toys and a little catnip as part of his peaceful routine.Ashen is looking for a home where he can receive plenty of love and pets while living his best, coziest life. He is currently eating a prescription kidney-support diet and is doing well on it. He has also recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and has started medication. He is hard of hearing, but that certainly doesn’t stop him from knowing when the squirrels are rustlin’ outside his window. Ashen has a few age-related health items that will need ongoing monitoring, including blood pressure, a mild heart murmur, and dental care down the road, but these will be managed as part of his routine veterinary care after adoption. In return, he offers soft purrs, gentle companionship, and the sweetest wet nose boops. If you’re ready to give this lovable senior the comfortable, loving home he deserves, please fill out an application today. 🖤___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Eve is a stunning cat looking for a foster or forever home. She is a 3 year old, female, Torbie mix. She has absolutely mesmerizing green eyes and a gorgeous personality to match. She’s quite the conversationalist and loves to “chat” with staff and volunteers, making her presence known with sweet commentary and expressive looks. She would adore a home where she can have a window to lay near or a cozy perch to stretch out and soak in the sun. Eve seems to tolerate some other cats, but she would likely be happiest as the queen of her castle, where she can enjoy all the attention and peace for herself. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, expressive companion who will keep you company and fill your home with quiet conversation and sunshine, Eve is your girl.  ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Story
🌰 Meet Hazel – Beautiful, Bashful, and All About Her Fellow Felines Hazel is a stunning 3.5-year-old torbie with a heart that beats strongest for her fellow cats. Trapped as an older kitten, Hazel missed out on early human socialization—but she’s made strides at the shelter and continues to blossom at her own pace. She’s not a lap cat (and might never be), but she is the kind of cat who will light up at the sight of a laser pointer, pounce with enthusiasm on feather toys, and thrive in the company of other cats. Hazel is a true "cat's cat"—she loves to snuggle, follow, and play with her feline friends. Hazel is looking for a very special adopter: someone with patience, compassion, and a quiet home where she can continue to learn that people aren’t so scary. She’ll need to start off in a crate while she adjusts and will take time (and possibly treat bribes) to get comfortable. Right now, petting is reserved for mealtimes, and that may always be the case—but if you’ve got the heart to love a work-in-progress, Hazel is worth the wait. She’d do best in a home with another outgoing and confident cat who can show her the ropes and help her feel safe. With the right feline buddy and a human who understands her boundaries, Hazel has a real shot at growing into the confident cat she was meant to be. Do you have room in your heart for a shy beauty who just needs a little extra time and a lot of love? Hazel’s waiting. 💛 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! If this post is still up, we are still accepting applications for this cat(s)/kitten(s). There's no need to email us about availability, just submit an application if you're interested! For more information about our adoption process, please visit our website: https://scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/about-adoption/ All adoption fees include: - Spay/neuter surgery Adoption Process - Microchip - Rabies and distemper vaccinations - Proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing - Flea treatment & deworming - A veterinary exam Please Note: Scruffy Paws operates by appointment only and is not open to the public.
