Story
URGENT! Our sweet Newt needs a sweet forever home where he can get the love and attention he deserves. I adopted him a few months ago before my husband and I were diagnosed with different cancers. We are in our 60’s and 70’s and caring for him is difficult as we navigate our treatments. He's currently 9 months old and is fairly active. He would fit in perfectly with someone that has time on their hands. Due to our ongoing health issues, our home is not the best for this sweet boy and it’s becoming difficult to take care of him, my husband and myself. I’d rather not surrender him to the SPCA but I’m becoming desperate. - affectionate - loves laps - not food motivated - not dominant If you feel he’s the right fit for you, he will come with a beautiful cat tree, lots of toys, beds, litter box and a couple scratchers. This is a very difficult decision but I need to do right by him.

Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi there, I’m Jack, Sammy’s brother, and although Sammy included some great information is his writeup about us, there’s more information I should share. Before you read any further you must know that Sammy and I need to be adopted together. I rely on Sammy in stressful situations, like moving to a new home, to help me feel less vulnerable. I still sometimes get scared at loud noises and although I/m nervous when I meet new people once I know that you have treats and will give me the attention that I crave, I will become your best friend. I know that when you meet me and Sammy that we will be shy and it will take us some time to get comfortable around you, so I’m hoping with the information we share, and the photos you see, you will see how affectionate and loving Sammy and I are once we feel comfortable in a home. Sammy is the best brother! We run around the house and play together; we jump on the human bed in the morning and ask (quietly) for pets and snuggles together and we frequently sleep together. I should also mention that we play a lot at night. Maybe that will change as we get older but for now, we are night owls. In our fester home there are soft cozy beds under the human bed where we sleep during the day, with the big cats, or we sleep on one of the cat trees by a window. Sammy and I are easy going and like to spend a lot of time with our foster parents. They have a quiet home and that’s perfect for us. Because I have some vision challenges I’m not always as confident as my brother is, but I’m getting more confident every day. I know as I get older, I will experience more things that will also help me gain confidence. I can’t forget to mention that Sammy and I love boiled chicken! We get that as a treat in our foster home and it’s fabulous! We also have access to two different kinds of dry food and we sample a variety of wet food a couple times a day. Sammy and I are really excited about having an opportunity to have a family of our own and can’t wait to get settled into our new home. When we were little kittens living outside, we never dreamed of having a warm home and our own family. If you think you have the perfect home for us we would really like to meet you! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! Story
1) READ ENTIRE AD 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end). *****BONDED PAIR LOCATED IN MERCED AREA***** Meet the Yin and Yang duo: Mooshi and Jacob. These two kittens are complete opposites in both color and personality, yet together they form the perfect balance. Mooshi is a striking pure-white kitten who happens to be deaf. He was found wandering alone at night and stopped right in front of a gas station exit. Thankfully, a kind rescuer spotted him and took him in. Mooshi’s personality is as bright as his fur. He’s the life of the party zooming around the house, investigating every corner, leaping onto every surface, and playfully roughhousing with cats, dogs, and humans alike, all before you’ve finished your morning coffee. He’s got the energy of an Energizer bunny, but when he’s done, he’ll flop down dramatically and snooze without a care in the world. When nighttime comes and his batteries run low, Mooshi turns into a snuggle bug, seeking out warm cuddles with his favorite humans. Because Mooshi can’t hear, he’d do best in a home that isn’t too noisy or high-traffic, so he doesn’t get startled by sudden movements. Although deaf, his visual acuity is impeccable and helps him navigate the world beautifully. Jacob, on the other hand, is the calm to Mooshi’s storm. This handsome boy loves lounging on soft cat beds, cozy chairs, or a good perch on the cat tree. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always ready to lend an ear, literally, for his brother, Mooshi. While Jacob can be vocal when he’s hungry or wants attention, he’s mostly a laid-back sweetheart who enjoys human company and expresses his love with deep, rumbling purrs. Jacob also aspires to be a runway supermodel with his sleek build and long, elegant legs. And he’s not your typical black kitty, if you look closely, you’ll see subtle tabby stripes that add a stylish pop of pattern to his glossy coat. Together, they balance each other perfectly. Mooshi’s playful spark and Jacob’s soothing calm. Mooshi is DEAF so a special home is required. ________________________________________________________ ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) Hi, I’m Baguette, a slender beautiful tabby girl! I was a single kitten that was rescued from a property where I had a very large extended family. After my rescue, I got to go to a foster home to learn how to be an indoor kitty. I I have an easy-going, somewhat independent, personality, but boy do I love to play! Play time is my favorite activity, We have fun chasing and wrestling with each other and sharing all our toys. Wand toys are my personal favorite so my new family will want to invest in a few of these for me. Another favorite pastime is climbing to the top of cat trees so I can survey what’s going on below me. I have been known to snuggle with one of my kitty friends on the cat tree as well. Meeting new people makes me a little nervous so please be patient when we meet for the first time. Of course, offering me some delicious treats (Temptations or Churu) would go a long way in making me feel more comfortable. Toys are good icebreakers as well. Once I feel more comfortable, I will show you what a loving kitty companion I can be. I like being petted, and I will purr with gratitude, and will rub on your legs when I want attention or when it’s time for the wet food to be served. I do like my wet food so you might want to stock up on some of that as well (my foster dad can tell you what my favorite foods are). You will also discover that I like to lick your hands when you are giving me a belly massage. Now, this is an activity that we can share once we feel very comfortable with each other. I don’t spend a lot of time on laps (yet), but I’ll drop by your lap for some attention before moving on to my next exploration. I have been known to hang out on the couch next to my foster dad while we watch TV….just don’t forget the snacks! My perfect home would be a home with one of my foster siblings, because we get along so well. We are good friends and friends are important. I want to make sure that my new family will patient with me as I adjust to a new home, new parents and possibly new animal siblings. I want to be successful in becoming a part of your family and I will need your help to make that happen. I can’t wait to meet my new family. If you think that we are a purr-fect match please submit an adoption application so we can meet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
