Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with moderate cat experience Will be most comfortable with an adult only home Bonded Pair Ok with other cats Both need an inhaler Needs to be indoor only   Step aside, Batman and Robin. See you later, peanut butter and jelly. It’s time to meet the latest and greatest dynamic duo – Thunder and Broccoli! These quirky tabby boys are ready to fill your home with love, cuddles, and entertaining antics.   Thunder is a big boy with an even bigger personality. Friendly, affectionate, and confident, this lovebug craves attention and wants to be up close and personal with his people. He is a major lap cat, and his foster reports that he “sometimes sleeps in my arms with his paws wrapped around my neck and kisses my face.”  He eagerly approaches new people and makes a beeline for any item that catches his eye. He happily chats away with people and cats alike, and loves a good snooze in a sunny window. He also likes to let you know when he is done being pet or needs to play -- so knowing to watch body language is key.    Broccoli (the all brown tabby) is Mr. Popularity, the rare cat who gets along with everybody. He is friendly with other cats and people – to Broccoli, people just seem like oversized cats he can befriend. He also loves to play. Wand toys and balls are his favorite and he is an avid hunter of bugs. With intense focus, he will stalk a stray fly around the house for hours. It may sound surprising, but Broccoli’s favorite time of day is when he takes his inhaler! The churu probably has something to do with that, and this makes his asthma incredibly easy to manage.    Broccoli is described by his foster as “super soft and pure love.” Thunder entertains everyone with his funny, loud meow that sounds like a cartoon character, his snoring, and his many silly sleeping positions. These buddies share tons of snuggling,  grooming, and playtime. It doesn’t get better than that.   Thunder and Broccoli would do best with an easygoing, cat-savvy adopter in an adults-only home with no children. They would be happy to have other cats around as well.    Could you be the perfect match for this fun and funny duo? Thunder and Broccoli are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV. Thunder has tested positive for FIV. Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a calm/quiet home with older kids/teens Bonded pair May be okay with other cats Recommend indoor only John Wick and Ted Logan are brothers who make the perfect pair. They sport matching black and white coats, with the black mask over Ted’s eyes making him easy to pick out. These two share an incredibly sweet and strong bond. They eat from the same bowl, explore together, groom each other, and sleep in an adorable heap of black and white fur that makes it hard to tell how many cats you’re looking at.   Ted is playful, curious, but may still be a bit shy around people. He loves to play solo with his favorite plastic spring, carrying it in his mouth and swatting it around the floor. He’s eager to explore and leads the way when the brothers go check out a new room or sniff the new package that has arrived. Even when Ted gets spooked and retreats to a favorite hiding place, he’ll be back in a few minutes. He also loves finding unexpected new places to hang out. You never know when you’ll spy him peering at you from inside a bag or over the rim of the bathtub.   John is the more outgoing and cuddlier half of the pair. He enjoys chasing and wrestling with his brother, but he’ll choose pets over play almost every time. He’s very talkative, especially when getting pets or when it’s time for food. When John wants to be social or get attention, he hops up to a special place on his cat tree and meows to let you know.    John is helping his brother learn to be braver around people. While Ted will sometimes shy away from pets, when he sees his brother getting affection or curled up on someone’s lap, he feels more comfortable and wants to get in on the action. As their foster said, Ted is “a shy sweetie who loves affection, but needs a little help from his brother to be brave enough to get it.”   All cats are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form. January 29, 2025, 6:18 pm

Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with extensive experience Could join a calm home with teens Prefers to be the only cat Needs daily medication to help her stay happy and healthy Needs to be indoor only Are you ready to play? So is Sweets! Wands with feathers are must-haves, and if you have a tunnel, even better! Playtime is an important part of Sweets’ day. Like most cats, this beautiful tuxie girl with pale green eyes has a daily ritual she would like you to follow. It’s the feline version of Eat, Play, Love, followed by sleep in the evening.  Sweets gets ready for breakfast when she hears her person getting up in the morning. No worries, she’ll respect your privacy behind a closed door doing whatever humans do. Given how fast she eats, a food puzzle is a good idea to slow her down. Meal over, it’s time for 5-10 minutes of play and maybe some brushing. Sweets is content to let you work at home because her day is for exploring and napping.  A little more playtime with an engaged partner before dinner calms down her energy as the evening begins. Before bedtime, Sweets wants nothing more and nothing less than some couch time love and attention. You’ll never have to guess whether Sweets is feeling hungry or playful or just wants some me & you time because she is one talkative girl. She does need someone that knows cat body language, and when she is done with petting and playtime, or wants petting and playtime! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you’re ready to hang out with an entertaining cat, set up a meeting or have more questions about Sweets, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form .  January 14, 2025, 3:41 pm

Polydactyl, FELV-positive Best Match: May be a good match for families and/or first time adopters Needs FeLV-positive buddy and cannot live with FeLV-negative cats May be okay with cat-friendly dogs Needs to be indoor only Currently on a special diet to stay happy and healthy Meet the fabulous brothers Trout, Halibut, and Marlin. Two beautiful white kitties and an adorable orange boy that are all polydactyl! These playful, affectionate siblings brighten and enliven any home they enter. Although cautious when meeting new people, with a little patience Trout opens up into a very affectionate, playful little guy whose squeaky meows are reminiscent of a bird's chirping. Trout loves chasing things, pets, and belly rubs, and gives little pleased love nibbles when he's really getting into the petting zone. With his almost cartoonishly-cute face, Halibut's very presence has been known to brighten the day of everyone around him. Like his brother, Halibut loves flopping on his back for some belly rubs. He also enjoys playing fetch, and play-fighting with his brothers. Halibut is a dedicated snuggler, either with humans or with cats. Small but mighty, Marlin is an expressive fella. He will patiently and at length explain, through his chirps and squeaks, that his next meal or snack has yet to be delivered, although he is aware his people are doing their best and doesn't judge. Being polydactyl, he loves using those extra toes in his frequent bouts with the rainbow fleece wand or his favorite mouse toy. He’s less likely to snuggle with his brothers than they are with one another, often preferring human company. Trout, Halibut, and Marlin are an adorable trio that, between the three of them, comprise pretty much everything you'd want in a cat. Together, they form their own little society, and they welcome people who'd like to join them, once they've made it through the interview process with Trout. They are all currently on a special diet to keep them healthy and happy.  These youngsters were all born with FeLV, feline leukemia, which is a virus that attacks the cat's immune system. It is not a form of cancer. Cats with FeLV live normal, happy lives but have a shorter average lifespan than cats without the virus. Because of this disease, these cats must be isolated from cats without the disease, and should be kept indoors for their own health (and to prevent exposing other cats in the area). We’d love for these boys to get adopted together, in pairs, or to home with another FeLV positive cat.  Cat Town will cover medically-necessary care related to the disease through our “In It For Life” program, up to $500 per year per cat, to help these little ones live out their days in a loving home. Trout, Halibut, and Marlin are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV. They are FeLV positive.
