Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.In the heart of the city, Madeline, a 3 year old superhero cat, bravely survived some mean kids who were shooting at her with BBs. A good Samaritan saw what was unfolding and called us to help. Our volunteers went out and rescued sweet Madeline. Once at our vets office, she underwent surgery to remove all the BBs. We also had a complete dental done on her at the same time and she has a brand-new smile.  She was a bit timid at first, but who could blame her? Now after having a little time to settle in at her foster home, her bravery shines through daily interactions, showing a loyalty that warms the hearts of everyone she meets. Madeline has a knack for soothing the worried minds of humans with her calming presence. She's the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving friend.  Despite her heroic past, Madeline remains sweet, gentle, and loyal, waiting for her new person or family to offer her a loving home where her brave heart can continue to shine. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150. Apply to adopt this beautiful girl today!November 28, 2025, 4:01 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Our Pasta kittens are the most fun-loving 6 month old bunch of boys you will ever meet. They are also sweet and funny and will bring joy and laughter to any home. They can be adopted individually or in a bonded pair. They could also join a home with a resident cat, cat savvy dog, and children. Here are some individual characteristics about each of them. Macaroni - He is the master of mischief. He often mistakes the paper towel roll for his personal playground and sets out in creating the world's largest confetti pile. He is very friendly and is sure to keep you entertained with his antics. If you're looking for a kitty to add a touch of hilarity to your life, Macaroni's your guy. He promises to keep the paper towel shredding to a minimum in his new home.  Penne - His elegant tuxedo coat makes him a real looker. He is Macaroni's partner in crime. Yep, he is a paper towel shredder too, but he is also the feline embodiment of friendliness, cuddliness, and loyalty. He has an adventurous spirit, and his antics are sure to bring laughter and joy to your daily life. He loves to be held and doted on. Tortellini - He is full of curiosity and intelligence. He has a quick mind and is always at work, solving puzzles and exploring his surroundings. He's also an expert at finding the coziest and strangest spots for a catnap. His intelligence makes him a quick learner, easily adapting to new environments and situations.  They have been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $200 each or $375 for a pair. Adopt one (or two) of these special boys and enjoy a lifetime of pasta-filled adventures!November 2, 2025, 1:21 pm

One night, under a shimmering moon, she playfully chased a glowing butterfly that led her through the city's labyrinth, finally resting at our doorstep. Believing it was a sign, Suzette decided this was her new stage to spread joy. Friendly, goofy, and ever so cuddly, she's a bundle of fun, ready to bring laughter and warmth to a loving home. She gets along well with other animals, but she would be just as happy as a solo kitty. She self entertains very well, always pouncing on and playing with her multitude of toys. She has an overall fabulous personality. Adopt Suzette and let her magical spirit enchant your days and fill your nights with snuggles and purrs! She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.January 4, 2026, 3:33 pm

We're quite the pair, finding comfort in each other's company. I'm known for my gentle nature; I adore soft pets and quiet moments with human friends. Though I might be a bit shy at first, once I warm up, I'm all about the cuddles. If you're looking for a calm, sweet companion (or two, if you'll consider Peaches and me together), I promise to fill your home with tranquility and love. I love lounging on the couch watching TV with my humans. I also enjoy taking naps on my cat tree. The humans put it next to a big window which is great for me because I am an avid bird and squirrel watcher. If you think I could be the one for you, please apply to adopt me today. It means you will be giving me a forever home where I can feel safe and loved. I know my gentle spirit will flourish in the right hands. Eddie has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, current on flea treatment and microchipped. HIs adoption fee is $150.January 4, 2026, 4:17 pm

He has been a little shy since being rescued but every day we see his personality emerging. He is being fostered with two tiny kittens and even those he is a little guy himself; he has taken a protective role of them. It is so sweet. Bowie has a big heart that is full of love, and we know he will only continue to blossom. He loves toys and the cat tree. He especially loves hanging out by the window and watching all of the wildlife outside. He enjoys the scratching post and prefers that to furniture, so he is already a well-behaved boy. He also likes the cat tunnel to play in and fluffy blankets to sleep on. He has a very soulful way about him, and we know he is going to be a wonderful addition to some lucky person or family's life! He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. His adopt fee is $200. Apply to adopt Bowie today!October 16, 2025, 11:47 pm
