Story
Meet Ponyo, a lovable orange tabby who found his way into our hearts when he was discovered under a truck as a tiny kitten. Since then, we have provided him with a caring home and nurtured him into the well-behaved cat he is today. Ponyo is a delightful companion, effortlessly adapting to human interaction and getting along harmoniously with other cats and dogs. His open-mindedness extends to his diet, being unfussy about food, and he has impeccable litter training. This agile and athletic cat is in excellent health, maintaining his fitness without being overly indulgent in meals. Not only does Ponyo refrain from scratching furniture, but he also exclusively uses designated cat scratching items. He has never caused any damage to household items and is warmly embraced by everyone in the home. While Ponyp may initially show a bit of shyness and insecurity when introduced to a new environment, with patient care and companionship, he quickly reverts to his normal, affectionate self.

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Our Big Bang litter are four wonderful boys that someone abandoned on the side of the road in a box. How anyone could have left these sweet babies to fend for themselves we will never know. But we are so glad that a fellow animal lover alerted us of the situation so we could rescue these special boys. At 12 weeks old now they are ready to find their forever homes. They are fun, affectionate, loving and will bring a lot of joy to their new person or family's life. They could easily join a home with a resident cat, cat savvy dog or kids. They can be adopted individually or in a bonded pair. Here are some unique traits about each of them. Howard - This little guy is such a lovebug. He has an energetic and curious personality and is the adventurous one of the group. He loves taking naps in the bathroom sink. Its definitely a cool place to lounge on hot days. He is as cute as button and can't wait to have a home of his very own. Leonard - He is the observer of the group. He loves to hang out and watch all the action going on. He will join in but only when invited by one of his brothers. He would love to have entertaining bird movies to watch on TV or just hang out with you while you watch your shows. Sheldon - Just look at those markings. So adorable. He has a beautiful white coat with a black tail accent. He knows he's handsome and it could be because his foster mom tells him that every day. He enjoys every type of toy there is and is obsessed with the cat tunnel. An all-around great kitten. Raj - He is super affectionate. His foster mom says he loves to climb up into your lap and stay there for hours. He also loves climbing on his cat tree and napping in the cubbies. He has a very mellow temperament and would fit into any home dynamic seamlessly. They have been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $200 per kitten or $350 for a bonded pair. Apply to adopt one (or two) of these wonderful little guys today!May 15, 2025, 11:51 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Mutt and Jeff are two bonded kitties that we rescued from a horrible situation. They were living in a small pet carrier for over a year when we rescued them from a hoarding situation. They have been decompressing for a couple of months with us in one of our amazing foster homes and it has been a labor of love but now it is time for them to find their forever humans. They are approximately 2 years old and we have promised them that the rest of their lives they will be surrounded by love and affection. Mutt is the cream and white boy and he is still quite shy, but every day we see him healing more and more. He had a very broken spirit when he first came to us but now his foster mom can hold him in her lap and he is thoroughly enjoying all the love he is receiving. When he is not in her lap he is usually sleeping in his plush bed or in a cubbie in the cat tree. Jeff has a solid cream coat and has become very social and has a huge purr. He loves to play and enjoys pets and kisses from his foster mom. He definitely is the more outgoing of the two and will be the first one to seek out attention. We want to place them together because they are very bonded, especially because of the ordeal they survived. We are hoping that someone will see their story and want to give these two wonderful boys a chance at the life they deserve! They have been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee together is $250. Apply to adopt these two special kitties today!May 5, 2025, 5:02 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Amaretto is a 2 year old young lady that one of our volunteers rescued from a precarious life. She was living with her littermates on the street in a high danger zone. We couldn't leave them there, so our volunteer took all of them in to give them a chance at life. Amaretto is a shy girl, it will take her a while to warm up to her humans, but once she does, you have a friend for life. We know she appreciates having been rescued and wants to trust people so badly but it just takes her a little time. She could easily join a home with another cat or cat savvy dog. She is particularly fond of one of her siblings. So if you are interested in adopting a pair, please look at Kahlua's bio as well. They do not need to be adopted together, but if interested in two kitties, they would be a great duo. Because of her initial shyness, we would be open to a foster-to-adopt program with her. If you think she might be the one for you but want to do a trial period to make sure, we can arrange that. She loves her cat tree and soft beds in her foster home. And she is very treat motivated, so that would be a fast track to bonding with her. She just needs a forever person or family to give her a chance. We know her purrfect person will see her post and know she is the one! She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.November 5, 2024, 9:13 pm
