Story
Ribbon is a SUPER PRETTY girl. Her mother is a young Lynx and Ribbons has a under coat that is highlighted in cream. Really unusual coat and she's a tuxedo on top of that. She's been dumped with her mother and brother at a farm in a distance location. Luckily for them the nice lady at the farm took them in. They are keeping them safe and in a barn. But they are friendly and sweet kittens and need to be indoor only, non smoking home for the kitties. Ribbon, Buttons and Bows is the family .of kitties. For more information on these kitties call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Jimi is a sweet lil' boy who's been abandon by his owner in Detroit. He was a kitten owned by a guy who wasn't feeding him well, but they then he moved and put him in the basement of the apartment building without letting anyone know. He was found with another young black male kitty and both were pretty starved once discovered. They are both super affectionate and sweet and need love and especially a indoor family who will treat them like a family member. For more information and to see a video of him in action. He's friendly with other cats. Call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me initially at marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Eddie was found in a basement of a apartment in Detroit. He and another kitty, Jimi were owned by a young man who moved out and put them in the basement of the apartment building and no one knew they were there for awhile. Eddie is about four months old. He's exceptionally friendly and sweet. Very lovable, as is Jimi but Jimi in about six months older than Eddie. They were super skinny when found and they are both gorgeous boys. We are looking for a non smoking forever home for them, they are not bonded but they do love each other. They would need to be in a home with another accepting cat if adopted separately. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me initially at marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Cleo came to us out of a colony, she was obviously a stray not a feral. We took her in to be fixed but she was too friendly to dump back outside to live on the streets. Cleo is a happy kitty, she seems to be connecting on a level of knowing. She's got a second chance at a good life. We've had her for a while and gotten to know her. She's good around the dogs and cats we've had her with. She's been fostered with a handful of kitties and two small dogs. She will sleep on the bed and she'll spend endless hours being happy to view the outside world from a tall perch on a inside cat tree. She's just good company and can be a good friend. She's got that special black cat magical catatitude that so many black cats seem to have. They are teachers, they are great company and she is a sweet girl deserving of a family of her own. We are looking for a non smoking, indoor ONLY home for her. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514.

Story
Diana is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), female, DOB: 7/19/20. Diana came to Monroe SPCA as an emergency intake when she was a kitten of just 4 weeks. Her tail was one of the worst tail degloves we've seen - from tip to past the base of her tail. Hundreds and hundreds of maggots were embedded in her backside - volunteers had to remove them with surgical scrub multiple times daily until the maggots were gone. And after many baths and many maggots removed, finally, they were completely gone and it was time to heal. Not long after, the end of her tail began to show signs of gangrene and needed to be surgically removed (which was expected, given the damage done). Since then she's healed beautifully and the only remaining sign of the trauma is her hairless little nub on her rear. Her treatment included multiple antibiotics, flea preventative, dewormer, and ear mite treatment while in our care as well. Diana is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). She is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and she’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into her new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption. Diana currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above. All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption. Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI. Story
Luca is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, male, DOB: 8/27/23. Lively kitten playfulness along with plenty of delightful curiosity and fearless pursuit of adventure is one way to describe this adorably engaging, extremely friendly young feline. But only in-part. Throw in his wanting plenty of time on his daily itinerary for some independent exploring, but never too far away from his brother, Orzo, his people, or family activities; and a snapshot of who Luca is comes to light. But there is more yet. Very much a gentle soul, with a bit of a mischievous side too, Luca is a highly social and outgoing feline as well as being good-natured and entirely easy-to-please. Readily welcoming any pets offered as well as interactive playtime, Luca's purr motor gets pretty revved-up when he’s getting pets or being spoken too - and that is the best way to his heart; soft-spoken words and gentle pets are the easiest way to get to know this fast-growing feline, as unfamiliar situations can make him hesitate to engage immediately. But once he knows all is well, he is quick to purr and head bump his approval. Luca came to Monroe SPCA as part of a litter of four: Lira, Cannoli, and Orzo, born as a surprise litter to a family who couldn't support four more cats. He spent his first few months in Monroe SPCA in a foster home being bottle feed as needed, and was treated for fleas, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm while in our care. Once the litter was weaned, we were able to assist in getting mom spayed. Now a happy, healthy feline, Luca is looking for his forever home with a family who can give him the time and attention a young cat needs. Although Luca can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament. Luca is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings.
